Some might consider what Visha was doing cruel, but in the world they live in, they need to defend themselves. They are now in a safe place, but what if they leave? What if something were to happen?
No one plans for things to go wrong. But choosing to become stronger is always a choice people need to make on their own. Even as children, they should understand the world they live in.
"If the cub is old enough to speak clearly, then they are old enough to make this choice," Visha stated.
Children often see things more clearly than adults. Even if they never voice it, they still have eyes and ears to see what is around them. And the things they see are what they emulate. So Visha wants to give them the chance.
The mother, still tangled, struggled. Visha wrapped the light whip around her mouth to stop her from speaking. She scanned the cubs until she found one that was staring up at the woman.
