Whoosh— A small, pinkish-brown figure darted from the tall grass, followed closely by a menacing, dark silhouette. It was a Shiny Buneary being hunted by a Seviper.
The Seviper flicked its blade-like tail, eyes gleaming with predatory greed—until it noticed Kaito. In that instant, every instinct in the snake's body screamed. Kaito didn't move, but his Champion-tier Psychic Power radiated a pressure so intense it felt physical.
Terrified, the Seviper vanished toward the horizon in a blur of speed.
"Mi?" The Shiny Buneary skidded to a halt, looking at the empty space where its predator had been, then up at Kaito. It sensed an irresistible warmth from him. Kaito knelt and stroked its long, soft ears. "It's alright now. You're safe."
