Ethan tilted his head slightly.
"So," he said, voice steady, "are we going to talk business… or are you going to waste my time?"
Klaue stared at Ethan for a long second… then suddenly burst into hysterical laughter.
"Business…? AHAHAHA—"
His face twisted.
"Kill them!!" he roared.
Dozens of guns cocked at once.
Ethan didn't even blink.
"Wrong choice," he said flatly.
A bright hexagonal energy shield snapped into existence in front of him—solid, wide, and shimmering like a wall of blue light.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Every gun in the room opened fire.
The bullets hammered the shield… and did absolutely nothing.
Storm moved instantly, swords flashing, cutting down stray rounds that bounced off from the sides.
Grant raised his guns, but hesitated—there was no gap to shoot through yet.
Sharon crouched, scanning angles, waiting for an opening.
The moment the magazines emptied, Ethan flicked his wrist.
"Storm."
Storm responded before the echo of gunfire even faded.
He threw a single shuriken.
It wasn't ordinary.
It was one Ethan had made—an anti-gravity shuriken, glowing faintly with blue lines.
The shuriken spun through the air, and the moment it passed the guards—
WHOOOM—
Gravity flipped.
Dozens of Klaue's men were suddenly ripped into the air as if hooked by invisible ropes.
Their guns spun away first, smashing into the ceiling… and then the men followed.
WHOOOM—
Gravity inside the radius went completely insane.
Bodies flipped, rotated, and slammed into walls and crates.
Some spun helplessly like puppets.
Others tumbled through the air, arms and legs flailing as they tried to grab anything solid.
A few unlucky ones scraped across metal beams, getting cut or slammed aside as Storm's single shuriken maintained the anti-gravity field.
Screams echoed everywhere.
Klaue barely managed to grab a railing above, eyes wide with terror as half his army floated wildly below him.
"What—WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?" he shouted, voice cracking.
Storm, Sharon, and Grant stood completely untouched behind Ethan, watching bodies and weapons swirl helplessly in the air.
"What the fuck…?" Sharon muttered, staring at the chaos.
Ethan nodded casually. "Hmm. It works better than I imagined. But the effect only lasts ten seconds. What do you think, Storm?"
Storm sheathed his sword, still watching the floating men. "A single gravity burst is enough. If I used this mid-fight, I'd be forced to stop for ten seconds. But if I'm running or cutting a path, a gravity wall would work better—just block the way and keep them stuck."
"Hm. Okay," Ethan said, already thinking it through. "I'll create two versions, then. One single burst… and one long-duration gravity wall."
"You created this?" Sharon asked, raising an eyebrow.
Ethan nodded casually. "Yeah. A gravity shuriken. Pretty cool, right?" he added with a smirk.
Sharon looked at him, unsure what to say, and simply stayed silent.
Ethan then looked up at Klaue, his tone turning cold and sharp.
"Now," Ethan said, "are you coming down willingly… or should I smash your head against the walls a few times too?"
Klaue froze, gripping the railing tighter. His face twitched.
"O-Okay, okay, slow down, man!" Klaue said quickly. "H-How about we make a deal? Some of this… equipment, some weapons—something for the vibranium. I'm ready to negotiate!"
Ethan stared at him, unimpressed.
"Nah," he said calmly. "You lost the right to negotiate the moment your dogs tried to shoot me. So now you have two choices…"
He pointed one finger at Klaue.
"Your life."
Raising another finger he said.
"Or the vibranium."
Klaue's face stiffened instantly—like he had just swallowed something rotten. His jaw tightened, and sweat formed along his forehead.
He realized Ethan wasn't bluffing.
And he only had one choice if he wanted to leave here alive.
Klaue stayed frozen, gripping the railing so hard his knuckles turned white. His men were still spinning helplessly in the air, crashing into crates and beams as the last few seconds of the gravity field ticked down.
Ethan sighed and checked his watch.
"I don't have all day," he said calmly. "So decide. Fast."
Klaue swallowed hard. His eyes darted around—the chaos, the unconscious guards, Storm standing calmly with his swords, Grant's guns aimed steadily, Sharon already calculating angles…
And Ethan, looking at him like he was nothing more than a minor inconvenience.
The gravity field finally collapsed—
WHUMP—
Dozens of Klaue's men crashed to the ground in a messy heap.
Klaue flinched at the sound.
He knew exactly what would happen if he chose wrong.
"O-Okay… okay!!" Klaue shouted, raising one hand in surrender while still clinging to the railing with the other. "V-Vibranium! Fine! I'll give it to you!"
Ethan didn't react. He simply stared.
Klaue's voice shook. "Just—just don't kill me…"
Ethan raised one eyebrow."Good choice."
He turned slightly to the side.
"Storm."
Storm vanished in a blur.
Klaue yelped as a moment later Storm appeared right behind him at the railing, sword resting lightly against Klaue's neck.
Ethan approached slowly.
"Take us to it," he said. "And don't try anything smart. You won't get a second chance."
Klaue nodded rapidly, trembling so hard he nearly slipped.
"O-Of course… right this way… j-just don't kill me…"
Sharon whispered to Grant, "Can't believe this idiot tried to fight us."
"there is no shortage of idiots in the World" Grant shrugged.
Klaue climbed down from the metal platform, legs shaking so badly it was a miracle he didn't fall face-first. Storm walked right behind him, sword still resting casually—yet lethally—against Klaue's spine.
Ethan followed at a steady pace, hands in his pockets, eyes scanning the warehouse interior.
They moved deeper into Klaue's compound—past towering crates, weapon racks, and black-market tech stacked in dusty piles. Klaue kept glancing back every few seconds as if expecting Ethan to suddenly vaporize him.
Ethan noticed.
And he frowned slightly.
Why is he so damn… cooperative?
Most people facing death broke—begged—cried.
But Klaue?
He was scared, sure, but his eyes were darting a little too actively.
He's planning something.
But Ethan shrugged inwardly.
Doesn't matter. I get the vibranium either way.
They reached a reinforced door at the end of a metal walkway. Klaue quickly scanned his hand on the panel, the lock releasing with a heavy clunk.
"This… this is my private office," Klaue said shakily. "T-The vibranium samples are inside. I—uh—I kept them separate for safety."
Storm narrowed his eyes. "Safety for who?"
Klaue forced a weak laugh. "For… everyone?"
