"Then I activate that effect—sending the equipped [Chaos Balefire Allure Queen] to the GY, and Special Summoning the ATK 800 'Witch' monster [Crystal Sprite Archsage — Kirara] from my Deck!"
A gentle starlight shimmered into shape. A young girl in a pale violet dress, hood embroidered like a magician's cap, appeared holding a translucent star-staff, standing firmly on the field.

Ichiro's eyes narrowed toward Yusaku's side.

Snatching up a card as if drawing a blade, Ichiro drove forward without hesitation, slamming it into his Duel Disk.
"I activate the Aggression Spell [Crystal Sprite Witch — Feather of Light]!"
"I can only activate this if I control only an 'Archsage' monster. I send 1 Spell/Trap monster or 1 Spell Card from my Deck to the GY!"
"I send the 'Priestess' monster [Witch Priestess] from my Deck to the GY!"
The card became a streak of light and plunged into the GY zone. Ichiro's grin widened again.
"I activate the effect of the [Priestess] I just sent!"
"I can banish this card and 1 'Witch' Spell/Trap from my GY to activate [Angel Descent]!"
"My [Crystal Sprite Witch — Feather of Light] is treated as a 'Witch' card by rule, so I banish it together with [Witch Priestess]! This resolves as the activation effect of [Crystal Sprite Witch — Feather of Light]!"
"And [Crystal Sprite Witch — Feather of Light]'s original effect is: when my opponent activates an effect, I can Special Summon 1 'Archsage' monster from my hand or Deck!"

Ichiro pulled a card from his Deck and slammed it down.

A torrent of flame erupted from the ground. A flame-marked mage in battle robes emerged, red hair whipping like living fire, heat-haze warping the air around him.

"An Archsage, huh?" Yusaku crossed his arms over his chest, a playful curve in his lips. "Interesting. A new gimmick?"
Hearing that, Ichiro flicked a dismissive wave, cold pride on his face.
"To build this Deck, I fought countless duels! Every card in it was won from losers. After my own careful tuning, this Deck's strength has already reached its peak!"
"So when this duel ends, your God Card will become just another trophy in my collection!"
He slowly brought both hands up in front of his chest.
"If you've got hands and feet, you'd better start activating something now—because in a moment, you won't even be able to move!"
Yusaku let out a cold laugh. "No need to swing your arms around. I'm honestly curious, though—this 'carefully calculated' Deck of yours… what kind of board can it actually spit out?"
"Then watch in silence. This will be the sealing board that drives you into complete despair!"
"Now, I Link Summon!"
Ichiro swept his arm. Two monsters on his field lit up at once.
"I use [Allure Queen LV3] and [Crystal Sprite Archsage — Kirara] as Link Materials!"
"Link Summon! Link-2—[Cross-Sheep]!"
Two beams of light shot into the Link Circuit overhead. As the arrows flared into place, a sheep-like Link Monster drifted down onto the field, settling firmly in position.

The instant the summon completed, Ichiro raised another card already sitting in his Spell/Trap Zone.
"Next, I activate the other effect of the Continuous Spell [Link Wings]!"
"I can send 1 other Spell/Trap I control to the GY: Special Summon as many 'Allure Queen' monsters from my GY as possible!"
He pulled the Field Spell [Allure Palace] off the Duel Disk and sent it away.
"I send [Allure Palace] to the GY! By [Link Wings]'s effect, I Special Summon [Chaos Balefire Allure Queen] and [Allure Queen LV3] from my GY!"
He slammed down a card decisively.
Dark violet flames surged up from the GY zone. The queen of chaos and the lower-level queen both re-formed on the field in Defense Position.

As soon as the monsters appeared, Ichiro's mouth curled.

Two more rays plunged into the Link Circuit. The arrows ignited again.
A figure in crimson armor descended—wielding a staff that looked like it had shattered amethyst, violet phoenix-feathers streaming behind him, mechanical precision and sorcery intertwining in his aura.

After the monster landed, Ichiro immediately played a new Field Spell.
"I activate the Field Spell—[Tower]!"
"When this card is activated: I add 1 [Summoner — Clyst] from my Deck to my hand!"
As the search resolved, Ichiro slotted the retrieved card into his hand, then pointed straight at [Zoroa, the Magistus of Flame] on his field.
"Next, I activate [Zoroa, the Magistus of Flame]'s effect!"
"I can target 1 'Magistus' monster I control: equip it with 1 'Magistus' monster from my Extra Deck as an Equip Spell!"
"I target itself. I equip [Artemis, the Magistus Moon Maiden] from my Extra Deck to [Zoroa, the Magistus of Flame] as an Equip Spell!"
He slapped the Extra Deck monster down onto the Disk.
A holy radiance unfolded behind Zoroa. A maidenly figure appeared, bathed in gentle moonlight.
"Right now!"
Ichiro's shout jumped sharply in volume.
"I activate [Zoroa, the Magistus of Flame]'s other effect!"
"If this card becomes equipped with a 'Magistus' Monster Card: I can Special Summon 1 Level 4 Spellcaster monster from my hand or GY in Defense Position!"
"I Special Summon [Crystal Sprite Archsage — Kirara] from my GY!"
Soft violet starlight blossomed again. The hooded girl re-formed on the field.

Ichiro drew the card cleanly into his hand, displayed it briefly, then slammed it down.
"[Spoon, the Seal of Magistus]'s effect! I discard this card to add 1 'Magistus' monster from my Deck to my hand!"
"I send it to the GY, and add [Crowley, the Gifted Magistus] to my hand!"
The Duel Disk's lights blinked as the search completed. Ichiro pulled the card free, revealed it, and played it hard.
"[Crowley, the Gifted Magistus]'s effect!"
"If this card is added to my hand, except by drawing it: I can Special Summon it!"
"I added it by [Spoon, the Seal of Magistus]'s effect, so I Special Summon it to the field!"
Green magic burst forth. A youthful mage appeared, a staff in hand, aura sharp and scholarly.

Ichiro barked.
"I activate the effect of the [Crowley, the Gifted Magistus] I just Summoned!"
"I can Fusion Summon 1 'Magistus' Fusion Monster or 1 'Invoked' Fusion Monster from my Extra Deck, using monsters from my hand or field as Fusion Materials!"
"And if I use this face-up card as Fusion Material, I can treat its name as [Aleister the Invoker]!"
Ichiro fixed his gaze on Yusaku.
"I activate this effect! I send [Crowley, the Gifted Magistus] itself, and the monster [Crystal Sprite Archsage — Kirara] on my field, to the GY as Fusion Materials!"
As his chant fell, the two monsters became twin streams of golden energy, shooting into a Fusion vortex overhead.
In the next instant, heavy hoofbeats thundered across the field.
A massive beast clad in gold armor burst from the vortex, dragging an ornate chariot. On the chariot stood a monster in silver-white holy armor, shield in the left hand and sword raised high—radiating crushing pressure.

Ichiro spoke immediately.

"Synchro: all monsters I control gain 700 ATK."
"Xyz: all monsters you control lose 700 ATK!"
"And the monster Special Summoned to its zone is the Fusion Monster [Invoked Mechaba]!"
"So, by effect, I Special Summon 1 Level 4 monster from my GY!"
"I choose to Special Summon [Crowley, the Gifted Magistus] from my GY!"

Ichiro inserted the card into the Disk.

"I equip the Fusion Monster [Aiwass, the Magistus Spell Spirit] from my Extra Deck to [Zoroa, the Magistus of Flame]!"
As the equip effect resolved, Ichiro drew another card from his Extra Deck.
"[Magistus Chorozo]'s effect!"
"If I send 1 Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Monster I control, and 1 Spellcaster monster, to the GY, I can Special Summon this card from my Extra Deck!"
"I send the Fusion Monster [Aiwass, the Magistus Spell Spirit] that's currently equipped in my Spell/Trap Zone, and the Spellcaster monster [Artemis, the Magistus Moon Maiden], to the GY!"
"I Special Summon [Magistus Chorozo] to the zone [Cross-Sheep] points to!"
Before the words even finished, countless particles of light gathered, forming a small creature with fluffy black-and-white fur and lively twitching ears, landing firmly where indicated.

After summoning this special Fusion Monster, Ichiro looked at Yusaku with a smug, triumphant sneer.

"Well? This kind of summoning that surpasses convention… isn't it a height you can't even reach?"
Yusaku folded his arms and smiled faintly. "So-so. Truly powerful Fusion has never needed that many tedious restrictions."
Hearing that, the surrounding players nodded in agreement.
"What's this guy so confident about? Real Fusion doesn't need this many hoops. I've seen Decks that Fuse just by sending cards!"
"You mean that mermaid Deck? No idea when the devs will finally release them."

Listening to the players' nonsense chatter, Yusaku couldn't help letting his smile deepen slightly.
Typical. No matter the situation, these goofball players could turn it into a comedy club.
Ichiro also caught parts of their chatter, but his face was full of contempt, not caring in the slightest.
He'd dueled these weirdly dressed people before. Their Decks were mediocre, yet their mouths were always huge. And after losing, they never had any truly rare cards to pay up with.
