After pouring his emotions out in tears and incoherent babbling, Eugene finally fell asleep about half an hour later while Arthur and Hannah massaged his limbs and his dad caressed his hair. His pretty, slightly plumpier cheeks were still wet, but he already looked blissful.
Well, he was surrounded and pampered by the three—soon-to-be five—people he loved the most in the whole world, after all.
"Phew..." Arthur sighed in relief. "Thank you, Father. You're not—umm—angry, right?"
"My adorable baby," Ian smiled, wiping his son's cheeks with the warm towel that Arthur brought earlier. "He never got to be like this even when he was a child. I wonder if he would still be this way if he weren't pregnant."
"Maybe not," Arthur said while caressing his husband's belly. It couldn't even be called a bump anymore now. "He'll probably wake up feeling all embarrassed, won't he?"
