The goods from the two ships were unloaded for over two hours. The two box trucks on the shore were basically stuffed full. Aileen gave a few instructions, then drove off in a cloud of dust. The others also got into their vehicles and followed the trucks slowly.
Sun Zhewen and Li Qian hid in the shadows, secretly grateful that they had driven Li Qian's unremarkable little car tonight. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to follow silently. Li Qian drove without headlights, relying on years of experience to cautiously trail behind the trucks.
The trucks bumped along the road until they arrived at a logistics center on the outskirts of the city and slowly stopped. Everyone quickly got out of the trucks and skillfully transferred all the goods into the warehouse. After they finished transferring, they all got back into their vehicles and left.
Li Qian cautiously approached, carefully examining the area around the warehouse. Behind the warehouse, he was pleasantly surprised to find that a window was unobstructed by any goods. He quietly picked the lock, gently opened the window, and put on his night vision goggles to cautiously survey the interior. Except for a small room by the warehouse entrance that was lit, the rest of the place was deserted. It seemed they frequently engaged in this kind of activity, to the point of being overconfident and complacent.
Li Qian crouched down and crept inside, taking photos of everything. He opened some boxes, which were all filled with brand-new, just-released mobile phones. He took photos of each one, roughly estimating there were at least several thousand or tens of thousands of them. There were also two tanker trucks in the warehouse. Without looking closely, he knew they were smuggling fuel. Each tank had a storage capacity of about 20 cubic meters. In addition, there was a mountain of chemical raw materials. He carefully examined the labels and saw that it was TDI, which was strictly controlled by the state. Its chemical name was Toluene Diisocyanate, and it was a fine chemical product recognized internationally for its high engineering investment, difficult production control, and high technological content.
Li Qian didn't dare to stay too long. After taking evidence, he quietly slipped out. The entire warehouse was simply a dangerous hodgepodge. If there were a fire accident, the consequences would be unimaginable.
He carefully restored the window and, together with Sun Zhewen, quietly left the warehouse. After exiting the logistics park, Sun Zhewen lowered his voice and asked, "What's in there?"
"The latest model phones, fuel, and most importantly, TDI," Li Qian said, panting.
"Ugh, what were they thinking, putting something so dangerous together?" Sun Zhewen frowned, his face a picture of disbelief.
"Yeah. What do we do?" Li Qian looked at Sun Zhewen, his eyes full of questions.
"Our only evidence right now only proves those phones are connected to them. Looks like we need to keep a close eye on this warehouse. We need to know where those things came from and where they're going," Sun Zhewen said after a moment of thought.
"Alright, I'll handle it," Li Qian assured, patting his chest.
"How are you going to handle it? You can't possibly stay here every day," Sun Zhewen asked, a little worried.
"Heh, how can a cop not have informants? I'll have them watch it," Li Qian smiled mysteriously.
"Informants?" Sun Zhewen's eyes widened in surprise.
"Yep, but you gotta cut me some slack when it comes to reimbursement, alright?" Li Qian winked.
"Don't be so obvious," Sun Zhewen said, shaking his head helplessly.
"Got it," Li Qian replied.
Sun Zhewen went home, washed up, and climbed into bed in the dark. He felt someone there and was startled. He quickly turned on the light and asked, "Who is it?"
"Why are you so late? Your phone was off when I called," Chen Qingyan said impatiently.
"Oh, why are you here tonight?" Sun Zhewen asked in surprise.
"I missed you. He went to the province anyway and won't be back for days, so I came to find you," Chen Qingyan said coquettishly.
"Ah, you scared me," Sun Zhewen patted his chest.
"Come on in, I can't wait," Chen Qingyan said as she began to undress him.
"It's late, let's go to sleep," Sun Zhewen said, a little tired.
"I'm rested, I have energy," Chen Qingyan said, kissing him.
"What's gotten into you today? You're in such a rush," Sun Zhewen asked, puzzled.
"It must be my ovulation period, hurry up," Chen Qingyan said urgently.
"We've done this so many times, why haven't we gotten pregnant?" Sun Zhewen sighed.
"I don't know, maybe we should get checked," Chen Qingyan said.
"Forget it, it's too embarrassing," Sun Zhewen said, a little embarrassed.
"There's nothing to be embarrassed about. For our future, it's better to get checked and have peace of mind," Chen Qingyan persuaded.
"We'll talk about it later, I'm exhausted today," Sun Zhewen said, rolling over and lying down, his voice thick with weariness.
"Hmph, no way, you have to do it properly tonight," Chen Qingyan mumbled, a hint of stubbornness and longing on her face.
"Sweetheart, I'm too tired," Sun Zhewen coaxed Chen Qingyan helplessly, his voice full of pleading.
"I don't care, I want it," Chen Qingyan persisted, her hands tightly embracing Sun Zhewen.
Sun Zhewen sighed helplessly and could only rouse himself to satisfy Chen Qingyan's request. He didn't know how long it lasted, but eventually, Sun Zhewen really couldn't anymore, and Chen Qingyan finally let him go, satisfied. Sun Zhewen said weakly, "I'm completely empty."
Chen Qingyan smiled and said, "Only when you're empty will you be obedient." After saying that, she nestled contentedly in Sun Zhewen's arms and soon drifted off to sleep.
The next morning, sunlight streamed into the room through the gaps in the curtains. Chen Qingyan woke up first and, looking at the sleeping Sun Zhewen, felt a little remorseful. She gently stroked Sun Zhewen's face, regretting that she shouldn't have been so demanding last night; it seemed she had really tired him out. But then she thought of the uncontrollable desire she had felt last night, and she felt her actions were perhaps excusable.
Sun Zhewen also woke up slowly and, seeing Chen Qingyan staring at him with wide eyes, said, "Last night we went to follow Fengyun Group's delivery. We found their storage location. They're not just smuggling phones, but also fuel, and Toluene Diisocyanate."
Chen Qingyan frowned slightly and said, "What are you trying to say? We don't have any evidence right now, so there's nothing we can do about them."
Sun Zhewen sat up, leaning against the headboard, and said worriedly, "Yes, they're storing the fuel and Toluene Diisocyanate together. If a fire breaks out, that place will be like a huge bomb. It's terrifying to think about it. The consequences would be unimaginable if something happened."
"So, what do you suggest we do?" Chen Qingyan also sat up, her expression becoming serious.
Sun Zhewen pondered for a moment and said, "I'm torn. If we just let it go, this time bomb is right next to us, and it could trigger a disaster at any moment. But if we let you organize safety inspections, I'm afraid we'll alert the enemy. They're smuggling, and no matter how dangerous it is, they can't let these things into the chemical warehouse. But right now, there's no evidence that Fengyun Group is involved in the smuggling. They could just throw these small fry out to take the blame."
Chen Qingyan sighed and said, "That's a real problem. So, what should we do next? We can't just sit here and wait."
Sun Zhewen looked troubled and said, "I'm trying to figure it out too. Right, last night, Aileen appeared at the delivery site."
"That woman having problems isn't surprising," Chen Qingyan snorted coldly. "She's never been one to be trifled with."
