Eraba ran in front of him as soldiers surrounded them, shooting bullets and bullets and bullets, trying to rip them apart.
Eraba waved her hands as her papers from before sliced through the bullets, even with them being enhanced by mana, they ripped apart the attacks from the soldiers as the papers seemed to take a life of their own heading for the soldiers and mutilating them man by man.
"Matsumi! Use your attacks with mine! Let's go for an attack together!"
"Alright!"
He dashed slightly in front of Eraba, throwing the ping-pong ball as hard as he could in that moment. The ball crashed against one of the soldiers before suddenly exploding with a surge of orange colors.
"It explodes!"
"Alright!"
Together, mixing their powers together, her papers wrapped around the ping-pong ball's cutting and exploding into the soldiers faces as they shot back, only to be bombarded by the two. The enemy was swarmed as they all started to retreat, running away from Matsumi and his gang.
"Hahaha!"
He kept summoning small explosives in a dance of joy against all the soldiers.A red aura started to flush out the explosives and papers, as they flew away.
A man walked toward the two, his armor clanking against his skin and his clothing underneath, as the area seemed to quiet down almost immediately. He walked forward step by step as the chaos cleared.
A man standing at about six foot five stood before them with an unamused look. He brushed his arm off briefly before his aura grew once more. Red just like Mammon's.
"For what it's worth you managed to rip apart some of my army…To that I give you credit…but the game is over. Once I get rid of you i'll locate the tomb and then, the mortal realm will be ours."
Matsumi had to look up at the man because of his stature. Briefly glancing at his explosives being thrown away by some form of magic. Normally, he wouldn't be able to tell who this person was but the similarities were apparent.
m"Another one? I thought you were all gonna wait until we reached you. Guess we're pretty famous!"
"I highly doubt it. You're nothing more than a nuisance. Something in the way of our goal. Once we crush you we'll get mother back…and after that whatever else we want."
"A nuisance?! Oh, you're gonna get it now!"
"Bring it then bitch. Show me what you two are capable of."
Matsumi summoned small ball explosives in between his fingers as he moved toward Invidia. Swiping at the air to throw them directly at his opponents, emptying out a handful of explosives before jumping into the air and throwing another batch.
Soldiers jumped in the way of Invidia as they blocked off the explosives sending them to the sides. He moved around, sending another projectile inbetween Eraba and Matsumi, a blue flame that burned hotter and hotter as it got closer. The soldiers got in formation, firing off shot after shot at the two as Eraba used her hands and created a sphere of Mana to block off the bullets.
"Matsumi! I need you to take care of that flame! Come on!"
Eraba pushed the bullets back using her mana force, sending them back toward the soldiers as some were impaled, while other bullets hit the trees and such ripping the bark and wood apart.
"How?! I can't block that like you can! Just move!"
He popped out his roller skates to grab Eraba's shoulders as they just barely dodged the large flame with quick thinking.
"Hmph. Don't tell me such a silly spell like that is enough to take you out."
Invidia ended up landing near by them, aiming his hands at the both of them, shooting another one, this time Eraba moved herself, but as it headed for the trees behind him the blue flames spread and spread, not losing any heat from befor.
"There's nothing silly about that!"
As Matsumi recovered from the evasion, his readied skates allowed him to keep his momentum. The attack came too close to Matsumi either way, forcing him to flash step right above, the heat still reaching his face.
Invidia was in the air with him, and in front of him at that.
He delivered a kick right to matsumi's face before using Matsumi's chest to flash step down to the ground, using Matsumi's ow. technique. He searched around for Eraba as she dashed around, her papers flying everywhere as he watched her movements carefully.
He knew somewhere in the area, the other three were around somewhere ready to attack him if need be, however prior to his exact arrival, he directed all of his troops from the area over towards them.
Even with Kurai's power, it would be incredibly difficult to simply come to where the two were.
This allowed Invidia to dissect them piece by piece until the others were either dead, or so tired he could finish them off in one swoop.
All he needed to do was eliminate Matsumi and Eraba before they have a chance to counter attack or eliminate him.
Matsumi's eyes were wide as he saw the kick approach. Surprisingly enough, he felt like he could follow the attack, but his body didn't think so.
He braced before a sudden crack came from the impact. He held his nose, something had broken, blood started to pour out from one nostril as he held his face in pain.
The papers cut Invidia's arms as he blocked against them, he knew Matsumi was out of commission, at least for a few seconds. He charged through the razors, his blood flying everywhere before Eraba found herself in the same position as Matsumi. Eraba flew into a tree nearby, her body flying through and splitting the tree causing it to fall, cutting off the pathway they were headed on prior.*
"What a Joke."
Matsumi reached the floor pretty hard. Quickly turning his body as he got on one knee, his blood dripping on the floor. He held his hand close to his nose, not touching it yet. He called out to Trops as the special healing from before would start its work again.
It would take some time however, as this injury was a little more serious. He stood up fully, wiping his nose.
"What's a joke?"
"You. You still have some left in you…No big deal. I'll bring you back down to size."
Invidia walked toward Matsumi. Step by step his mana expanded, the red aura bursted into a flame like one.
"Your climb in this tower ends here."
"You think you got me beat already..? I haven't even gotten to the good part yet!"
He summoned the same bat from before as well as tapping the lightning cloak into action.
"It's way too soon."
