Surprisingly I felt warmer than I normally do in the morning and I could feel the sun's rays on my face. I never felt the sun when I woke up in the morning. I peeled my eyes open slowly and then I noticed three things. One I had something wrapped over my waist that was weighing down on me. Two, I wasn't in my room and the third thing, I could feel someone's hot breath on my neck. I craned my neck backwards and saw a sleeping Bernard behind me. I took a few seconds to simply sit and admire his face. He looked so peaceful and at ease and in this moment, it felt almost criminal to wake him up.


Then my mind took me to yesterday, it had been something written straight out of a romance book. I felt so free and at ease. I was floating on cloud nine. At first, I thought that we were going to go to a restaurant but Bernard had other plans. There was a small secluded cabin deep into the forest which he owned.
