A bell rang in the distance, but neither of them cared. Finally, they broke apart, both slightly breathless and flushed. Sanemi rested his forehead against Giyuu's, a content smile on his face. "I love you." He said softly, his voice filled with emotion. Giyuu's eyes shimmered with unshed tears of happiness.
"I love you too, Sanemi." He whispered back, his heart full to bursting. Sanemi gently wiped away a tear that had escaped.
"We should probably head back now."
He said reluctantly, though he made no move to let go of Giyuu just yet. Giyuu nodded, though he seemed equally unwilling to part.
"Yeah... but can we just stay like this for a minute longer?" He asked, snuggling closer to Sanemi. Sanemi chuckled warmly, wrapping his arms around Giyuu in a protective embrace.
"Of course, my love."
He held Giyuu close, cherishing the moment of peace and intimacy before they had to face reality again. *They stayed in their embrace, the world around them fading away as they savored the comfort of each other's presence. Eventually, Giyuu pulled back slightly, looking up at Sanemi with a small smile.
"We really should go now. For real this time." Sanemi sighed dramatically, but let go of Giyuu.
"Fine, fine. But only because you asked so nicely." He teased, taking Giyuu's hand once more as they walked back to class together. They arrived at the classroom just as the teacher was about to start the lesson. Sanemi shot Giyuu a playful wink as they slipped into their seats. Giyuu rolled his eyes, but couldn't help the smile that tugged at his lips. Throughout the class, Sanemi would occasionally glance over at Giyuu, making silly faces to make him laugh. Giyuu would try to hide his giggles behind his hand, but it was clear he was amused.
The teacher noticed their behavior but chose not to comment on it. Sanemi frowned slightly at Giyuu's sudden change in demeanor, recognizing his attempt to hide his emotions. He leaned over and whispered to Giyuu.
"Don't go all stoic on me now. I like it when you smile." Giyuu's cheeks flushed slightly at Sanemi's words, but he kept his expression neutral, refusing to give in. Sanemi pouted dramatically, poking Giyuu's cheek.
"Come on, show me that pretty smile again." Giyuu bit his lip to suppress a smile, but it was clear he was fighting a losing battle.
Sanemi grinned triumphantly, knowing he was getting to Giyuu despite his efforts to remain stoic. The bell rang, signaling the end of class. Sanemi quickly gathered his things. "Let's get out of here before you give in to my charm." He teased, standing up and waiting for Giyuu. Obanai walk straight to his best friend and hit him. Sanemi winced and turned to Obanai with a scowl.
"Ow! What was that for, snake face?" He said irritably, rubbing his side where Obanai had hit him. Obanai rolled his eyes at Sanemi's reaction.
"Stop flirting with Giyuu in class. It's distracting."
He said bluntly, crossing his arms. Sanemi scoffed, wrapping an arm around Giyuu's shoulders possessively. "Jealous much? I can flirt with my boyfriend wherever I want." Obanai's eye twitched in annoyance.
"Ugh, just keep it PG. Some of us are trying to learn." He grumbled, turning away from them. The day passed quickly, in the evening the two men were in a restaurant. The restaurant was cozy and intimate, with soft lighting and classical music playing in the background. Sanemi had chosen a secluded table for them, wanting to have some privacy.
"So, how was your day after class?" He asked, taking Giyuu's hand across the table. Giyuu intertwined his fingers with Sanemi's, his expression softening.
"It was alright. Though I had to deal with some annoying nobles again." He sighed, referring to his noble family members who constantly tried to control his life. Sanemi squeezed Giyuu's hand reassuringly. "Those nobles can suck it. You're your own person, not their puppet." He said firmly, his eyes filled with determination to protect Giyuu from their influence. Giyuu smiled softly at Sanemi's words, grateful for his support.
"Thank you. I don't know what I'd do without you." He admitted quietly, his thumb gently rubbing Sanemi's hand. Sanemi brought Giyuu's hand to his lips, kissing it tenderly.
"You'll never have to find out. I'll always be here for you, my love." He promised, his voice filled with sincerity and affection. Sanemi noticed the stares and deliberately kissed Giyuu's hand again, more passionately this time. "Let them look. I want everyone to know you're mine." He said loudly enough for the onlookers to hear, smirking at their shocked expressions. Giyuu blushed furiously, both embarrassed and touched by Sanemi's possessiveness.
"Sanemi..." He whispered, half-heartedly trying to pull his hand away. Sanemi chuckled at Giyuu's flustered reaction, finally letting go of his hand but keeping a firm grip on his thigh under the table. "What? I can't show my boyfriend some affection?" He teased, his hand moving higher up Giyuu's thigh. Giyuu swallowed hard, his face turning even redder as he squirmed slightly in his seat.
"You're being too much..." He protested weakly, but didn't actually try to stop Sanemi. Sanemi leaned in closer, his breath hot against Giyuu's ear.
