Their is where my journey begins chapter - 22
Ethan, Clarita, and Enlight stepped cautiously into the forest, still shaken from the vivid dream that had dragged them from sleep. They weren't alone. Marco stood ahead, but he was just the beginning.
Soon, they noticed more figures approaching—Arthur and Axel, with Jack lagging behind, surprise written across his face. Conversations started immediately, each sharing the details of the dream. To their shock, it turned out everyone had experienced the same vision.
"I had it too!" Leo suddenly exclaimed, bursting through the trees. "Me too~ It was terrifying—I nearly laughed in my boots!"
Leyla emerged from the edge of a shallow stream, water dripping from her cloak, while Eden materialized out of thin air. No one knew how they had all been called, and arguments quickly broke out.
From the shadows, a calm, cold voice interrupted.
"I invited you all here."
All eyes turned toward Abyss. Questions flew in every direction, but his patience thinned quickly.
"Basically," he said, voice low and sharp, "you've been chosen by prophecy. The Titans will soon rise."
The group reacted differently. Leo, ever reckless, grinned and stepped forward. "It's been a while, man," he said, slapping Abyss's arm in greeting.
"You're the brat from the strawberry field," Abyss deadpanned.
Leo's grin faltered. "I'm literally older than you—your brat? But yeah, it's me."
Clarita crossed her arms, incredulous. "This is madness! We can't fight Titans—we're just demigods. We haven't even faced a normal god, let alone a Titan!"
Some nodded in agreement, but others, like Ethan, spoke up. "Look, I know it's hard, but if the prophecy chose us, that means—"
Abyss cut him off sharply. "Fate will assist us. Though we're not done. We still need to recruit more allies. There's a new king—or rather, a god—Homan. He's a titled Demigod who inherited godhood after the death of his divine parent."
Confusion spread across the group. "Wait… how does that work?" someone asked.
"Titled Demigods are champions of their godly parents," Abyss explained. "They carry their essence. When the parent dies, their domain chooses the champion to inherit their power."
He paused, letting it sink in. "Besides him, we also need a way to travel. We'll be moving through the Olympus version of the world. Nyx cast a spell to protect the human world from monsters—but here's the catch: the old version of Olympus exists in parallel. If it's destroyed, the mortal world will be destroyed too. The stakes are… absolute."
A heavy silence fell over the group. The forest seemed to hold its breath, as if the world itself was listening
The group paused, staring at the looming task ahead: traveling to Homan's location.
Leo broke the silence. "The scrawny kid of Hephaestus might have an idea. He's… super smart."
Nods all around. Without a word, Leo took it upon himself to recruit Jay. He didn't allow anyone else to follow, not wanting to overload Jay's mind with too many questions at once.
Inside Jay's workshop, the sight was… underwhelming. Jay stood there in a loose white tank top, looking miserable. It barely hugged his lanky frame, making him look even smaller.
Leo wasted no time, launching into the explanation. Jay's eyes lit up.
"Wait a minute… now that you mention it, electricity's been pushing me to build a flying ship for a while," he said.
He led Leo to his creation.
"I call it Titanic 2," he announced proudly.
Outside, the two examined the vessel. It was mostly complete but needed a bit of extra power and fuel to fly. With a surge of godly energy, they fueled it and watched as Titanic 2 soared into the skies.
Their journey wasn't peaceful for long. As they neared Homan's location, a desert landscape unfolded, and attacks came at them from all sides. Despite the lack of proper resources, they dispatched the threats quickly.
Abyss, ever mischievous, leaned toward Clarita.
"I have an idea involving you," he said casually.
Clarita narrowed her eyes. "What, you want me to beg with you on the street?"
"No," Abyss replied smoothly. "If I want theatrics, Leyla's face is… more suitable."
Leyla, immediately offended, struck him lightly. "Oh, you didn't just say that."
Abyss handed her some drachma. "Buy shampoo. You need it."
Leyla glared, though the gesture was not entirely serious—disclaimer, they were in Ancient Greece, not modern Athens. Her mind whirred, plotting her own mischief.
In the middle of the city, Abyss called for attention, his wind manipulation carrying his voice to every corner.
"I am a demigod sent by Athena! We lack resources to continue our journey. Perhaps I am a test from her—to see who is loyal and who is not!"
Citizens began questioning him. "How do we know you're real?"
Abyss smirked. "Have you seen a fraud manipulate wind? At the very least, I must be a demigod if I can do this."
Still skeptical, the crowd's murmurs grew. Abyss leaned toward Clarita and whispered, "Start acting dramatically."
In a swirl of wind, mimics formed—shapes of athena that echoed Athena's voice. Clarita spoke"oh my lord that's the goddess Athena"as she bow"I can't believe she answered the prayers of just an other demigod like me" as the echo of Athena. Voice confirmed they are real but I reality it's just abyss using some tricked. The people gasped in awe; even Clarita herself couldn't believe what she saw.
With resources secured, they returned to the ship. Abyss turned to Leyla, his voice sharp.
"And where do you think I got that fancy shampoo and those beautiful Greek attire from?"as she twirls showing her new dress I think it's called chiton
Leyla's hand throbbed slightly from the earlier hit, but she shot back, "You gave me the money—don't act mad!"
"You spent my drachma on shampoo you'll barely use. I bet Clarita will drain it before you get a touch of it!" Abyss groaned in frustration.
Clarita, sensing his annoyance, stuck her tongue out playfully.
Finally, at the ship deck, the group took a step back, genuinely impressed. They hadn't expected Abyss to secure all the resources and gear they needed.
"I'm just… too handsome," Abyss shrugged, voice dripping with casual arrogance.
The ship hummed to life, ready for the journey ahead.
