Chapter 42 - Chapter 42 - The Sovereign’s Farewell (Genshin Finale)

Location: The Ruins of Celestia, The Highest Peak

Current Form: Dragon Lord (Critical Mass)

Status: Overloaded

The battle was over. The Throne of the Primordial One had been dismantled, not by political maneuvering, but by sheer appetite. Raiden Ragnvaldr stood at the edge of Celestia, looking down at Teyvat one last time.

The Sustainer of Heavenly Principles was gone -digested into raw void energy.

The Root of the Abyss was consumed.

Raiden's skin cracked, revealing glowing veins of omni-elemental light. The world was trembling around him. The Teyvat server couldn't handle his file size anymore.

"You're vibrating," a calm, monotone voice spoke from the shadows.

Raiden turned to see Ronova, the Shade of Death. She didn't look like a typical god; she was a phantom of absolute stillness, wearing robes woven from the final moments of stars.

"The laws of Teyvat are screaming," Ronova said, floating closer. "You have eaten Life, Space, and now the Throne itself. If you stay, your gravity will pull the moon down."

"I know," Raiden sighed, rubbing his chest. "I'm suffering from success. And indigestion."

He looked past her. His "collection" - the women who had stood by him, fought him, or simply been swept up in his wake - had gathered to say goodbye.

The Seven Ties

Raiden walked over to them. The air shimmered with the heat of his aura.

1. Keqing (The Anchor)

The Yuheng of the Qixing stepped forward first. She looked professional, but her knuckles were white as she gripped her sword.

"So, you're really skipping town on the administrative work?" Keqing asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

"I leave Liyue to humans," Raiden smirked, flicking her forehead. "Don't overwork yourself. And eat a shrimp ball once in a while."

Keqing lowered her head, hiding her eyes. "Just... don't die in the next world, you idiot."

2. Furina (The Star)

Furina didn't try to be brave. She was crying, hugging a plushie of a hydro mimic.

"You can't leave! Who's going to critique my performances? Who's going to eat the macaroni I burn?"

Raiden patted her head. "You're free, Furina. No more acting. Live for yourself. And hey, I left a fragment of my power in the Opera House. If anyone bullies you, the building will eat them."

Furina sniffled, looking up. "Promise?"

"Promise."

3. Citlali (The Seer of Natlan)

The mysterious fortune teller from Natlan leaned against a broken pillar. She was tossing obsidian stones in her hand.

"I checked the stars," Citlali said, her voice raspy and amused. "They don't show your future anymore. You've walked off the map."

"Is that bad?"

"It's exciting," Citlali grinned, her eyes flashing with ancient wisdom. "Just remember, Grandmother Citlali is watching. Don't embarrass us out there in the cosmos."

4. Raiden Ei (The Warrior)

The Electro Archon stood stoically. She didn't say a word. She simply manifested the Musou no Hitotachi.

"One last clash?" Raiden asked.

"No," Ei sheathed the blade. "A promise. I will guard the Eternity you secured. Teyvat is safe. Go conquer your next battlefield."

She stepped close, rising on tiptoes to press a quick, electric kiss to his cheek. "Come back eventually. Or I will cut through the dimensions to find you."

5. Skirk (The Abyss Walker)

Skirk hovered in the air, arms crossed. She looked bored, but Raiden knew better.

"You finally surpassed the Master," Skirk noted. "You ate the concept of Authority. Not bad."

"Coming with me?"

"No. The Abyss here still needs a keeper," Skirk said. "But take this." She threw a badge made of deep-space alloy. "If you find other Abyssal creatures... tell them Skirk sent you. They'll know to run."

6. Nahida (The Wisdom - Adult Form)

Raiden looked at the Dendro Archon. Usually small, she had utilized the excess authority of Irminsul to weave a temporary avatar—a tall, graceful woman with flowing white-green hair, radiating maternal warmth and supreme wisdom.

"This form..." Raiden raised an eyebrow. "Suiting."

"I wanted to look you in the eye properly," Adult Nahida smiled, her voice melodic and mature. "You are leaving the nursery, Raiden. I have deleted the records of your 'crimes' from Irminsul. You leave here a hero, not a monster."

She hugged him, the scent of forests and dreams surrounding him. "May your dreams never be empty."

7. Ronova (The Shade of Death)

Finally, the Shade stood before him.

"I have no gifts," Ronova stated. "Only a truth. You are a Dragon Lord now. But where you are going, 'Lord' is insufficient."

She placed a cold hand on his chest.

"Die to this world, Raiden. And be born as a King in the next."

Raiden stepped away. He raised his hand, gripping the fabric of reality.

"System Command: World Transfer."

"Destination: High Energy Plane [DxD Universe]."

"Status: Dragon Lord."

"Warning: Transfer will induce forced evolution."

"Let's eat," Raiden grinned.

He tore the sky open. A rift of pure purple and black void appeared.

"Bye, ladies! Keep the bed warm!"

He jumped.

As soon as he crossed the threshold, the laws of physics shifted. Teyvat's elemental energy was replaced by the chaotic currents of the Dimensional Gap.

PAIN.

His Dragon Lord scales - the ones made of Geo and Electro - began to shatter. They weren't strong enough for the Dimensional Gap.

"Alert: Exterior shell failing."

"Initiating Metamorphosis."

"Absorbing Void Energy... Adapting..."

"Evolution to Heavenly Dragon in progress: 10%... 40%..."

He drifted through the kaleidoscope of colors, his body breaking down and rebuilding itself stronger, harder, hungrier.
