Chapter 30 - Chapter 30 The Beginning of the Contract

The air in Snape's office seemed to have been sucked out; the silence was oppressive.

Only the faint scent of magic potion lingered in the air.

Only then can people realize that this place is not nothingness.

Snape's deep black eyes were fixed on Moen, filled with longing, shock, struggle, and a hint of barely concealed hope.

His chest rose and fell slightly.

Seemingly trying to calm the intense turmoil within, the emotions that had been suppressed for many years seemed to erupt completely at this moment.

This made it impossible for him to maintain his previous calm and indifference; all his pretense...

Everything was utterly shattered before Moen's unimaginable power.

His slightly trembling hands clenched into fists, his nails digging deep into his palms, as if he wanted to use the pain to keep himself awake.

He had to calm himself down!

He needed to confirm whether the boy in front of him could really do all of this!

And what does he need to pay for this?

Moen calmly observed Snape, who was emotionally charged yet striving to remain composed.

There was no pity in his eyes, nor the slightest wavering.

It's a confidence born from having everything under control, and a powerful sense of control over the future.

He knew that all of Snape's emotions at this moment stemmed from his obsession with Lily.

What he had to do was use this obsession to draw Sneppull into the game he had set up.

He put away the slightly playful smile on his face, and his tone became calm and serious: "All you need to do is guide me on some knowledge about potions during your free time while I am studying at Hogwarts."

Moen's voice was clear and calm as he recounted something utterly ordinary.

But the conditions he proposed,

To Snape, however, it sounded like an unbelievable promise.

Snape's body trembled slightly.

He seemed unable to believe what Moen needed.

It's so simple!

He raised his head and asked again in a trembling voice, "That's all? The abilities you've shown are more than enough. You can take advantage of my weaknesses and demand more from me!"

His face was filled with disbelief; he couldn't believe it.

I never imagined that I would so easily be given the chance for "redemption".

Looking into Snape's questioning eyes, Moen knew that he had not completely let his guard down.

He also understood that simply demonstrating strength wouldn't be enough to gain Snape's complete trust.

He needs to give him a clearer promise before he can completely lower his guard.

"And I will help you, before graduation, to resurrect Mrs. Lily."

Moen repeated his previous promise, his voice clear and firm.

Every word seemed to possess the power to penetrate the soul, striking directly at the softest spot in Snape's heart.

"Before graduation... less than six years..."

Snape's eyes were filled with shock, and his voice was somewhat distorted.

He couldn't believe that all of this could actually happen.

He abruptly raised his head, looking at Moen with a questioning gaze.

But deep down, a glimmer of hope began to rise.

It seemed as if a faint light had suddenly appeared in that abyss of despair.

Everything about him will be revitalized by this light.

Moen looked at Snape's incredulous expression.

A slight upturn of the corners of his mouth

He revealed a meaningful smile.

He had anticipated Snape's reaction.

He knew that, in Snape's understanding,

The passage of time is irreversible.

The passing of life is something that cannot be changed.

The power he displayed was completely beyond Snape's comprehension.

He needed to use a more direct approach to break down Snape's heart, which was shrouded in despair.

"In your eyes, six years is a long time, seemingly impossible. But for me, six years is enough for me to master more, more powerful forces! If I still can't resurrect Lady Lily by then, I might as well just kill myself, as a way of atoning for my incompetence!"

Moen's tone was very calm, but his words were full of confidence, as if he were describing a future that was bound to happen.

He needed to make Snape understand

This is not a joke.

Everything he said will become a reality in the near future.

He possesses the power to change everything, and the determination to accomplish it all!

Snape's breathing became rapid as he scrutinized Mohn once more.

He couldn't see into Moen's heart, nor could he comprehend the power Moen possessed.

But one could clearly sense Moen's immense confidence; he seemed truly capable of doing everything he said he could.

At this moment, his heart was filled with longing, but also with unease.

He knew he had no other choice.

We must choose to believe!

We must seize this last opportunity!

He suppressed his inner excitement, and his eyes regained their usual calm. He asked again in a low voice, "Mr. White, if all of this is true, how can I trust you? Aren't you afraid that I will use the Imperius Curse to control you and make you my puppet?"

His words were still full of probing; he couldn't fully trust the boy before him, after all, the power Moen had displayed was beyond his comprehension.

When Mohn heard Snape's question,

He smiled slightly.

His eyes were filled with a sharp light.

He had anticipated that Snape would raise this question, and it was part of his plan!

He wanted to make Snape completely lower his guard and understand the power he possessed.

"I said I can see some of the future." His voice was calm yet confident, his tone filled with undeniable power.

He didn't answer Snape's question directly, but instead used his abilities...

This further hinted at his control over the future, causing Snape to feel a deep sense of powerlessness and inability to be defeated.

Snape's body trembled violently, his eyes filled with shock and horror.

He recalled the humiliation he had suffered under Voldemort, the feeling of being completely controlled, which filled him with deep fear.

He knew the power of the Soul-Stealing Curse, and he also knew its side effects.

If Moen truly has the ability to see the future,

He could completely foresee what he would do.

Since that's the case,

What can I use to threaten him?

Moen watched him calmly, knowing that Snape had completely fallen into the trap he had set.
