I woke up stretching myself, feeling the familiar ache in my muscles from the long train ride and everything that had happened over the weekend.
It was 11:30 A.M. now.
I grabbed my phone from the small table beside the bed. The screen lit up with a flood of notifications, so many messages and missed calls.
I thought I should let Sofia know I was back. My thumb hovered over her chat.
"Hey, I'm back," I texted simply, hitting send.
As I stared at the screen waiting for her reply, my phone buzzed with an incoming call.
Michael. Calling me so early in the morning? What the hell did this fucker want?
I picked up anyway. "Hey bro, what's up?"
"Bro, are you back?" he asked right away, voice excited.
"Yeah, bro," I said, rubbing sleep from my eyes.
"You're coming to college, right?" he pressed.
"Yeah, I think. I don't know," I replied honestly. I hadn't planned anything yet.
