The next morning, i woke up and pulled on my school uniform, still half-asleep. I opened the door and made my way to the living room. There he was, texting someone on his phone with that typical half-smile on the couch. He notices me.
''Hey sleepy-head, it's Saturday dumb-ass''
''...''
And then I snapped out of my sleepiness.
"Oh, i completely forgot'', i said it while forcing an awkward smile.
''Ugh, have I ever told you that your smiles are creepy?''
''oh, shut up.''
I turned and headed back to my room, i tossed my school uniform on the ground. I pulled on a grey t-shirt and black pants and walked back to the living room.
It seemed like my brother had already left—probably for an appointment with the person he'd just texted minutes ago.
''Oho~ maybe his girlfriend?''
I walked to the kitchen, grabbed a piece of bread, and started eating it.
Suddenly, i remembered that a new manga i'd been wanting to read was coming out today.
''New manga? Here i come!''
I put on my shoes and started heading outside, i seem to be in a good mood today.
A while later, i'm in the library searching for the manga i was looking for. ''There it is!'' I reached out of my hand to grab the manga. But i didn't notice. As I was trying to grab it, i felt a warm sensation on my hand. i looked beside me—so bright—was Aria.
''I'm so sor—'' My words stopped when my eyes met with hers. ''No it's my fault, so don't worry about it...'', she said with a cute smile on her face, i couldn't look her in the eyes any longer. I thought to myself; ''Why is she here all of the sudden?''.
''No, it's my fault. Aoto Riku from class 1-A, am I correct?''
''How did you know about that, is your viewpoint perhaps omniscient or something?''
''Eh...? no? I'm in the student council after all''
''I see'' I said with a straight face.
''Nice to meet you Riku, my name is Kaori Aria— from the student council''
''A- ah, nice to meet you Aria...''
the quiet noise somehow felt heavy.
''Uhh... what are you doing here anyway Aria?''
''I'm here to pick up the book my friend asked me to get. What about you?''
''It's Saturday, I wanted to read a manga I've been wanting to try recently''
''You and my friend really resembles each other'' she said with a smile on her face.
I felt a bit awkward speaking to a girl suddenly, I've never spoken so much to a girl before! Especially popular ones!
''Are you okay?'' She said with a worry-some tone.
''Nope, i'm completely fine!''
She glances at her smartwatch
''My friend is waiting, sorry I gotta go now. It was fun talking with you!'' She quickly ran with the book in her hand, I watched her run off.
''What a weird girl'' I spoke to myself
