The surging pillar of silver mana that soared into the heavens made Yuuki seem, in that instant, like the very center of the world.
Even though he had tightly restrained it, the sheer pressure and presence leaking from that magic still weighed heavily upon everyone in the plaza. It was as if an invisible force pressed down on their chests.
Faces turned pale. Bodies trembled.
They couldn't comprehend how a commoner could possess such overwhelming mana—nor how they themselves had just dared to treat someone like Yuuki with such hostility and lived to tell the tale.
In that moment—
All the emotions that had been stirred and inflamed within the crowd vanished at once.
A lingering terror, like having brushed past death, filled every heart.
Those sharp enough to think quickly realized they had been used.
And even those who didn't fully understand could grasp one thing clearly:
to provoke a being like this meant something terrifying in a world ruled by power.
In any world where supernatural strength existed, the strong held privilege.
Especially in a kingdom where class itself was defined by magic power—Yuuki's status as a commoner no longer mattered. With power like this, he was not someone ordinary people could insult or trample upon.
Yuuki's expression remained calm. With a single thought—
Boom!
The towering silver pillar of mana shifted.
High in the air, it condensed into a colossal Titan made entirely of crystal-like ore, seven or eight meters tall. The mineral body gleamed brilliantly under the sunlight.
The ore titan hovered above Yuuki's head, letting out a silent roar toward the platform.
Whoosh!
In the very next instant, the titan melted away, transforming into countless vines that twisted and entwined, forming a massive serpent of vines, its tongue flicking as it stared coldly at the stage.
The vine serpent shifted again—
becoming a towering black dire wolf, standing upright, its beastly eyes gleaming with greed.
Then—
Mist Magic formed a white whale of fog.
Earth Magic shaped a warrior clad in earthen armor.
Lightning Magic gave birth to a thunderbird.
Mud Magic molded a giant of clay.
Ice Magic…
Snow Magic…
One after another, completely different attributes manifested, endlessly transforming above Yuuki's head into massive beasts of every shape imaginable.
The sky itself seemed to blaze with shifting colors.
Across the plaza, ordinary citizens stood frozen, eyes vacant, as if turned to stone.
Hidden among the crowd, those who had deliberately stirred unrest trembled violently, terror written across their faces.
Monster…
This is a monster.
At the edge of the plaza, Yami stared up at the sky filled with magical beasts, his eyelid twitching.
"This is getting a bit out of hand…"
"Just how many kinds of magic does this brat have?"
On the platform, the Magic Knight captains looked grim.
The battle at Raion Town had given them a rough idea of Yuuki's strength—but only now did they realize he hadn't even shown everything back then.
"That damn brat actually held back in our fight," Jack muttered, his shoulders trembling as excitement flashed in his narrow eyes. He licked his lips with a low growl.
Nozel clenched his fist and snorted coldly.
"Interesting. This is very interesting."
Mereoleona Vermillion had already split into a feral grin, fire dancing in her pupils.
She was now certain—the mysterious mage she'd encountered in the Grand Magic Zone was this very boy.
And compared to back then, his mana had grown to an absurd degree.
Multiple attributes?
Unlike the others, Mereoleona remained relatively calm.
Ever since mastering Mana Zone, she had understood one fundamental truth:
The true source of magic's strength lay in mana quantity.
No matter how powerful a person was, how could they truly compete with the mana of nature itself?
To her, wielding many attributes looked impressive—but in the end, it was merely having more tools at one's disposal.
"Wow! Amazing!"
Wizard King Julius Novachrono stared with sparkling eyes, letting out an excited exclamation.
"Your Majesty, please mind your composure," Marx whispered urgently, then looked up at Yuuki—who now seemed to stand at the center of the world—with a grave expression.
A commoner… wielding magic of this caliber?
How could something like this even exist?
For some reason, Marx was reminded of the previous Wizard King, Conrad. A strange intuition surfaced within him—
Compared to the Eye of the Midnight Sun, this commoner before them might be the real threat to the Clover Kingdom.
But as soon as that thought arose, Marx glanced at Julius beside him, and his unease vanished.
As long as Wizard King Julius was here, no one could threaten the kingdom.
Boom!
Yuuki's surging mana finally condensed into a massive crimson fire dragon, which roared and spewed flames skyward.
In an instant, the heavens were dyed blazing red.
"ROAR!"
The fire dragon—formed by the fire spirit Salamander—released a true, thunderous roar before shrinking into a streak of flame and settling back onto Yuuki's shoulder.
At the same time, the silver mana fully retracted into his body.
On the platform, Asta and Yuno stood with sweat beading on their brows—but their eyes burned with unyielding resolve as they locked gazes with Yuuki below.
"Then—come on, Asta. Yuno!"
"I'll be waiting ahead of you both!"
The calm expression Yuuki usually wore was gone. In its place surged a dominance never seen before as he laughed loudly.
"Hahaha! Defeat me—
and then become Wizard King!"
The gazes of the three crossed in midair, sparks almost visible.
At those words—
The captains' expressions darkened.
Though the words were directed at Asta and Yuno, to the captains it sounded as if Yuuki were saying: Defeat me, and you can become Wizard King.
"An arrogant brat," Mereoleona muttered with a low laugh.
Yuuki withdrew his gaze from the two boys and turned toward Wizard King Julius, who stood smiling at the rear. He gave a slight bow.
"My apologies, Your Majesty. I disrupted the festival."
With that, Yuuki turned and walked toward the edge of the plaza.
After taking just two steps, he paused and looked back at the utterly silent crowd.
"My name is Yuuki," he said with a smile.
"A commoner—Yuuki."
Then he continued forward.
Rebecca, eyes filled with admiration, followed closely behind.
Wherever the two passed, the crowd parted instinctively, opening a clear path.
The people in the plaza stared blankly at Yuuki's departing figure—fear and disbelief mixing with something else.
A strange sense of survival… and an inexplicable thrill… rose within their hearts.
When they looked at Yuuki again, their gazes held a different light.
A strong person was inherently compelling.
And when that strength belonged to someone who should have been at the very bottom of society—
The contrast only made that fascination burn brighter.
