Carabella struggled to control her gasping breath upon hearing her friend's harsh words. She nearly lost consciousness as her anxiety returned to haunt her. Unable to support her legs, she accidentally slipped and fell into the pool. The pool at home was quite deep, making it difficult for her to balance. She continued to swing her arms and legs, but she still had difficulty breathing steadily. All she could do was scream for help.
As Jefferson tried to save his beloved girl from drowning, he was immediately blocked by Larissa, who pretended to be nearly unconscious in front of him. He now knew Larissa was deliberately acting in front of him so that he couldn't save a lowly girl who was about to drown. His right hand clenched tightly, once again acting like a coward. All he could do was hold Larissa's very limp hand.
"Jefferson, can you carry me now?"
"But-"
Larissa grabbed her friend's shoulder, trembling. "Suddenly, I almost fainted too. I couldn't stand it anymore."
