Chapter 7 - Inside the Altar

Ayesgebra saw a strange place in front of him, where white light was flickering in the purple sky. He wondered if they had come to another place again. But here he was alone, there was no one around him. At that very moment, two bright white spheres appeared in front of him, he could not understand what exactly they were. He brought them in front of him and touched them, and suddenly there was an explosion. His head was aching, there was a purple fog. The whole place was filled with purple fog. There he fainted.

.....

Ayes heard the rooster crow, the shadow of its large body completely covering him. The sun had risen. The sun's rays pierced the gaps in its feathers and fell on Ayes' face. He was relieved because the purple place was just a nightmare. Everything around him was back to normal.

Ayes saw his friend Kai sleeping next to him. But he looked much younger than yesterday. Everyone around him was sleeping. He didn't wake anyone up. He suddenly noticed.....

The strange thing is that all the sleepers seem to be the same age. Mr. Habib, who was over 40 years old, now looks like a 25-year-old. Aimi, who was 35 years old, now looks like a 25-year-old. He observed everyone carefully and realized that all those who were over 25 were stuck at 25 again. Only those who were under 25 had their skin and hair bright and smooth. Ayesgebra saw his hands and feet looked fresher than before. And the pain in his right hand was gone. He felt physically good more better than before.

Ayes was looking at the pictures on the wall to get a better look at the scene. The picture showed a man whose entire body was covered with cloth from head to toe. He was holding a sphere in one hand and a ring-shaped object in the other. And there was something written in strange letters below. He had no idea what the picture meant.

He thought for a long time. But he understood something. While walking, Ayes saw a map on the wall. Looking closely, he realized that the only way out of here was to cross the entire forest. He calculated that it would take two more days to cross this entire forest. If the face of darkness attacked again like last night, where would they take shelter again?

He examined the image more closely, seeing that there were more ancient altars like this. He breathed a sigh of relief. But the one where they were standing looked much larger than the other altars on the map. He felt that this altar was the center of this forest.

They had to cross two more altar and a river to get through this forest. Someone shouted from behind. Ayes looked back. It was Ziam, his scream woke everyone up. They all looked at each other. Then they looked at each other. And they were all amazed together.

They saw that everyone looked the same age. Ayes walked towards them. He said, "Those of us who were over 25 have turned 25 again. And those of us who were under 25 have their hair and skin shiny and smooth. Maybe more things will happen to us later."

Then everyone started talking together about why this had happened to them.

Ayes told them, "What were we doing together yesterday?"

We came to the altar together, saw the battle, and then we fell asleep."

Ayes said, "It's not because of coming here. We touched or ate something strange before."

He said again, "Is it because of the strange water and golden fruit we ate?"

Niva said, "We all ate the big golden fruits, but only a few ate the strange water."

Ayes said, "That means it's because of eating the golden fruits."

In a while, they accepted the situation. The area was empty because the animals had gone out in search of food.

Ayes led them all to the map on the wall and said, "If we want to get out of here, we have to cross two altars and a river." Taking out a notebook from her bag, Ayes

started to draw the map. In a while, she drew the map in detail on the notebook.

One of them said, "What should we do now?"

Ayes said, "We'll head for the altar first. Then we'll have to cross the river in the middle."

He said again, "We need to take a good look at the entire altar before we leave. In case we find anything important."

They passed through the huge door and entered. As they walked inside, they were surrounded by golden-blue runes. The light from the runes flickered and flickered, creating a strange rhythm. It seemed like they were trying to say something to everyone in some ancient language—but no one understood the meaning.

Kai reached out and tried to touch the runes.

Ayes stopped him immediately—

"No! We don't know what these are—"

But it was too late. The entire wall woke up as soon as Kai's finger touched the runes.

Shhhhhhhhhh—!

Soft light surrounded them, not harming them, but as if scanning for something.

After all the light disappeared, a stone staircase was visible deep inside the door.

They began to descend carefully.

Finally, they reached a large room.

In the middle of the round room, there was a high platform—like an ancient trial or election stage. All around were statues—not human-like.

A tall body, six fingers, blue stones in the eyes.

The posture of the hands was as if they had been waiting for someone for a thousand years.

Surprised, Ovi said—"Were they… really human?"

Habib shook his head and said—

"The power that is here… humans cannot create it."

Ayes's eyes fell on the objects placed on the platform.

On the platform lay a transparent sword, with star-like light grains floating inside. A staff—a round crystal on the head, inside which swirling wind and water danced together. A shield—a fiery phoenix was carved on the shield.

Melisa whispered in surprise—"These are… weapons! But they feel like life!"

Kai slowly noticed a sign—a circle under each weapon. Inside the circle were three runes—similar to the runes seen on the altar steps.

Ayes right hand—the hand that was first struck by lightning—suddenly began to ache. The sword reflected a bright light. Kai said in panic, " if this hurts—"

Ayes stopped. "I know… but I'm not afraid." The entire platform shook as he placed his hand on the sword.

Bang—bang—bang—

As if the sword itself was speaking to him.

A cold, clear, yet not human voice rang out inside his head—"The wielder is destined.

Awakened by the touch of lightning—you are the chosen one." Ayes tried to move away, but the sword flew into his hand and stopped.

Everyone looked shocked.

Nila widened her eyes and said—"What is this… are you controlling it?" Ayes shook her head and said—"I'm not… it caught me by itself."

The pole on the platform spun in the air and Kai appeared in front of him.

Kai stopped. The air swirled around his hand—like a circle. Kai grabbed it with his hand.

The dust particles on the ground began to float around the pole.

The artificial voice from the altar was heard again—"The holder of the flow is determined.

The hand that brings change is given the pole of control."

Kai was shocked. "This… this is giving me power."

The shield on the platform began to rotate with the wind again. The rotating shield of the wind came in front of Melisa. As Melisa stepped back in fear, the shield stopped.

The phoenix carved on the shield seemed to move. Melisa gathered courage and stepped forward. The shield stopped in front of her chest and glowed in a soft light.

The voice said—"The protector is determined. Among the three, you are the symbol of safety."

The shield didn't fall to the ground, but stuck to Melisa's arm. It felt like it had merged with her.

As the three weapons were selected, the statues glowed with light. The runes began to spin. Suddenly, the platform shook, and the wall below opened, revealing a passage—a staircase that descended into even deeper darkness.

Habib gasped—"Further in...? We've had enough already."

At this point, no one wanted to stay even a second longer. The air inside the altar became so heavy that it was difficult to walk.

It seemed that the surrounding walls were slowly closing inward.

Everyone quickly left, holding their weapons.

As they reached the door—

The darkness inside the sphere moved.

As if it were moving just before waking up.

A suffocating silence spread.

Habib said,

"Come on! Run!"

Everyone came out.

As they climbed the altar stairs and climbed up—

the dome door began to close automatically.

A metallic sound was heard—

Grrrrrrrr——clang!

Before the door was completely closed—the door light instantly lit up—a seal-code was activated—

Kai gasped,"Oh my God… if that thing had come out…"

The group was still waiting outside the altar, still shaking with great excitement, as if waiting for them. Suddenly, the wolves called. A whisper came to Ayes' mind. As if someone was talking to him. A word spoke in his head, "Thank you very much, because of you I was able to come to my senses yesterday. Take care of the weapon in your hand. Because it was the weapon of a primordial god. And it has chosen you. Since it is a spiritual weapon, it can be made big or small. Farewell to you."

"Ayes, where should we go?" Kai asked. He regained his memory. He looked ahead and saw the wolves leaving. He realized that this obstacle wolf had told him these words.
