"I don't know, I don't know anything. Let me go, let me go!" Raymond shouted, appearing panicked, but Zhou Yi could clearly see the malice in his eyes.
This wasn't the expression of someone terrified to the extreme; it was more like a ruthless madman dragging someone down with him. It was clear that he still had some tricks up his sleeve.
But that didn't matter anymore. With a slight wave of his hand, Raymond was thrown far away. He threw him very high, so when he landed, both of his legs broke in two.
The blood-red muscles, yellow fat, and white bone fragments looked nauseating and disgusting. The gushing blood also splattered all over the road. The bleeding from his thighs was like a pump had been opened, and it wouldn't stop.
"Ah!" Raymond wailed, the intense pain making him unable to pretend to be a trembling quail anymore. He now looked more like a hyena with broken legs, howling and baring its teeth ferociously.
"I'll kill you, you bastard, you damn bastard. My legs, my legs!" The curses spewed from his mouth without end. The vicious words, combined with his blood-covered body crawling on the ground, truly made him no different from a devil.
But Zhou Yi just smiled and kindly reminded him.
"I advise you not to shout so loudly, really. There are already Zombies heading this way. If you don't want to be eaten, staying quiet is the best choice."
Hearing this, Raymond fearfully looked towards the entrance of the alley. Without the threat of the tracker, sporadic Zombies were already heading this way. Sound was what they were most sensitive to, and with the noise here, they would naturally be attracted.
"Save me, save me. Mr. Zhou, I have a secret to tell, I have a very important secret to tell. As long as you save me, I'll tell you everything. Really, I'll tell you everything!"
When Raymond saw the first Zombie, he scrambled towards Zhou Yi, disregarding his earlier curses and beginning to desperately plead.
Two long trails of blood extended from beneath him, and the dirty ground had rubbed his hands raw. This was a very painful thing, but Raymond showed no reaction. He just desperately wanted to escape, and desperately pleaded.
"Shh! Just be quiet, maybe these things can't see you." Zhou Yi made a shushing gesture, chuckled, and turned to leave. For him, this was just a suicidal ant, not worthy of his attention. Letting him die here was already the greatest kindness.
As for whether he could survive, it would depend on fate. However, Zhou Yi held the most pessimistic attitude towards this so-called fate.
"Don't go, come back. Come back, I have a secret to tell you, I really have a secret to tell you. Save me, don't go!" The cries behind him were heart-wrenching and miserable, but they didn't elicit a shred of sympathy from Zhou Yi. For someone like this, there was no need for such things as sympathy.
He walked directly to Jill, who was lying on the ground, and looked at her fading eyes and weak body, asking, "You silly woman, how did you get yourself into this shape?"
Jill's body was weak, a sign of life ebbing away. At the same time, her body was also becoming stronger, a manifestation of another kind of power. But neither mattered to her; someone who could ignore her own life naturally wouldn't care much about the sensations in her body. She just stared fixedly at Zhou Yi, spitting out her inner doubts from her bloodied mouth.
"Who exactly are you? That power, that ability to control flames, it's not something a human should possess."
Zhou Yi squatted down, wiping the blood from her mouth with a handkerchief, and responded in a low voice.
"You're in this state, why are you still concerned about these things? Wait a moment, I'll save you right away."
"I don't need your concern." Jill slapped his hand away forcefully, though her strength was like a mosquito's bite to Zhou Yi; he still let his hand drop in accordance with her force.
"You've been deceiving me all along, haven't you? Those monsters aren't your match at all. You were just putting on an act for me, weren't you? Everything was a lie, everything was deliberately placed in front of me. Who are you? Why are you deceiving me?"
Zhou Yi was rendered speechless by the questioning, and at this moment, a huge head snuggled into Zhou Yi's arms. The black panther, covered in wounds, was now like a big cat, nestled in Zhou Yi's arms and purring pitifully.
Gently scratching the big cat's chin, Zhou Yi thought for a moment and then said.
"There are some things I didn't tell you, but they have nothing to do with this place. Everything I put in front of you is real, not a single bit of it is false. I just want to save people, I have no other intentions."
Jill gasped violently, her chest heaving like a bellows, each rise and fall accompanied by an unpleasant noise. It was the sound of her body, and she was now like a discarded toy, all her parts broken and tattered, barely holding together.
"I don't believe you, I don't believe you. You must be lying to me, I can't believe you." Her voice was like a night owl's wail, a mournful lament of her resentment towards Zhou Yi. In what she believed was her final moment, she only wanted to desperately vent all her hatred, and Zhou Yi happened to be the one she hated most.
"You're about to die, can't you forget about such trivial matters?" Zhou Yi looked curiously at the stubborn woman, he didn't understand why she was still begrudging him at this point.
"I don't know, I just can't forgive myself, can't forgive myself for being a fool and being tricked by you, tricked until death!" At this point, tears welled up in Jill's eyes, mixing with blood, making her look strange and sorrowful.
In the final moments of her life, she remembered a guy who had deceived her, which was indeed not something to be happy about for her.
Her voice grew weaker, and she soon fell into a state of impending death. This was the final moment of her life, and she was not wrong. What she was wrong about was that she couldn't guess the final outcome.

Looking at the woman who had already fallen into a coma, Zhou Yi sighed. He couldn't let Jill die like this, nor could he let her turn into a Zombie and rise again. Therefore, he could only break his own principles.
Golden light flowed from him, enveloping Jill and the big cat like a veil. The light permeated them, making their entire bodies glow. Wounds were healing rapidly, and the bullets inside were being pushed out by growing muscles.
Blood began to flow rapidly, carrying golden specks throughout their bodies. Bones, muscles, and internal organs, everything was developing towards the healthiest state. Bringing the dead back to life, regrowing flesh on bones. This was what was happening.
The huge black panther stood up, full of spirit. Its body seemed even larger, and its fur became more lustrous and smooth. The wounds left by the Vulcan Cannon on its body were all gone. Except for a few traces of blood, not a single mark remained.
It was almost the same for Jill.
The injuries on her body were completely repaired, which wasn't unexpected for Zhou Yi. What did surprise him was that his ability had catalyzed the T-Virus, but it hadn't turned her into that type with extremely swollen muscles.
Her physique had grown slightly, and her muscles had become stronger. But she hadn't completely lost the natural, soft curves of a woman. Besides making her look slightly more full and athletic, there weren't any other major changes.
This should be considered a good thing, at least she wouldn't resent him for the rest of her life because of this. Zhou Yi thought for a moment and stopped releasing his ability. Jill was a special case. He couldn't use this ability on other infected people yet.
He patted the big cat, which was rubbing against him, and placed the still-unconscious Jill onto the cat's back. Things were almost over, and when Jill woke up, everything would be back under control. This was good, although he had sacrificed a lot for it, the overall result was still positive.
He tugged on the big cat's ear, signaling it to follow behind him. Zhou Yi strolled out of the alley. To his surprise, Raymond hadn't died yet. Though, in Zhou Yi's opinion, death might have been the better outcome.
Two Zombies were clinging to him, tearing and devouring his body with all their might. Starting from his broken thighs, they occasionally tore off large chunks of flesh from his chest and abdomen. The loss of blood and the trauma to his body had left him with almost no strength. The excruciating pain caused his body to involuntarily convulse, but he gritted his teeth, desperately suppressing any cries.
He didn't want to attract more Zombies, which was what puzzled Zhou Yi. For him, dying sooner would be more comfortable. Wouldn't watching himself get eaten bit by bit be agonizing?
And soon, he understood why.
Because the instant he saw Zhou Yi emerge, the man opened his blood-soaked mouth and, with his last ounce of strength, uttered his most vicious curse.
"You can't escape, you can't escape. Umbrella's final move will destroy everything here, I'll be waiting for you in hell, you can't escape. Heh heh…"
His laughter suddenly turned into rapid, broken gasps because a Zombie, having heard his shouts, instinctively bit through his throat. Blood flooded his trachea and esophagus, blocking all sound. And that was his final end.
The Zombie finally claimed his life, biting him to death, bit by bit.
Facing Raymond's final curse, Zhou Yi paused for a moment. Flames surged, engulfing his body, along with the two Zombies, reducing them to ashes. Gazing at the fire, he sighed and shook his head.
Sometimes, he didn't understand why a human's hatred could reach such a level. They would rather watch themselves being torn apart and devoured, just to hold onto their last breath and curse others.
Could there really be such immense hatred? Or was it that the human race was innately strengthened by hatred? He couldn't understand this question and probably never would.
