Meeting Room…
A young, handsome man with sharp eyes entered and took a seat, quietly observing the room.
Secretary Lin Shan: "Please wait here. Mr. Hua will arrive in a few minutes."
The man nodded and waited. Moments later, the door opened and Jawlong Hua stepped in.
Jawlong Hua: "Deng Min Chi, shall we begin the interview?"
Deng Min Chi: "Yes, let's start."
He sneezed lightly.
"Sorry about that."
The interview continued smoothly, and Deng Min Chi passed with ease. Just then, Jawlong Hua's phone rang. He answered.
Jawlong Hua: "Hello? Who's speaking?"
Officer Liu Xiatian: "Mr. Hua, it's Officer Liu."
Jawlong Hua: "Yes, Miss Liu. Any update on the accident?"
Officer Liu Xiatian: "Yes. Our investigation shows it was not a simple accident. Someone planned it. We're continuing the investigation and will inform you as soon as we have more."
Jawlong Hua: "I understand. Please continue looking into it. Thank you."
He hung up, his expression darkening with worry.
Yu Chan Mansion
Yu Chan walked in, lively as always.
Mr. Yan Chan, her elder brother, was sitting on the sofa.

She hugged him from behind.
Mr. Yan Chan (Owner of Yu Group): "How have you been, sweetheart?"
Yu Chan: "I'm good. I heard you wanted to see me."
Mr. Yan Chan: "Just making sure my little sister is doing well."
Yu Chan: "Brother, can I ask for something?"
Mr. Yan Chan: "Anything."
Yu Chan: "I want to go to the U.S. next month for the annual fashion show."
Mr. Yan Chan: "But—"
Yu Chan: "Please, Brother. It's only for a short time."
He sighed.
Mr. Yan Chan: "Alright."
(But is she really going only for the fashion show?)
Yu Chan: "Thank you! Xiaolu, let's go. We need to pick up Xiuying from the office."
They left the mansion.

Meanwhile, Xiao Xiuying had been guided to a separate room for her interview.
It was her first interview ever, and her hands trembled slightly from nervousness.
The door opened.
Deng Min Chi: "Hello! Are you the candidate scheduled for this time slot?"

Xiuying blinked, confused. How does he know my name without checking the file? she wondered.
She silently concluded he must be a bit… strange.
Xiao Xiuying: "Sir, may we begin the interview?"
Deng Min Chi: "Who are you to order me?"
He paused— "I'm joking."
Xiao Xiuying: "I—I'm sorry…"
Deng Min Chi: "Are you scared?"
He laughed, "Alright, let's start."
The interview went on for some time. Finally, Deng Min Chi set the papers aside.
Deng Min Chi: "Congratulations. You've been selected as the Assistant to Chairwoman Mrs. Nuwa Hua."
Xiao Xiuying: "Thank you, Sir."
Deng Min Chi: "Since we'll be colleagues, just call me Min Chi."
Xiao Xiuying: "Okay, Min Chi."
Deng Min Chi: "Tomorrow at 10 a.m., we'll visit the hospital to meet the Chairwoman."
Xiao Xiuying: "Alright. I have to go now."
She left the room. Outside, Yu Chan was waiting for her. Xiuying got into the car, and the two friends drove off.
