"We are bound to be disturbed any moment now," Ophelia said, looking back at the door.
"Do not put your mouth on it," Dante said, placing his right hand on Ophelia's lower back. "You know they can sense it. Must you ruin this for me?"
Dante gave Ophelia a gentle nudge to bring her focus back to him. All that should be on Ophelia's mind now was seducing him.
Ophelia's laughter filled the bedchamber, and to Dante, it was a sweet tune.
"I'm sorry," Ophelia apologised.
"Did you straddle me because you expected someone to interrupt us?"
"No, but I did think it was funny. That nervousness is back. It's difficult to be bold once I think my actions through," Ophelia said, biting her lip.
Ophelia thought of whether they should put out the fire in the fireplace, so Dante wouldn't have to see her scars.
Dante noticed Ophelia's sneaking glances at the fireplace and said, "I can see you well even without the light. I have good eyesight."
