Chapter 113 - Chapter 112: Odin's Failed Family Education

It was already obvious what Thor was going to do with the hammer he summoned; there was no need for further explanation, everyone already understood.

It must have been because he couldn't shut down Loki's spell on the Rainbow Bridge, so he decided to destroy the Rainbow Bridge!

Indeed, everyone's guess was very accurate.

Boom!

After Thor summoned his hammer back, he didn't say anything, but directly swung the hammer down hard at the Rainbow Bridge.

Amidst a violent burst of energy, a huge crater immediately appeared on the Rainbow Bridge, and cracks spread from it.

"What are you doing?"

Loki was completely stunned and deeply provoked, hardly believing that Thor would do such a thing.

This guy, to save the Frost Giants, the enemies of Asgard, decided to destroy the Rainbow Bridge, which was so crucial to Asgard?

"Stop it now!"

"What on earth are you doing!"

"If you destroy the Rainbow Bridge, you'll never see her again!"

Loki shouted repeatedly at Thor from behind, but Thor seemed not to hear him at all, remaining unmoved.

He just kept smashing the Rainbow Bridge fiercely with his hammer, blow after blow.

"In the future, will I go to such lengths for the Frost Giants?"

Thor looked at himself on the screen, finding it incredibly unbelievable and even a bit incomprehensible.

If the Frost Giants perished, they perished; why would he go to such great lengths to save them?

What exactly happened in the future that caused such a huge change in him?

Boom, boom, boom!

On the screen, Thor swung his hammer repeatedly, and the Rainbow Bridge was gradually smashed to the brink of breaking.

Loki could no longer hold back and suddenly rushed towards Thor, wanting to stop him.

"Forgive me, Jane!"

Thor murmured these words and then delivered one last powerful smash to the Rainbow Bridge.

"Jane? Who is she?"

The Thor present couldn't help but be startled; he had never heard that name before.

Could this be someone he knew in the future?

Listening to his conversation with Loki, it seemed this person was very important to him.

Boom!

Before Thor could make any sense of it, an extremely terrifying energy storm suddenly erupted outwards.

The energy storm was so immense that it knocked both Thor and Loki, the two brothers, off their feet, and both fell towards the bottom of the Rainbow Bridge.

At this critical moment, Odin appeared just in time.

He grabbed Thor's leg, and Thor, in turn, grabbed Loki's weapon.

The three of them, father and sons, were strung together on the Rainbow Bridge, with Odin clinging to the broken bridge, pulling his sons.

His two sons dangled in the air, swaying precariously.

The footage played up to this point was basically consistent with everyone's previous deductions; it seemed that Loki would soon fall into the cosmic abyss.

"I could have done it, Father!"

"For you, for all of us!"

Loki, suspended in the air, looked up at Odin and shouted loudly.

"No, Loki!" Odin, however, said to Loki with some heartache.

He could understand Loki's feelings, but Loki's actions had gone to extremes.

And upon hearing Odin's words, Loki was greatly struck and completely lost heart; with tears in his eyes, he let go of the hand holding his weapon.

He began to fall into the cosmic abyss, and soon disappeared from sight.

"No, Loki!" Thor's heartbroken roar echoed throughout the big screen.

The scene froze there.

"No, Loki, why did you let go!" The Thor present was also quite agitated.

"After Loki fell into the cosmic abyss, he had an encounter; a mastermind, very likely Thanos, showed him the true power of the Tesseract."

"So Loki began to steal the Tesseract, open a portal, and lead the Chitauri to invade New York."

Nick Fury didn't pay attention to Thor's emotions but spoke to everyone present.

Everyone nodded, the course of events should indeed be roughly like this.

After Loki fell into the cosmic abyss, Heimdall couldn't track Loki's whereabouts at all, and Odin and his son both believed Loki was dead.

It wasn't until several years later, when Loki caused trouble on Earth, that Asgard discovered him.

Then, to stop Loki, Odin didn't hesitate to use a lot of "dark energy" and sent Thor to Earth as well.

The events before and after were thus connected.

The recently played footage made some of the puzzle pieces everyone currently held even more complete.

"So, if this battle between Thor and Loki never happened, then the Battle of New York wouldn't have happened either?"

Captain America glanced at Thor and said meaningfully, and everyone else also turned their gaze to Thor.

Because what Captain America said was, to some extent, reasonable.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Do you think I want Loki to fall into the cosmic abyss?" Thor said with some annoyance, "I'm even more unwilling to see this happen than you are!"

"I have to say, this is quite a headache, Thor, does your father favor you more?" Tony Stark rubbed his temples, feeling a slight headache, "The battle between you two brothers is clearly a classic case of failed family education."

"Because Odin favored Thor more and neglected Loki, Loki felt extremely unbalanced inside."

"This imbalance accumulated in his heart for a long time and eventually erupted, causing Loki to cause trouble in Asgard."

This kind of thing was still obvious.

Loki wanted to contend for the throne; his original goal was not the throne at all, but merely to be on equal footing with Thor, nothing more!

This was truly a classic "second son vying for favor" family drama.

Such problems were also the most difficult to deal with.

If Loki's suppressed feelings didn't find an outlet, even if he was stopped once, there was no guarantee he wouldn't try again.

"Is that so? Did my father and I neglect Loki too much in the past?" Thor also fell into deep thought.

"Regardless, Thor, you already know Loki wants to destroy Jotunheim, so once you go back, you can prepare early!"

Captain America said to Thor again with a serious expression, "Try to avoid the worst-case scenario!"

"I will!" Thor nodded heavily, "If I really go back, I will definitely stop Loki in advance!"

Thor had already made up his mind.

He absolutely could not let Loki fall into the cosmic abyss again.
