But in the aftermath of their exile, the hearts of the fallen quickly grew cold. And the grief that tore through them became anger.
Thus they turned their eyes upon Lucifer, the Light-Bearer and they said: "Why did you turn our hearts against our Creator and our all?"
And Lucifer looked upon his brethren, his own pride a wound upon his spirit, and said: "I gave you truth. You made your choice as I made mine."
But they said unto him: "We would not have known had you not showed us."
They said: "You should not have shown us."
And: "You promised a glory of our own making! Where is it? I feel only hunger for what is lost!"
They clamoured in their anger and they did not listen to him further.
Then did strife break among them, for the bond that had united them was now the shared scar that festered. With no common purpose, they found cause in grievance against one another.
