We were peacefully shopping in the shop when I heard chaos.
Yes, speak of the devils. Chaos=Section E.
I quickly kept the clothes we selected for ourselves on the counter for billing and told the shopkeeper to take care of it. Well, let's hope he does..
And we all hid in the dressing rooms.
Keifer was showing "+10000 aura-energy" and walking slowly with his hands on pocket, and was looking at the floor deadpan for no reason.
April pulled Yuri into one of the changing rooms to hide.
Wait.. what? She pulled HIM into the room, as in.. she pulled her into the same room? AW!
Stop, Jayjay. Stop acting pathetic..
Just then, Keifer said goodbye to April and Yuri and pulled me to a corner away from the others.
What? I pushed him aside, but he wrapped his arms so tightly that.. I was about to choke!
Wow! Choke me to death? Not really impossible.
He leaned down, and I kept a hand over my mouth. I know what he is about to do.
"Son of a.."
Right when I was about to process the surroundings...

Keifer kissed me on the cheek instead! Ci-N grinned, took my hand and started shaking it.
As if I'm the strongest? My arms will rip off!
Double hit from both sides? I ain't strong enough, AND I'M NOT EXPERIENCED ENOUGH.
Before he could start talking, I interrupted. "Ci-N.."
"Ha?" he asked, with a smile, nope. A CROOKED, CHEEKY AND CUNNING SMILE.
"You know, April is-"
Just as I was about to share the precious information about April and Yuri.. someone shouted 'CI-N!' at the top of their lungs, which I think.. It's an animal.
So dramatic, tss!
"CI-N, OH MY GOD.. HOW DID YOU GET HERE?!" It was April. I'm damn sure.
And, actually? It was her.
She screams so hard! How does she still have a good voice?
Sometimes, when I saw her picture in Yuri's phone before she returned, I really wondered for nights about her beauty.
Could you give me some of yours? Her hair, like damn!
She really is perfect; she's sweet, beautiful, and intelligent. What does a girl need?
I'm surprised that half of HVIS isn't behind her!
"YOU... you betrayed me, ate?" Ci-N screeched dramatically, hands like the wings of a bird, flapping too much.
"WHEN DID I-" Great. April came out of the dressing room, and she was followed by a stoic-faced Yuri. He nodded towards Keifer, bro code? bestfriend code? TO-PROTECT-THEIR-GIRL CODE?
Ah, the two best friends' face.. makes me want to hit them.
"Calm down, damnit-" Yuri muttered. And at Yuri's comment? April was jogging to Ci-N and was shouting, "DAMN YOU TOO, "
"SHE REALLY BETRAYED CI-N!" Kit whispered like a rich, judging aunty.
Kit's whisper was not quiet. At all.
"Kit," I said sweetly, turning my head slowly, "if you want to so-called whisper, please apply for the drama club."
The rest of Section E ran into the shop as if they owned it.
Ice cream cups in hand.
Loud.
Unashamed.
Sticky.
"WAIT, IS THIS A YU-RIL AND JAYFER DATE?" Felix screamed like a fanboy.
"No, idiot, this is a BETRAYAL ARC." Calix joined Felix.
Wait, Calix and Felix? Lix Lix? As in Lix square? MY MIND IS FULL OF MATHS.. QUESTIONABLE.
Ci-N put a hand over his chest like he was in a drama, "APRIL. You left us. For clothes."
"For clothes," April corrected, dramatic hand to chest. "And for PEACE."
"LIAR!" Ci-N pointed at her. "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO EAT ICE CREAM WITH US."
Yuri sighed. Deep. Tired. Like a man who had already predicted this chaos three days ago.
They stopped. Yuri and Keifer
Looked at each other.
…Yeah. That was definitely something. WHY DO I FEEL LIKE I'M IN THE FINALE OF A DRAMA?
April blinked between them. "Why did that feel coordinated?"
I crossed my arms. "Don't ask questions you're not ready for."
Ci-N turned to me next, eyes shining with accusation. "And YOU."
Oh. My turn. Wow.
"You," he said, pointing dramatically at me with a realllllyy.. long (and beautiful? You're going crazy, Jayjay...) finger, "hid."
"CI-N YOUR FINGERS HAVE BECOME LONG-" April screeched.
"I didn't hide," I replied flatly. "I strategically avoided unnecessary noise."
"That's hiding!"
"That's maturity."
Keifer snorted. Yuri covered it with a cough.
Ci-N gasped. "SO YOU'RE DEFENDING NOW?"
I smiled. Sweet. Everyone knows it isn't. (Keifer's POV: She really is savage, isn't she? Damn her-)
"I'm not defending anyone," I said. "...if anyone is betraying ME, you're dead."
The shop went silent. So, is this what they call pin-drop silence?
April slapped a hand over her mouth. "GOD."
Keifer muttered, "She's scary."
"..Sure she is." Yuri said.
Keifer glanced at him. "You agreeing too fast?"
Yuri shrugged. "Facts are facts."
My eyebrow twitched.
Interesting.
Ci-N looked between April and Yuri again, squinting. "Wait."
Oh no.
"You," he said slowly, pointing. "Why are you standing so close?"
April froze.
Yuri didn't.
"She tripped earlier," he said smoothly. "I caught her."
Yuri pointed towards his hands on April's arm.
April nodded furiously. "YES. GRAVITY HATES ME."
"YOU DIDN'T EVEN FALL," Kit whispered.
April whipped around. "KIT, I WILL PUSH YOU."
"APRIL. YOUR MOM TOLD THAT YOUR MAXIMUM DISTANCE NEAR BOYS IS 3 CENTIMETRES-" Ci-N shouted.
"That was... 6 YEARS AGO. THAT WAS 6TH GRADE. You didn't even know me back then, Ci! I was the one who NARRATED the history to you! You were a kid back then.. aw.."
"STOP-"
"Plus, I have men around me, not boys!"
"Stop."
"OH, OH? Do I pass your conditions, madam?" Ci-N exaggerated his words. Pathetic.
Yuri hugged April from behind. Wait.. wait.. wait.. WHAT? SO.. my intuitions were right.
They are together.
Wow.. this chaos... is beautiful.
I leaned into Keifer slightly. "Your people are exhausting."
He smirked. "You love them."
"…Unfortunately."
April suddenly kept a hand at Ci-N's shoulders. "COME ON. Ice cream. My treat. I missed you, idiots."
Ci-N gasped again. "SHE CALLED US IDIOTS."
"That's affection," Yuri said.
Keifer nodded. "High-level affection."
They shared another look.
Another nod.
I'm not blind.
I'm just pretending not to see.
As Section E dragged April toward the exit, she looked back at us and grinned.
"WAIT!" she announced loudly, "We still haven't got our clothes from the billing counter yet!"
Yeah.
WE DIDN'T.
April ran to the billing counter, and the person there gave her the bag of clothes.
She murmured a small, "Salamat, po kuya.."
"Walang anuman.. visit the store soon again!"
She nodded towards Keifer and me, "I'll give yours when we leave, eh.."
Clothes bought.
Ice cream pending.
