Chapter 3 - Messiah / New information

Magia Loti: the magic of the world. Originally created by witchcraft, it has now transformed into a basic need for the people of the seven societies. The origin of Magia Loti came from the bright purple clouds above the surface called Omni Powder.

One day, a young witch wanted to create a new kind of living specifically for witches—a new source, better and more powerful than simple magic. Upon learning how to use Omni Powder, she combined her soul with a cloud that reigns over society today. That Omni Powder, turned Magia Loti, affected a certain large island—specifically the fruit of that island. That is where a new power comes into play: a new society, a new race, Gods, and God Stars.

BOOM!!!

A loud explosion set off in the middle of the city, next to the shop where Oulohara had been arguing about her license. It shook everything. A fragile lady fell to her knees and, to her surprise, one of the cabinets—filled with sharp displays of swords and heavy steel—began to tip over right where she had fallen.

"Shit!"

Oulohara's eyes widened as she grabbed the fragile woman's arm and pulled her out of danger; the cabinet caused the others to fall in a domino effect. The woman's body shook violently from the shock.

"Are you okay!?" Oulohara asked, as she instinctively let go and ran toward the door.

"Y-yes…?" The woman was not sure what had happened.

Oulohara dashed outside. Stampedes of people were screaming and running away from the explosion; a large inferno of flames and smoke covered a massive area in the center of City H.

(W-what the hell happened!? A bomb?) she thought, running toward the scene instead of away.

The smoke was heavy, and the noise was too loud for Oulohara to clearly hear her thoughts. But within that noise was a devilish sound. Not even a sound—a voice.

"Death… in 5… 4… 3…" the voice echoed loudly.

Oulohara's eyes went blank and wide. Her breathing stopped for a split second as she instinctively looked up. A bombshell, the size of an adult male, fell slowly down. She snapped out of it, her eyes regaining color as she pulled out her phone and dialed Hikari's number quickly. He didn't answer.

The voicemail prompt enabled, so she screamed into the microphone.

"HIKARI, CITY H IS GETTING—"

She couldn't finish her words.

"What? So you actually served and played a role in his transport?" Hikari asked, putting the papers back into the file.

"Y-yes…" she replied.

"T-this could be helpful! H-honey! You have to elaborate further! This could really help us!" the husband chimed in, grabbing her hands urgently but softly.

Hikari had her full attention. His eyes were locked on hers, and he made sure not to get distracted by any other sound.

"I-it was when I was twenty-five and worked as a guard for the Blood Pit and as the assistant transport officer. I also played a role in his capture. My ID was… 7793. O-oh, I'm sorry, but I never gave Mister Hikari my name. It's Tiki Paw. I just adopted my husband's last name—"

"Tiki Paw… you were on his case. I'm all ears; I need every detail I can get."

"Y-yes. I remember when my team was in the middle of deciding which floor he would be staying on; I remember him smiling and laughing about something. He didn't seem angry or upset about going to prison; he was smirking so wide that it made me nervous. Around fifteen months after, he had already racked up three retaliations and riots. But then… four months later, I… I retired. That's all that I have. After I retired, he escaped."

"Shit…!" The husband cursed under his breath.

"B-but what about children or labor!? Did he say anything about that in his time?" The husband tried to ask, but he was left with no response—only silence from her.

"I see. Thank you so much, Ms. Tiki, and you too, sir. I'll look into this and pass the information to the other societies. Truly, thank you," Hikari said as he stood up, bowing respectfully.

"N-no, thank you for allowing us to get extra information about our situation. Really…" Tiki whispered, her voice drifting off and cracking.

The two walked out of the room, with Hikari guiding them out. He walked back toward his seat and sat down, watching them walk down the hallway through the window.

BUZZ

"Huh?"

He felt his phone buzz inside his pocket. Curious, he grabbed it and saw the notification:

< VOICE MESSAGE FROM: OULOHARA~CHAN >

He clicked on it, and his eyes darkened.

"HIKARI! CITY H IS GETTING—"

The shout was followed by a loud, choppy explosion in the background, and the message ended. He didn't say anything. He just stood still; not a single bone moved in his body.

"What… the fuck?"

"AHHHHGRHH!!! FUCK!!!"

Oulohara lay on the ground, rolling in pain and clutching her arm. It was nothing but a burned stump, still leaking blood all over the broken ground. Her leg was bent unnaturally, spilling more blood than her arm, with the bone sticking out of the thigh. Houses and buildings were set ablaze, and debris fell from the poorly made concrete.

In the fire stood a figure that was tall and wide, wearing heavy armor. Her eyes tracked the figure as it began to advance toward her.

"Oulohara Vetage," the figure spoke through the fire, its voice a deep, masculine, and menacing tone. It echoed loudly, almost cybernetic.

"H-huh…?"

"It's so nice to see you after such a long time, y'know? How's your… arm?" they asked.

"W-who… the fuck…"

CRUNCH!

"G-GAHHHH!"

She felt an even sharper pain in her already mangled legs; it was too agonizing to handle. She looked up and saw an eight-foot piece of armor with a unique rainbow glow in its eyes and sharp edges on the shoulder pads. It held a large spear with a black metal base and a rainbow tip.

Her eyes widened. It was described just like the legends of her childhood: a creature that eliminated any threat that could potentially destroy a universe.

"Prepare to die… REINCARNATED SCUM!"
