Chapter 46 - YAY! HERE SOME GOOD NEWS

Yay, I think a new chapter is finally on the way!

Originally, I planned to continue the current Game 4.

I had already decided on a Redemption Arc for Jerry, an utterly useless member of Cedric's team.

However, no matter how many times I rewrote it, I literally cringed at how terrible the quality was. Like, I'm dead serious—I already have about 20 draft chapters sitting on my laptop right now.

Because of that, I've decided to completely scrap the redemption arc, the team battles, and everything related to it.

Instead, I'm just going to wrap up Game 4 in a single chapter.

After that, we'll head straight back to the slice of life pacing in New Eridu.

Honestly, it's a bit of a shame since this is definitely the worst arc of this entire fanfic.

Still, I'll treat it as a lesson learned and think things through much more carefully before starting an arc in the future. Lol.

Also, I sincerely apologize for the delay!

It has been quite a while since I announced that I would continue writing, and only now am I finally getting a chapter out.

Side Note:

By the way, I was originally supposed to launch a brand-new fanfic and write both stories simultaneously.

It was planned as a multiverse fic.

The basic premise is that the MC dies, gets a second chance at life through reincarnation, and has to travel across different worlds.

His goal is to complete system quests by helping individuals in each universe fulfill their "wishes."

However, problems began right after I finished the warm-up section in the MC's current world, Arknights.

The real trouble started when I sat down to outline the First Mission Arc.

My initial plan was to have the MC enter the world of Yugioh The Sinful Spoils. A world where I absolutely love both the related Yugioh decks and it's lore.

That was already a risky gamble, considering the lore only exists in card art and reference text.

Then, right as I was preparing to write, an anime adaptation for The Sinful Spoils was announced!

I really hate writing details that contradict the original creator's official lore.

Because of this, I have to wait until late this year, when most of the core anime material is released, before I can actually begin writing.

So yeah, thanks to the drafting process for that story, I ended up with plenty of fresh inspiration.

Since I will have a lot of free time while waiting, I decided to fully lock in and take this current fanfic seriously again.

And maybe instead of continuing that aforementioned fic, I might write another one in parallel. I've been brainstorming ideas for Yugioh 5D's, but well, it's all just ideas for now.
