A short while later.
I headed back down to basement 1, where Lune was keeping watch. Thanks to Lune standing guard, able to hear the enemy's conversations echoing off the cave walls, I'd been able to rest for a bit. Now it was time to swap out.
"Lune, go to Luna and get some rest. I'll take watch from here."
"I rest best when I'm next to you, Master... Wait, I smell my sister."
"Of course you do. I slept on top of Luna."
"There's a really strong chocolate scent on you. You did it, didn't you, Master?"
"Yep."
"I'm next."
"Yeah. Just the two of us."
Lune figured it out right away, and forgave me just as fast.
'Can't really blame her for being annoyed.'
She'd been here for a solid hour without a break, keeping tabs on the enemy, while I, who'd promised to be back in ten minutes, had spent a full hour going at it with Luna. I'd be pissed too if I were in her shoes.
'Maybe I should let her have her turn like Luna did.'
