Chapter 224 - Chapter 224 Healing, Nangong Wan's Climbing Bite.

Chapter 224 Healing, Nangong Wan's Climbing Bite.

"Ah~!" The little girl was startled, wondering how the beautiful older sister in front of her had seen through her thoughts.

"If you understand, hurry up and do it. If you behave well, we'll return the house to you when we leave, and you won't have to return the money you paid for it." Ye Guyi said impatiently.

"Yes, yes, yes!" The little girl was slightly startled and quickly ran to boil water. Someone who didn't care about five or six hundred gold soul coins was indeed not someone she could afford to offend.

After the outsiders left, Ye Guyi came to the bedside and tore open Wu Xuan's clothes. Four scratch marks came into view. "Huh! The wounds have actually improved a bit?" Ye Guyi was shocked. She really didn't expect Wu Xuan's recovery ability to be so strong.

Of course, all of this was thanks to the Soul-Breaking Spear, which had evolved into a god-level martial soul. The life gold embedded on the other side of the spear blade burst out with enormous life force to help him heal himself.

In his dazed state, Wu Xuan only felt a cool sensation in his mouth, followed by a large gulp of icy water being roughly poured into his throat. Because the person pouring the water was rather clumsy, a considerable amount also ended up in Wu Xuan's nostrils.

"Cough, cough..." His eyes snapped open, and Wu Xuan hurriedly lowered his head, coughing violently. After a while, he finally raised his head, his face flushed, and looked at Ye Guyi beside him, who was holding a bowl of water and seemed somewhat bewildered. "Are you trying to murder me?!"

"Drink it or not, it's up to you!" A hint of embarrassment flashed across Ye Guyi's pretty face. This was her first time taking care of someone, and she felt she had done a pretty good job.

Wu Xuan leaned back, looking as if he might cough up blood again at any moment.

"Wu Xuan, are you alright? How are you feeling now?" Ye Guyi quickly stepped forward to support Wu Xuan.

"Of course it hurts, it hurts terribly, my whole body aches." Wu Xuan looked up at the sky. His soul power had basically recovered, but its circulation was fraught with difficulties, especially in his chest, where at least five ribs were broken, causing constant sharp pains.

"Then bear with it, I'll bandage your wounds!" Ye Guyi said, taking out some clean cotton cloth from her storage soul tool and pouring some pale green liquid from a jade bottle. She then slowly wiped the bloodstains near Wu Xuan's wounds.

After carefully cleaning the wounds, Ye Guyi poured more white powder from a jade bottle. Stimulated by the powder, Wu Xuan's body tensed, and he couldn't help but gasp.

"Does it really hurt that much? This is the healing medicine you gave me before!" Ye Guyi looked at Wu Xuan suspiciously.

"Uh, actually it's not that bad, it doesn't hurt that much!" Wu Xuan chuckled awkwardly. These two bottles of healing medicine were made from thousand-year-old herbs that Wu Xuan had seized from the Xi Shui Alliance. For the Po Clan, alchemy was a piece of cake. At the time, Wu Xuan didn't consider much; he only pursued one thing: quick and effective results. He didn't even consider whether it would cause any stinging or pain, never imagining it would end up on himself.

"That's good!" Ye Guyi smiled slightly, evenly sprinkling the powder on the wound, then took out some hemostatic cotton and wrapped it up.

"Alright, the wound is treated. The remaining internal injuries will have to be treated slowly." Clapping her hands, Ye Guyi took a step back and smiled.

"Thank you." The initial stinging pain from the healing medicine had subsided, replaced by a cool and soothing sensation. Wu Xuan drifted off to sleep.

"Hey, wake up and eat!"

A clear laugh woke the sleeping Wu Xuan. Opening his eyes, he saw the fragrant six dishes and soup laid out before him. Wu Xuan was slightly taken aback, looking up at Ye Guyi, whose beautiful eyes were fixed on him. "You can actually cook?"

"What? Surprised? Angels are human too, it's normal for them to know how to cook!" Ye Guyi's lips curled up slightly, clearly pleased by Wu Xuan's surprise.

Taking the plain rice and a piece of glistening beef that Ye Guyi handed him, Wu Xuan wolfed it down. It has to be said that Ye Guyi's cooking skills were passable; while not particularly delicious, they were at least edible.

"I know I'm a good cook, but you don't have to eat so fast!" Ye Guyi exclaimed in shock, her mouth agape as she watched Wu Xuan devour a bowl of rice in less than a minute.

"Sigh! It's a habit. Back in the inner courtyard of Shrek Academy, mealtimes were always this rushed!" Wu Xuan sighed as he watched Ye Guyi serve him rice.

"What kind of academy is Shrek Inner Court?" Ye Guyi couldn't help but ask curiously.

"It's a sacred cultivation ground where the top geniuses of the entire continent gather. The students in the inner courtyard are geniuses among geniuses! There's a simulated cultivation environment adapted to various martial souls, various medicinal baths for strengthening the body, and pills to aid cultivation. Even the worst food is ordinary thousand-year-old soul beast meat. Of course, geniuses like me are rare even in Shrek Academy," Wu Xuan said, raising an eyebrow slightly.

Ye Guyi rolled her eyes upon hearing this and handed the bowl of rice to Wu Xuan. This guy, though narcissistic, was undeniably talented. She was now genuinely curious about the academy that could cultivate a genius like Wu Xuan.

"Miss Ye, you're welcome to visit our Shrek Academy sometime. I'll show you around; you can even freely enter the inner courtyard," Wu Xuan said, raising his chopsticks.

"Eat your food! We'll talk about the rest after you've recovered."

"Master, what brings you here?" Elder Li Jiang, looking at the furious Master Zhongli Wu on the main seat and Nangong Wan kneeling below, initiated the conversation.

The Holy Spirit Sect's powerful members are divided into two factions: Elders and Retainers. The Elders are all, without exception, evil soul masters, personally trained by Zhongli Wu, and are the most loyal direct descendants of the Holy Spirit Sect.

The Retainers, however, are a mixed bag; not all are evil soul masters. Many are powerful outsiders invited by the Holy Spirit Sect. Compared to the Elders, the Retainers are stronger and less constrained, generally not residing within the Holy Spirit Sect, only appearing when summoned by Master Zhongli Wu.

Zhongli Wu scanned the assembled powerhouses and said coldly, "Nangong Wan, you speak for yourself!"

Nangong Wan broke out in a cold sweat, trembling as he said, "Fellow elders and colleagues, Fourth Brother's soul tablet is shattered; he's confirmed dead."

"Ah…"

"Fourth Brother is actually dead…"

"With Fourth Brother's strength and methods, who could have stopped him without a Super Douluo's intervention?"

A member of the elder faction, an Evil Douluo, stood up incredulously.

"Because there's a traitor within the Holy Sect!" Nangong Wan roared through gritted teeth.
