Saphen dipped his soft brush into a bit of white paint, adding a faint touch of soul to the painting before him.
It was already their second year of university. Time seemed to be fast-forwarded, and in the blink of an eye it was almost time for Cain to meet the true love of his life. He would bury the feelings he had carried with him since eleventh grade, head abroad to struggle on his own, and search for the true meaning of this life.
But there was one small problem…
A sudden sound rang out, and Saphen immediately slipped back into his focused state.
He turned his head and saw a classmate waving at him, smiling as they said, "I'm going to eat, Saphen. You should go eat too."
Saphen gave a light nod, saying nothing.
The other person could not help lowering their gaze, a little embarrassed, before walking away.
