Mianmian cleared her throat.
"So you changed your clothes… or did he change it for you?" Yuqi asked, lifting her right with a smirk.
Mianmian looked down, realizing she wasn't wearing her clothes from yesterday.
She had totally forgotten.
"What, you think I wouldn't notice?" Yuqi scoffed. "Oh he's really nice for that. I bet he'll be a better boyfriend than that unfortunate Wang Hao."
Mianmian glared at her.
"What! You know I'm always right about things like this. I warned you about dating Wang Hao."
"You didn't want me to date him because you never liked him from the start," Mianmian sneered.
"Still... in the end, I was right."
Wang Hao attended the same university as Yuqi, Yuze, and Mianmian, but he was one year ahead and just graduated this year.
Mianmian met him when she was a fresher; he had been volunteering as a guide for new students.
She fell for the good-looking, gentle senior, and they eventually began dating.
"Now shoo. Go freshen up. We need to be in the office in the next one hour," Yuqi said, waving her hand casually. She had already freshened up before rushing to Mianmian's place earlier this morning.
"Aren't you supposed to leave my bedroom for privacy?" Mianmian asked.
Yuqi frowned at her but ignored her and opened her phone instead.
After almost thirty minutes, Wen Mianmian was ready.
She wore a simple white blouse tucked into a short beige office skirt, clean and neat, the kind of outfit that made her look soft and effortlessly cute.
Yuqi was still on her phone when a notification popped up.
Yuze had sent her a video.
Under it he wrote:
"Isn't this Mianmian? Because it's going viral."
Yuqi clicked the video and gasped.
The audio wasn't very clear, but the visuals were unmistakable.
"Speaking about silent breakups… Didn't you say you and Wang Hao ended things quietly?" Yuqi looked up slowly.
"Yes, why do you ask that?" Mianmian replied.
"So can you explain what the hell this is!?" Yuqi shoved the phone toward her.
Mianmian grabbed it and watched the clip, and immediately color drained from her face.
"Oh my god…"
