As the worst had passed, the house turned considerably brighter. Even with Eugene's gagging and retching sounds from time to time, everyone was cheerful—or they got used to it.
Ella was taking her paid vacation to stay with Ian for the rest of the week. She had to take a day off for the trial anyway, so might as well. Hannah was happy with the attendance of another girl, and had been taking Ella to play with her in the witch cabin. Eugene started to think whether it would be better to have a set of twin girls to accompany Hannah.
But, well...Eugene was sure he would love them no matter what shape they came to him and Arthur.
