Behind a shattered pile of rocks in the distance, Dr. Gero's body was trembling uncontrollably.
The data… is wrong.
The plan… has completely failed.
Android 19—his perfect creation for energy absorption and combat analysis—had been disposed of like trash.
I must escape.
Dr. Gero clenched his teeth and carefully began retreating, step by step, suppressing every trace of energy and using the terrain as cover.
Just as Vegeta basked in the reverent stares of the others—
A lazy voice broke the silence.
"Hey."
Loren yawned, pointing toward the rocky area in the distance.
"That old man wearing the Red Ribbon Army hat just ran away."
Piccolo's expression changed instantly. He expanded his perception to the limit.
"Damn it!"
"Vegeta! He escaped!" Krillin shouted urgently.
Vegeta didn't even turn his head.
He remained where he was, arms crossed, his expression dripping with disdain.
"That kind of trash isn't worth me chasing personally."
"Cleaning up a fly already wasted enough of my energy."
"You—!"
Vegeta's arrogance made Piccolo's veins bulge in anger.
He knew exactly what it meant to let that man escape.
"That old bastard is the mastermind behind everything!"
"Forget it—CHASE HIM!" Piccolo roared.
He transformed into a streak of light and shot off in the direction Dr. Gero fled.
Krillin and Tien Shinhan followed immediately.
They absolutely could not let the creator of the Androids escape.
The island quickly fell quiet.
Only Loren, Vegeta, and Goku, who was now supported by Gohan, remained.
Vegeta snorted coldly and walked over, looking down at Goku.
"Kakarot."
"See this?"
"In the end, it still falls to me—the Prince—to clean up your mess."
Suddenly—
"AAAAHHH—!"
A blood-curdling scream echoed from the rocky area.
It was Yamcha.
"Oh no!"
Yamcha had been cautiously searching the rocks.
Without warning—
A cold, steel-like hand shot out from behind a boulder!
Pfft—!
The sharp hand blade pierced straight through Yamcha's abdomen.
Blood instantly soaked his gi.
"Ugh…!"
Yamcha's eyes widened in disbelief.
His strength drained away as he looked down at the hand impaling him.
Android 20—Dr. Gero—slowly stepped out of the shadows.
"One more insect."
He withdrew his arm and let Yamcha collapse like a broken doll.
"YAMCHA!" Krillin shouted in horror from afar.
Dr. Gero vanished back into the rocks.
"Tsk."
Loren clicked his tongue in annoyance, crushing an empty can in his hand and tossing it aside.
"This is way too inefficient."
"Vegeta."
"Stop showing off."
"Goku's sick now—so you have to do his job too."
"Go swat that old fly already."
"I want to go back and take my nap."
Do his job…?
Me? Replacing Kakarot?!
Vegeta's fists clenched as golden ki flared uncontrollably around him.
He took a deep breath, barely suppressing the urge to attack Loren on the spot.
Turning his head away, he snorted coldly.
"Hmph! That useless Kakarot only collapses at critical moments—pathetic!"
Despite the insults—
His body was already moving.
BOOM—!
Vegeta vanished in a golden flash.
"Found you, pest."
Vegeta's voice echoed above Dr. Gero.
Dr. Gero looked up in terror.
"No—wait—!"
Vegeta's face twisted into a cruel grin.
Golden ki exploded outward.
Super Saiyan!
Without hesitation, Vegeta slammed his fist straight into Dr. Gero's face.
BANG—!
Dr. Gero's skull deformed instantly.
He was sent flying, smashing through multiple boulders before crashing into the ground.
"Cough—cough…!"
Dr. Gero struggled in the rubble, alarms flashing wildly in his mechanical eyes.
"How… is this possible…"
Vegeta looked down at him with utter contempt.
"Don't use your trash-tier intelligence to measure the power of the Saiyan Prince."
Vegeta raised his foot—
And stomped down hard on Dr. Gero's chest.
CRACK!
"URGH—!"
Dr. Gero screamed.
"Kill me if you want!"
"But don't be proud!"
"My true masterpieces aren't failures like Android 19!"
He laughed madly.
"Android 17! Android 18!"
"They are the perfect killing machines!"
"They will awaken! They will hunt you down!"
"They are ten thousand times stronger than you imagine!"
"And besides them… I also created—Cell—"
Vegeta lost patience.
"You're annoying."
He raised his palm, aiming directly at the glass dome housing Dr. Gero's brain.
Golden energy flared violently.
"Finished with your last words?"
"Go to hell and repent."
BOOM—!
A devastating energy blast erased Dr. Gero's upper body in an instant.
