Lord Berin was on the ground, unconscious.Zes climbed on top of him, and his fist became wrapped in flames.

Blood spurted from the severed limb — splurt—splurtZes staggered in pain, while Berin was clearly not himself.
The white light still shone in his eyes.He suddenly sprang to his feet, seized Zes by the throat, and dragged him with blinding speed — WHOOOSH! — slamming him into a wall — KRAAASH!
Blood poured from Zes's mouth.
As Berin strangled him, Zes compressed all of his fire element.

When it cleared, Zes was standing, covered in blood but alive.Berin was on the ground.
Zes began laughing.
Zes: HAHAHAHAHA! You scared me for a moment, you son of a bitch. It's over. I win.(I used too much elemental magic at once… I won't be able to use it again for a while, but it doesn't matter. I can escape now.)
Just as he was celebrating, a streak of light flashed past him — SWISH!
Zes realized Berin was no longer lying where he had been.He turned toward where the light stopped — behind him.
Berin was standing there.
He was holding an arm.
Zes looked down at his remaining arm…It wasn't there.
His other arm had been torn off too — faster than he could even perceive.
Zes shrieked in agony.

Without arms to balance himself, he collapsed to the ground.
Lord Berin seemed even further gone, as if nothing human remained.He climbed onto Zes's body. His hands glowed with a white-and-gold light and he began striking over and over—
THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD!
Each punch punctured Zes's body.Zes screamed… but only for seconds.
He was already dead.
Yet Berin did not stop.He continued to tear Zes's corpse apart mercilessly.
Kartz stood frozen in shock.
Kartz (thought):(This is elemental magic… My lord is using elemental magic… But he's not himself…)
Kartz called out anxiously.
Kartz: He's dead, my lord! Please stop!
But Berin did not stop.
After a while, Kartz's shouting finally caught the attention of Berin's lost consciousness.
