Warren nodded.
"Gwen, today was only an act, but it still hurt you. Remember this. In the future, if you let a scheming friend stay by your side, she could eventually make this scene a reality."
Gwen's eyes widened. "You wouldn't turn against me someday, would you?"
Warren chuckled and shook his head. He walked up to Gwen and gently rubbed her forehead.
"Even if the entire world turns against you, I won't, Gwen. To me, you're very special."
Gwen's eyes immediately moistened. She rushed forward and hugged Warren.
"Next time, don't do that. I almost felt as if someone had punched me in the face."
Warren sighed and hugged her back, gently patting her back. "It's all right. I'm here now."
Rui Fan, watching the scene, coughed.
Both siblings looked toward him.
Rui Fan scratched his head before saying, "If something like this ever happens again and he gives you the cold shoulder, just come to me. I'll definitely be there for you."
