The five cultivators watching from afar suddenly felt Du Yue's gaze fall upon them… even though she wasn't looking and was still busy kissing Su Wen.
Her sword trembled lightly in the air, as if it were about to shoot toward them at any moment.
But just then, Su Wen gently separated his lips from hers and said softly,
"Don't kill them. Let them go."
Du Yue frowned in annoyance at being interrupted, but she still managed to stop her sword mid-motion. She didn't ask why. To her, it made no difference… those people were far less important than the kiss she had just been enjoying.
With a lazy wave of her hand, her sword flicked through the air like a dismissive gesture, clearly telling them to leave and not disturb her and her husband again.
The five cultivators instantly felt a crushing killing intent descend upon them… only for it to vanish just as suddenly.
They all sensed it clearly.
The murderous intent had disappeared the moment the young man in her arms… the one being taken advantage of… had spoken.
Their hearts trembled violently.
Only then did they understand… they had not survived because of luck.
They had survived because of him.
They felt fortunate that they had not crossed the ten-kilometre mark and offended that young man.
Feeling both grateful and terrified, the five of them quickly turned and fled, not daring to linger even a second longer.
'That Du Yue is too fierce…'
'And… is that really her husband?'
Those were the only thoughts left in their minds as they hurried away like frightened kittens, afraid that even breathing too loudly might offend the terrifying couple behind them.
The con-artist old man sat in the teahouse and watched the scene unfold… eleven cultivators kneeling in front of Su Wen, who was acting like some young master, even bowing toward an unknown direction.
"Sigh… the young really do take over the old…"
The con-artist stroked his beard, looking at Su Wen with a strange expression mixed with a proud smile.
"He has good understanding of the Real Dao. Heh... seems the days ahead won't be boring with him around." he thought smugly, already imagining future riches as he continued stroking his beard.
Then his gaze shifted to the clingy girl who had jumped onto Su Wen, casually waving her sword to kill cultivators while kissing him at the same time.
"Will I ever get married in this life…" he muttered, looking at the two of them with a deeply jealous expression.
Su Wen, still holding the little koala clinging tightly to him, finally managed to catch his breath and stand up. He then calmly disposed of all the bodies using his corpse dissolving liquid, ensuring the land would not be polluted.
After that, he took out a small table from his storage ring along with a few snacks.
He brewed Spiritivine tea for both of them, then gently placed Du Yue onto a chair… though she sat down very reluctantly.
Only then did he sit across from her and calmly take a sip of tea.
Around them, broken stones and scorched trees lay scattered everywhere, making the place look like the aftermath of a calamity.
"So, what does the lady boss want to do now?" Su Wen asked softly, feeling a faint sense of danger due to his cultivation still being lower than his wife's.
Du Yue blushed. "Husband, I want to pounce on you," she replied shyly.
Su Wen's mouth twitched. "My dumb wife… I'm asking about Moon City's city lord and his son."
Du Yue tilted her head, clearly uninterested. "Oh. Husband, do you want to kill them?"
Su Wen nodded calmly, a gentle smile on his face. "Yes. They harmed my wife. I have to clean up that scum."
Du Yue nodded, warmth filling her heart. She didn't really care about those people… her only wish was to be cared for by him.
"Alright, husband. We'll go there first."
Su Wen smiled softly. "After we finish our business, we'll leave for Sky Way City."
Du Yue took a sip of tea and asked curiously, "Husband, are we really going to the Central Continent?"
Su Wen nodded. "Yes. It will be very hard for you to break through to the next realm in the Eastern Continent. The Heavenly Laws here are weaker, and so is the spiritual qi."
He paused, then smiled gently.
"Anyway, I want to travel with my wife… wherever the destination is."
Du Yue blushed. Those simple words were like gentle petals drifting into her heart, making her smile bloom like a spring flower.
"I'd love to travel with you, husband. Without you, I wouldn't even want to leave the mountain. Hehe."
Su Wen smiled and lightly pinched her nose.
"Traveling with you… this journey will definitely not be quiet."
Then his expression softened slightly as he asked more seriously,
"Did you have any complications during the tribulation?"
"No, husband…"
"With the foundation you helped me build… it felt like strolling through a quiet garden path. I was so bored… and I missed you the whole time."
"All three cultivation techniques are extremely high grade. I didn't encounter any problems at all. After the breakthrough, I suddenly remembered the next stages of all my cultivation techniques." She smiled brightly, her eyes shining with gentle pride.
"Good. I'm glad everything went smoothly."
He gently patted her head in praise, his touch warm and reassuring.
Then he took out all the storage rings he had obtained and placed them on the table.
"Now that you've reached the Golden Core realm, and with your current foundation, anything below Grade 3 won't help you much anymore. I already have several plans to earn resources in the Central Continent. Once we arrive, we won't have to worry about cultivation resources."
He emptied the rings onto the table and began counting calmly.
"Two hundred and fifty mid-grade spirit stones."
"One thousand four hundred low-grade spirit stones."
"Two Peak Grade 3 spirit herbs."
"Three Mid Grade 3 spirit herbs."
"Five Low Grade 3 spirit herbs."
"Four Peak Grade 2 spirit herbs."
"Four Mid Grade 2 spirit herbs."
"Six Low Grade 2 spirit herbs."
"Three Low Grade 3 spirit pills."
"Six Peak Grade 2 spirit pills."
He then picked out three Grade 3 swords and placed them beside him for himself before continuing.
"The Grade 3 and Grade 2 treasures together are worth around fifty mid-grade spirit stones."
He glanced at the remaining items and said casually,
"The rest aren't very useful. They're only good for trading or keeping in storage."
He looked at her and smiled gently.
"These resources will be enough for my wife for a while. After that, we'll gather more… first from the Moon City Lord's son, he will pay for hurting my wife… and then by trading the extra spoils in Sky Way City."
He then looked at her seriously, as if truly wanting to hear her thoughts.
"Wife, anything you want to add?"
Du Yue stared at his otherworldly handsome face with a thoughtful, solemn expression, as though she were seriously considering something important.
Then, all of a sudden, her ears turned red.
She looked away.
"Husband… can you cook more meat for dinner tonight?" she asked with complete sincerity.
Su Wen stared at her in silence for several long seconds while she stubbornly avoided his gaze.
Finally, without saying a word, he packed everything back into his storage ring, cleaned the table, stored the chairs, lifted his wife, put her chair away, set her back on her feet, and let her cling naturally to his arm.
Then he sighed softly.
"Wife… I will handle the finances myself."
He paused, then added with a faint smile,
"Let's go to Moon City and cause a little chaos."
He pinched her nose gently.
"Do you want to eat spicy barbecue?"
Du Yue blushed again and nodded shyly. "Yes…"
Su Wen smiled warmly. "Then we'll have some wine tonight too."
Du Yue nodded again, feeling both embarrassed and happy. She held his arm tightly and walked beside him toward Moon City.
She didn't even bother wearing a veil… Her aura alone was more than enough to keep everyone far away from her and her husband.
