Chapter 196 - Chapter 196: Use Judah to Smash Grandpa's Head Properly

For Aaron, who hadn't made a move until now, Wendy's attacks, although not as weak as scratching an itch, actually weren't much better.

The cutting ability of Ideal Fluid was powerful, but for Wendy, using Ideal Fluid to cut enemies seemed to be a very difficult task.

Actually, Aaron understood this quite well. After all, even in university, he hadn't figured out exactly what use Ideal Fluid had.

Expecting a middle schooler who graduated early from military school to understand what Ideal Fluid was and how to use it was indeed demanding too much.

And for a Herrscher of Wind who only knew how to blow wind and couldn't even use her authority to change light refraction to achieve invisibility... Aaron really couldn't muster even a shred of fighting spirit.

It wasn't that the opponent was too weak, but mainly that Wendy gave Aaron the feeling of a kid starting to make trouble after being bullied.

She might pose a slight threat to Aaron, but more than that, she made Aaron feel... this silly kid was like a husky baring its teeth.

Sigh, the intensity of the Honkai energy provided by the Herrscher Core is still constantly rising.

When will it rise to the peak? I can't wait to use the Whale-Slaying Tyrant Fist to solve the problem.

Clearly, her attacks had worked.

Clearly, the enemy had been hit by her attacks and started bleeding.

But looking at the man bathed in the fierce wind, Wendy felt that the other party didn't look like he had been hit by her attacks...

No, with that look of enjoyment, are you really having your flesh cut by the wind?

Why do I feel like this guy is soaking in a hot spring, just short of saying 'so comfortable' to provoke me???

No, silence speaks louder than words at this moment. Him not saying a word is even more insulting to me, okay!

Clearly, the attacks had hit the enemy, but the attitude Aaron displayed now made Wendy's rage gauge jump up a large chunk again.

Clearly I have obtained this power!

Clearly you should fear me now!

This attitude... what is with this attitude (╯‵□′)╯︵┻━┻

I am a God's Apostle!

You should be groveling at my feet!

"Damn it! I'll kill you!"

At this moment, the completely irrational Wendy condensed Honkai energy on her hands, forming two giant wind blades.

Although these wind blades were essentially no different from the ones she used to sneak attack Aaron before, the problem was—the intensity of the Honkai energy she used this time had reached the limit!

It was fifty percent stronger than the 2000 HW intensity Honkai energy she had when she first awakened!

"Ah, 3000 HW intensity... shouldn't get any stronger."

"Sigh, finally I can get a little bit serious."

Sensing the powerful energy coming from Wendy, Aaron, amidst the fierce wind, suddenly clasped his palms together. Mobilizing the power of Magnetic Field Rotation, he completed a martial art he comprehended from the *Royal Ultimate Book* but had never used once.

Magnetic Field Rotation: 300,000 Horsepower—

"Royal Ultimate Indestructible Body!"

Royal Ultimate Indestructible Body. This was a defensive martial art Oga used when dueling Hell in the *Sea Tiger II* era.

Okay, calling it a martial art, it was essentially just a small trick to increase physical defense using the power circulation path provided in the *Royal Ultimate Book*.

It was just that this small trick, as long as there was sufficiently tyrannical power to support it, would naturally become an invincible barrier.

Like now. After Aaron combined his magnetic field power, which was stronger than ordinary Magnetic Field Rotation: 300,000 Horsepower, and activated this martial art move, he easily blocked Wendy's strike.

Wendy, who already had the intent to kill Aaron, thought the opponent would be heavily injured by her after she unleashed her most destructive move.

However, the cruel reality told her—no such thing. She overthought it.

After her palms blasted onto the opponent's body, Wendy's only feeling was...

Couldn't blast in.

Couldn't blast in at all.

Even though she used her highest intensity strike, combined with the cutting characteristics of the wind blades, she still couldn't harm the opponent in the slightest.

And what was more insulting was that after hitting the opponent, Wendy even pushed her palms with all her might, trying to advance even a fraction.

But no matter what she did, her killing move just couldn't harm the opponent at all.

Moreover... could a move that couldn't cause any harm to the enemy really be considered a killing move?

Kiana, watching from nearby, saw Wendy trying desperately to push her palms but failing to get any positive feedback, and really felt this scene was bizarre no matter how she looked at it.

If ignoring the expressions on their faces right now, she even felt this was a little girl acting spoiled towards a strong big brother.

No, this is a battle between a human and a Herrscher, right?

Can you two be a little more serious???

"Ah, ah, this should be your strongest strike, right."

Forcefully grabbing Wendy's palms, Aaron forcibly pulled the opponent's palms away from his front.

"Not bad attack. It indeed posed a certain degree of threat to me. If I hadn't been a bit serious, maybe I would have been slapped to death by you on the spot."

"You... you bully!"

Wendy, with her hands grabbed by Aaron, coupled with the wings of wind she created behind her back using authority, looked exactly like a little chick being lifted in midair.

Even if someone told a passerby passing nearby right now—hey, this girl is a world-destroying Herrscher—probably no one would believe this truth.

Wendy, who missed a strike and got hung up by the opponent instead, had a face full of grievance at this moment.

No matter how cruel Wendy's Herrscher personality was, fundamentally, this personality was just a derivative of Wendy's main personality.

After exhausting all her strength, her attack couldn't even make the opponent bleed...

"I'm not fighting! I'm not fighting anymore! You bully!"

"Ah, you don't think acting spoiled will make me soft-hearted, do you?"

At this moment, Aaron, holding Wendy, exerted a little force and smashed Wendy ruthlessly from midair toward the ground.

As the dust gradually settled, Kiana saw a large crater appear on the ground.

Inside the large crater, Wendy, who was just full of grievance, had suffered considerable injuries.

And Kiana could now be certain that Aaron really wasn't fighting seriously.

When Aaron fought seriously, the Meta-Morph Factor would be activated, and then he would combine his messy energies to blast the enemy.

If he were risking his life, Aaron would use that explosive ability to further increase his physical speed.

But the current Aaron... hadn't played a single trump card.

To outsiders, Aaron's actions right now could be considered going for the kill.

But in Kiana's eyes, Aaron right now... felt like he was playing.

Wow, too cruel.

Facing a Herrscher personality, is it really necessary to go this far?

For some reason, seeing Wendy trembling as she floated up from the ground, Kiana suddenly shivered.

Mn, Aaron and I shouldn't fight... then why am I feeling a little... fear right now?

Too strange.

Wendy, heavily injured by Aaron in one blow, still had a chaotic mind at this moment.

After completely becoming a Herrscher, all Herrschers would possess an ability called [Imaginary Barrier].

It was just that each Herrscher's Imaginary Barrier might differ in details due to their respective authorities.

But no matter what, as a defensive barrier that activated automatically, the Imaginary Barrier should theoretically be able to defend against most attacks automatically.

However, in that attack just now, Wendy's Imaginary Barrier failed to stop the opponent's attack at all.

This barrier did reduce the damage Wendy received to a certain extent, but...

The opponent looked like he just struck casually!

With a casual strike smashing her protective barrier on the spot, how could she win against such an enemy???

Can't win.

This kind of enemy, absolutely can't win.

As the Herrscher of Wind, the [God's Apostle], after officially exchanging one move, her heart was dominated by fear.

Looking at the slowly descending enemy, Wendy could no longer continue fighting.

The opponent was an invincible enemy, so the last choice she could make...

Wasn't it just to run away?!

Run!

Must run!

No matter what, I am the Herrscher of Wind.

As long as I open up the distance now, I still have a chance to escape from this guy's hands!

"Ah, want to run? If I let you run away just like that, I'll have a huge headache."

Taking out the Gatack Zecter and Rider Bracelet he had seized, Aaron indifferently attached the Zecter to the bracelet.

"Henshin. Clock Up."

[Henshin! Change Beetle!]

[Clock Up!]

In an instant, Aaron, entering the world of Clock Up, moved in front of Wendy at a thousand times his usual speed.

Subsequently, when he canceled this ability, Wendy, who just wanted to flee, discovered that the man who was originally some distance away from her had already arrived in front of her.

Aaron slowly extended his right hand, and Wendy at this moment couldn't even make any effective resistance due to excessive fear.

The girl Herrscher was slowly lifted from the ground by the enemy, and then...

—Smashed heavily into the ground again.

Watching Aaron repeat this action like a machine, Kiana closed her eyes and turned her head away unbearably.

Wow, too bloody.

Is it really necessary to go this far?

Under Aaron's attacks, the Herrscher of Wind became even more terrified of the man before her.

Supposed to fight to the death, the moment she gathered her strength, the prelude to her attack was interrupted by the opponent using stronger power.

One strike.

Ten strikes.

Ninety-nine strikes.

When Aaron blasted the opponent into the ground for the hundredth time, he could feel that the consciousness of the girl before him had completely entered a deep sleep.

Unlike the arrogant Herrscher of Thunder, Aaron could feel that this Herrscher consciousness didn't feel 'unconvinced' before slumbering.

Aaron didn't inflict powerful attacks sufficient to knock Wendy completely unconscious this time.

And this time, entering a comatose state was actually the Herrscher of Wind's own choice.

Simply put, before Aaron even exerted force, the Herrscher of Wind chickened out herself.

"Mn, no matter what, if the result is good, it's OK."

No, no, no, can this result really be considered good?

Looking at the bloody and fleshy Wendy, Kiana suddenly suspected whether Aaron really intended to kill the other party.

No matter how you looked at it, this wretched state was too miserable!

She's still a child; how could Aaron do it?

After pulling the girl out of the ground, Aaron looked at the girl in front of him and just felt that he was really becoming more and more brutal.

Previously, although the Herrscher of Thunder lost, she wasn't bullied by him with such means.

But now, his actions just now... Um, looking back now, did I really need to be this ruthless?

Could it be that the violent emotions in my subconscious made me inadvertently commit these terrible acts?

Hiss, can't be... Is the influence of the Power of Dominance on me already this severe?

Or...

No, impossible.

If this is my true nature, isn't that even worse???

After brushing the dust off the girl's body with magnetic field power, Aaron immediately began using healing magecraft to heal the girl's body.

After obtaining the basic magecraft of the Type-Moon World, the magecraft Aaron used most was healing magecraft.

Now, he could feel his proficiency in healing magecraft getting higher and higher.

It was just that healing magecraft could only heal physical injuries after all.

As for psychological injuries...

That would depend on Wendy's own fortune.

Recalling his actions just now, Aaron highly suspected that the psychological shadow he caused Wendy might have implicitly surpassed Otto who ruined her life.

"I say... is it really necessary to go this far?"

Looking at Wendy whose injuries were gradually healing, Kiana walked out helplessly from the cover, looking at Aaron with lingering fear.

"If it's just to suppress the Herrscher personality..."

"Whether it's necessary or not, I don't know. Anyway, there's no harm in being careful with things like Herrscher personalities."

Looking at the girl in his arms, Aaron spoke indifferently to Kiana.

"Wendy is indeed pitiful, true. But a Herrscher's awakening, if one is even slightly careless, will bring a large-scale disaster first."

"And if the Herrscher personality suppresses the Herrscher's normal personality during the awakening, then with the Herrscher's destructive power, it will only cause greater casualties."

"Rumor has it that the Herrscher of Fire of the Previous Era burned down the Australian continent of the Previous Era in a week. Although the Herrscher of Wind is far inferior to the Herrscher of Fire in destructive power, if she goes crazy, casually killing tens of millions of people in a densely populated area is not a difficult task at all."

Giving Kiana a deep look, Aaron continued.

"The Herrscher host is undoubtedly innocent. But compared to putting tens of millions of people in danger, I'd rather be a bit ruthless when dealing with Herrschers."

"That's what you say... Forget it, let's not get into such a serious topic."

Kiana, realizing Aaron didn't intend to continue discussing this topic, immediately ended the discussion stiffly.

"So, the plan counts as a success?"

"That remains to be seen. If Wendy's mentality is normal later, it means the Herrscher of Wind has been beaten into fear."

"The Gem of Desire, which was originally unstable in her body, has now gradually stabilized after she awakened as a Herrscher. I didn't attack her from the start just now, also to help her stabilize the core in her body using this method."

"If she can walk normally or even use the Herrscher's power in the coming time, it means my plan has no problems. And at this step, the plan can move to the next stage."

"Next stage?"

Tossing Wendy into Kiana's arms, a look appeared on Aaron's face that Kiana found hard to ignore.

"Ah. If this method can make the Herrscher personality dare not act rashly, then next, we just need to find Herrscher candidates, force them to become Herrschers, and finally beat them up like Wendy."

"If they want to cause trouble, no problem. If they want to cause trouble, beat them. As long as we keep beating them, sooner or later they will be beaten until they dare not act rashly."

"No, no, no, if Herrschers were really that easy to find, Schicksal would have made a move on them long ago—and no matter how I look at this, I feel like you just got lucky like a blind cat meeting a dead mouse!"

At this moment, Kiana finally understood what that look on Aaron's face just now was.

This man was excited.

Excited because he could beat up others... No, isn't Aaron's mentality getting more and more wrong!

"No. At least currently, there should be... two people I can be sure will become Herrschers in the future."

"They undoubtedly have that aptitude. It's just that right now, they haven't experienced those tragic encounters yet."

Chen Tianwu (Owl), Ana Schariac. These two undoubtedly were also people with aptitude.

Currently, they hadn't experienced the Manila Honkai event of 2015, so currently they shouldn't be able to condense Herrscher Cores either...

Hah, how much difference is there between my approach and what Cocolia did?

Knowing clearly that those two were about to encounter a calamity, yet for my own purpose, I actually chose to watch those two be persecuted by the Honkai just like that... Heh, fortunately I didn't go to Anti-Entropy HQ this time.

If I met Cocolia at Anti-Entropy, righteously reprimanded her, and then did similar dirty work myself, that would be too ironic.

Even just now, a thought like [inject both the cores of Fire and Death into suitable hosts, guide the awakening of these two Herrschers, and then tame them] floated in my head.

I thought I would be more pure and kind.

Turns out I'm no different from Otto, Cocolia, or Kevin.

When it comes down to it, I will only choose the path I deem suitable.

And when moving forward, I will inevitably choose actions that hurt others to continue moving forward.

"Aaron?"

Seeing a flash of loss on Aaron's face, Kiana immediately said to Aaron.

"You are indeed too tired. Don't think so much for now, go back and rest well."

"Ah... let's go back first."

Giving Kiana and Wendy a deep look, Aaron didn't say more.

If the plan had no errors, Wendy would become a human who could use Herrscher power in the future.

And after the gem completed condensation in her body, once Sirin's consciousness awakened, she would absolutely try to seize the two gems in Wendy and Mei's bodies.

After all, for Sirin who once held six gems, those two gems were both her other halves in her eyes.

And Sirin was different from other Herrscher personalities.

If other Herrscher personalities were more or less easier to deal with, then Sirin, who was filled with hatred for Schicksal and humanity, had no possibility of compromise or reconciliation with humanity.

And having died once, even facing absolute power, she wouldn't want to retreat a single step.

Once she awakened, she would absolutely want to turn this world upside down.

Precisely because of this, the Herrscher personality in Kiana's body couldn't be suppressed roughly by other means.

And because the two of them were actually one entity, if not careful when dealing with it, it was possible to harm Kiana herself.

Headache.

Although Kiana's current strength was inferior to his, in terms of potential, her potential was not below his.

And now she happened to be so motivated... If she peacefully stayed a paramecium, things might not be this tricky.

Now he just couldn't let her slack off.

To tell the truth, her consciousness might also be interfered with by the long-dormant Sirin.

If he acted now, he didn't know what the result would be.

But if he continued to drag it out, the result wouldn't necessarily get better.

Escaping couldn't solve the problem.

But forceful actions might make things worse.

What to do.

Now, exactly what should I do to solve this biggest trouble.

..................................

Far East Branch. St. Freya Academy.

Inside St. Freya, Murata Himeko took the resignation report handed to her by a colleague and came to Theresa's Branch Director office.

"Theresa, are you there?"

"Ah? Is it Himeko? Wait!"

Accompanied by a noisy commotion sounding like chickens flying and dogs jumping from inside the room, Himeko shook her head helplessly.

Although Theresa's desk would definitely look fine when she walked in later, the problem was they were old friends for many years, and both knew very well what bad habits the other had.

Theresa, as the Branch Director, not processing documents but squatting in the office reading Homu manga every day was known by anyone who had hung around the branch for a while.

She didn't know what Theresa was hiding, acting as if hiding the manga would make everyone think she was working seriously.

"Himeko, is there something important?"

"Here, someone asked me to pass this to you."

Placing the resignation report on Theresa's desk, Himeko said grumpily.

"You haven't appeared in the academy these past few days. People waited and waited, and finally had no choice but to ask me to hand this resignation report to you."

"I say, even if you pretend, do it properly—walk around the academy more often, hey!"

"Sigh, isn't it just a few days of not going over... let me see who's preparing to run away."

After opening the report, Theresa saw a name.

Joachim—oh, it's that male history teacher's name.

The reason for resignation was... a friend in his hometown seemed to have an urgent matter needing his help, so he couldn't stay here to wait for the handover and left early...

Wow, he actually said to apologize, he doesn't want this month's salary and subsequent compensation.

Mn, mn, this way the branch can save quite a bit of funding again. Teacher Joachim is truly too sensible.

"But Himeko, you came just in time. Recently, our branch also received an important mission from HQ."

After pulling out a mission document from the drawer, Theresa handed this mission document to Himeko.

"This order came down today—Grandpa told me that The Deep (Haiyuan City) on Anti-Entropy's side is suspected to be the ruins of the Mu Continent from the Previous Era and might hide some mysterious technology. So he asked me to take a few elites over, conquer The Deep, and explore it properly."

"Mn, Lord Overseer's direct order... Do you feel that the number of times Lord Overseer directly ordered you this year is more than the previous two years?"

"This... a Herrscher awakened this year, isn't it normal to be a bit tired."

And that young man named Aaron indeed stirred up a turmoil before joining our Schicksal.

"Hah, if you think so, I won't say much. So what about this mission?"

After reading the mission document, Himeko found this mission was actually very simple.

Because the coordinates of The Deep were relatively secret, Schicksal could only dispatch a very small number of elites into the battlefield.

The fewer the people, the lower the probability of alerting the enemy. So the executors of this mission were actually fixed from the beginning: the number absolutely couldn't be too many, and everyone had to be very capable of fighting.

"HQ will dispatch Rita and Durandal of the Immortal Blades. And from the Far East Branch, I will also rendezvous with them and act together. Of course, Grandpa asked me to bring one more person just in case—I feel you might be more suitable."

"Forget it. Although my strength is indeed among the best in A-rank, with this body of mine... Heh, just not dragging you down would be thanking heaven and earth."

"No, obviously we aren't counting on you for fighting this time. Bringing you is mainly considering your academic qualifications."

Placing her hands folded on the desk, Theresa said very seriously.

"Although the intelligence circulating this time was exposed from the internet, it indeed has some basis. So we need a Valkyrie with high academic qualifications and who has been in contact with relevant research to act with us."

"You joined Schicksal back then to investigate matters related to your father. And your father, Murata Ryusuke, as a genius researcher, once repaired the 4th Divine Key left by the Previous Civilization."

"I don't know how much of his research materials you've seen, but compared to the three of us who are completely in the dark, you are obviously much more reliable in this aspect."

Mn, these reasons are quite reasonable, but...

Hearing Theresa's rhetoric, Himeko stared at Theresa suspiciously for several seconds.

Subsequently, she reached a conclusion very decisively.

This clear logic and reasonable rhetoric definitely weren't thought up by Theresa herself.

With her brain that was usually unreliable and only occasionally functioned normally at critical moments, could she analyze the details before the trip so thoroughly before going on a mission?

Impossible, absolutely impossible.

"I feel like you are thinking some very rude things."

Theresa, frowning, continued to speak to Himeko.

"I talked to Grandpa. He said if you can complete the mission normally this time, he will actively open some database permissions."

"The answers you want to find should be inside Schicksal's database. Of course, I also told Grandpa about your limited time. He said he can use the HSN serum formula left by Dr. Magi to help you mix a serum sufficient to alleviate the side effects of the artificial stigmata."

"You can choose one of these two mission rewards—this is something I fought hard to get for you, don't tell me you can't go this time!"

Sigh, Theresa really cares about me.

Old friend, really thank you this time.

Whether it's the method to let me know the truth or the serum to extend my life, both are indeed very precious rewards to me.

And the probability of Overseer Otto helping me because of his granddaughter's plea... really can't be said to be zero.

No, this probability is even quite high.

Although Theresa and Overseer Otto are family, there was friction between them because of the former S-rank Valkyrie Cecilia Schariac.

If Theresa actively begged the Overseer this time, it makes sense for the Overseer to want to use this opportunity to repair the relationship between him and Theresa.

All reasons make sense, then...

—I can't refuse the opportunity Theresa fought hard to get for me just because of inner uneasiness.

"Of course I'll go with you—what about the time?"

"Wait for notification from Grandpa's side."

Jumping down from the chair, a look of doubt suddenly appeared on Theresa's face.

"It's just that I don't quite understand. Why doesn't Grandpa contact the people from the Oceania Branch to participate in this mission?"

"No, even if we don't actively invite them to participate in the mission, asking them to lend us the Key of the Void to teleport us to the designated coordinates would save us a lot of trouble."

Oceania Branch... Mn, the branch where that young man named Aaron is now?

According to intelligence circulating within Schicksal, Kiana, the descendant of the Kaslana clan, currently controlled the usage rights of the Key of the Void [Cosmic Juggernaut]. After knowing the coordinates of the corresponding location, she could move designated targets to the coordinates through the Key of the Void's authority.

If there were no problems with this intelligence, inviting them to join this mission would indeed save a lot of effort.

But Overseer Otto is so smart; he couldn't possibly not think of this.

Combined with their group's recent 'demonstration' to other branches, Lord Overseer and those young people from the Oceania Branch are indeed not of one mind.

Although both sides are currently in a cooperative state, they seem to be just allies now.

The Oceania Branch didn't trust that our other Schicksal branch members wouldn't do irrational things, so they displayed their power recently, directly staging a demonstration.

And Overseer Otto also didn't trust them, so after discovering the possibility of obtaining new technological intelligence, he didn't intend to let that group contact the relevant intelligence of The Deep too much.

Hah, clearly one organization, but making it look like an internal split.

Truly troublesome, and what's more troublesome is that this is just the beginning.

If I remember correctly, Anti-Entropy split off from the Schicksal North American Branch back then...

What exactly is Lord Overseer thinking? Repeating the same mistake at a time like this won't do anyone in the organization any good, right?

Sometimes I really don't understand. Such a smart person, why does he always pull some flashy operations that even I can see have big problems at a glance.

"Then, I'll go back to prepare first."

"Mn—don't let me know you went to the bar to binge drink tonight!"

"I won't, I still know priorities."

Watching Himeko leave, Theresa fell into silence at this moment.

Last time Cocolia and Einstein found her in the underground cathedral, they told Theresa the truth about the Siren Project.

Einstein didn't say much after telling the intelligence, but Theresa wasn't a real fool.

Even thinking with her toes, she could guess the other party wanted to disturb her mind, making her distrust of Otto increase a few degrees.

So before this operation, Theresa had thought about whether to refuse this mission.

However, considering the situation on Anti-Entropy's side, Theresa finally made a choice.

Back then she chose to stay in Schicksal to protect Kiana, and now inside Schicksal, there was not only the real Kiana who hadn't appeared, but also the juniors and subordinates she cultivated single-handedly.

She was the matriarch of the Apocalypse clan and also the person in charge of the Far East Branch.

No longer just [Theresa Apocalypse], she had to be responsible not only to her own heart but also to the people around her.

Although Siegfried joining hands with the people from Anti-Entropy was enough to show they probably weren't villains, but...

Sigh, at a time like this, I can't just say 'Grandpa killed Cecilia back then, so this old lady quits' and defect on the spot.

If nothing else, Himeko is still waiting for Grandpa's HSN serum to save her life.

So now, sorry, Dr. Einstein.

Although I'm very grateful you told me the so-called truth, I still have my stance after all.

This time... hope we can suppress The Deep with minimal commotion.

As for what plans and ideas Grandpa has... that's none of my business.

And that experimental subject from back then... which is the current Kiana, seems to not know her true identity yet.

I don't know what exactly Siegfried told her back then.

Subject of the Siren Project... if the Herrscher of the Void really resurrects again, there will be big trouble.

What exactly is Grandpa doing.

Wasn't Cecilia's tragic encounter back then enough to make him wake up from those crazy ideas...

Thinking about it this way, after he gets the technology of The Deep this time, will he use this technology to do evil again?

Ah, headache.

Really want to use Judah to smash Grandpa's head properly, so he can save people some worry.

At the same time. Schicksal HQ.

"Mn, this new mission isn't fighting Honkai Beasts."

Putting down the mission document in her hand, Durandal asked Rita beside her.

"Combat missions seem to have decreased a lot recently. Is this my illusion?"

"It is not, Lord Durandal."

"Originally, those tricky combat missions that branches couldn't solve would have some of the most troublesome ones transferred to us, the Immortal Blades, after HQ approval."

"It's just that recently, after Miss Kiana and the others joined Schicksal, they immediately took action to help colleagues in other branches solve many tricky missions."

"Precisely for this reason, everyone has had much less work on hand recently."

"...Because of her and Aaron?"

Hearing Kiana's name, Durandal sighed with complex emotions.

After she met Kiana last time, the other party's attitude gave Durandal a feeling of 'strangers keep away'.

And Aaron had no obvious interest in Durandal's attempts to talk.

"Lord Durandal, actually you don't need to feel so complicated."

Seeing through her companion's inner thoughts at a glance, Rita said with a light smile.

"There is plenty of time in the future; everyone is a colleague in the same organization. The time for cooperation and contact will only increase. You don't need to be so distressed just because you didn't get to talk to Mr. Aaron."

"Who's distressed! I was just thinking... thinking about why this mission chose us to move out."

Recalling what happened when she first met Aaron, Durandal immediately added.

"Do you remember? When we first encountered Aaron in Nagazora City, he used a special method to conceal his figure."

"He is obviously more suitable for this mission. Why didn't Lord Overseer ask him to participate?"
