Boom—
The two streams of energy released by the Odin Force and the Tesseract converged into a multicolored torrent of energy, blasting towards the Eye of Fear.
However, a dramatic scene unfolded once more.
The energy torrent, powerful enough to destroy any Planet, was once again dispelled by two dazzling, mysterious beams of light, one red and one yellow, released from within the Eye of Fear the instant it made contact.
"What?!"
Odin and Heimdall's expressions changed drastically at the same time, especially Odin's. This time, he truly could no longer remain calm. His single eye flickered with disbelief as he looked at Heimdall and roared in utter confusion:
"Why is this happening? What in the World is going on with this damned Eye of Fear? Why can it resist the power of the Space Stone?"
Heimdall naturally couldn't answer this question. After a moment of contemplation, he said with a very solemn expression, "My Lord, perhaps we should send someone to the Hall of All Gods. There are detailed records of everything in the Universe there, and we might be able to find a solution…"
"No."
Odin refused without even thinking, "Even if Asgard falls because of this, I will absolutely not ask that old pervert who likes to wear short skirts for help!!"
Apparently, the old pervert who likes to wear short skirts, as mentioned by Odin, was none other than Zeus, the ruler of the All-Powerful City and the leader of the Olympian Gods (Greek Pantheon), who also shared the title of King of the Gods with Odin!
The two could be said to be old enemies, and they had even challenged each other to fights multiple times over who was the true King of the Gods, but they had always been unable to determine a victor.
So, a thousand years ago, Zeus, unable to defeat Odin in battle, began to establish the Hall of All Gods, gathering "Gods" from various pantheons into his All-Powerful City and issuing a decree that 'Gods would no longer directly interact with humans, but instead let agents handle mundane affairs.'
However, among the various pantheons, Odin's faction, Asgard (Norse Gods), was conspicuously absent. The underlying intention was self-evident.
After all, there cannot be two Suns in the sky, and "Gods" do not need to be ruled by two Kings of the Gods!
So from then on, Odin and Zeus became true mortal enemies.
Heimdall's suggestion at this moment was tantamount to asking Odin to willingly bow down to Zeus, which for Odin, who cared most about his pride, was even more unbearable than death itself, so it was naturally impossible for him to agree.
"Cough, cough, cough…"
Odin suddenly began to cough violently, threads of blood spilling from the corners of his mouth. It seemed that his old illness had been triggered by his previous forced connection to the World Tree to activate the Odin Force, as well as the backlash from the power of the Space Stone.
Odin clutched the Eternal Spear tightly with both hands, struggling to keep his decaying body from falling, and said weakly,
"Let me… let me think again. There must be some other way to curb the Eye of Fear…"
...…
…
A week passed quickly, and the appearance of the Eye of Fear brought an unprecedented massive shock to the entire Nine Realms.
In addition to the Eye of Fear's continuous corruption and transformation of the surrounding star systems, due to interference from Hyperspace energy, Asgard could no longer use the Bifrost Bridge to quickly reach the other seven kingdoms besides Earth… To be precise, it could not reach them safely.
Initially, during several attempts at teleportation, the targets being transported were either wrongly cast into the dark and deep cosmic void, or they inexplicably exploded.
Noticing the anomaly, Odin immediately ordered the suspension of Bifrost Bridge teleportation until the true reason for this abnormal situation was found.
But soon, the situation worsened, and even Odin, directly using the Tesseract, could no longer accurately transfer to the designated destination.
Not only were the teleportation locations often widely off the mark, but the entire process was fraught with danger.
As a result, Asgard completely lost the strategic ability to deploy large-scale forces to other realms.
It seemed that with the appearance of the Eye of Fear, the entire Nine Realms had been isolated by an invisible force that could directly affect the Space Stone.
What Odin and the others didn't know was that this mysterious force, which appeared simultaneously with the Hyperspace energy and could interfere with the Space Stone, was released by Karl using the Reality Stone.
To curb Asgard's long-distance space teleportation via the Bifrost Bridge and the Space Stone, Karl specifically used the power of the Reality Stone to modify certain reality laws concerning the Space Stone's space teleportation ability.
The content of this modification was to prevent the Space Stone's space teleportation ability from being used normally within the Nine Realms, except for Earth.
It is well known that although the power of the infinity stones is not inherently stronger or weaker than each other, they can influence one another.
And Karl utilized this characteristic of the infinity stones, using the Hyperspace as a divine amplifier to magnify the range of the Reality Stone, thereby encompassing the entire Nine Realms.
This way, the space teleportation capabilities of the Bifrost Bridge and the Space Stone could be successfully restricted.
Because the other realms, except for Earth, suddenly lost contact with Asgard, these Worlds quickly fell into unprecedented chaos and panic under the influence of the Hyperspace energy.
The first to fall into chaos was Nidavellir, also known as the Dwarf Kingdom.
The Troll Lords, who had been coveting the dwarf blacksmiths' forging techniques and their beautifully crafted workshops for thousands of years, upon learning that Asgard would be unable to send troops to aid the Dwarf King in the short term, eagerly launched an attack on the Dwarf Kingdom.
What was worse, a group of space Raiders, originally stationed in the Centaurus star system outside the Solar System, somehow heard this news and gathered in the desolate Vanaheim (Dark Elf Realm), preparing to take advantage of the chaos to plunder several major realms.
But these were not the most troublesome problems currently facing Odin.
What truly made him feel difficult was that, as time passed, the phenomenon of genetic mutation among the natives and animals on the Planets corroded by the Hyperspace energy overflowing from the Eye of Fear became increasingly common.
Many people were transformed into distorted, deformed creatures, as well as highly unstable psychics who would "self-detonate" with the slightest provocation.
It was foreseeable that these ever-growing numbers of genetic mutants would inevitably bring continuous disaster and destruction to the various kingdoms, and even the Planets they inhabited, in the days to come.
And such chaos would be a devastating blow to those weak kingdoms that originally heavily relied on Asgard's "heavenly soldiers" for protection!
If Odin could not intervene in these realms in time, national-level… no, even Planet-level extinction events would inevitably occur!
"My Lord, the chain reaction triggered by the Eye of Fear in the Nine Realms is still rapidly intensifying. The chaotic mutations caused by Hyperspace fluctuations have shattered the ecological balance on the Planets near the Eye of Fear, and countless living beings are deeply trapped in the abyss of darkness and fear, unable to extricate themselves…"
Heimdall said hoarsely, "However, fortunately, the Eye of Fear has not continued to expand outwards. It seems to be constrained by some invisible force, and the affected area is limited to the Nine Realms within the World Tree… No, to be precise, it should be the eight great realms excluding Midgard!"
"Hmm?"
Odin, who had been somewhat listless on his throne, suddenly perked up and looked down at Heimdall in the hall, asking,
"Wait a moment, are you saying… that the people of Midgard have not been affected by the Eye of Fear and the chaotic energy?"
Queen Frigga and Thor in the hall also looked at Heimdall inquiringly upon hearing this.
Even Asgard was affected, how could a mere Earth manage to escape?!
"That's right."
Heimdall's expression was also somewhat puzzled, presumably he hadn't figured out the true reason either, but he still stated truthfully,
"After my observations over the past few days and multiple tests using the Bifrost Bridge, Midgard indeed shows no signs of being affected by the chaotic energy… This is also currently the only safe route connected to Asgard within the Nine Realms."
"However, for now, I cannot confirm whether the Eye of Fear's outward expansion was indeed blocked by Midgard…"
"Impossible, absolutely impossible!!"
Before Heimdall could finish speaking, he was rudely interrupted by Odin's furious roar from the throne, "Even Asgard cannot be exempted from the influence of that chaotic energy, how could a mere Midgard possibly do it?"
"Ah, this…"
Heimdall was about to say something when he heard Thor excitedly say, "Father, the people of Midgard are actually very smart, especially those few friends I made in the Avengers. They are very clever. Maybe they have thought of a way to stop the Eye of Fear's expansion!"
"Thor is right."
Queen Frigga hesitated slightly before also reminding, "Odin, don't forget, besides Asgard, Midgard has always had its own mysterious Guardian."
"You mean…" Odin's single eye widened slightly in sudden realization, "The Sorcerer Supreme of Kamar-Taj?"
Queen Frigga nodded heavily, then continued, "Although Kamar-Taj and the Sorcerer Supreme have always refrained from interfering with the lives and deaths of Midgardians, isn't the chaotic energy released from the Eye of Fear precisely the mysterious threat from other dimensions that those Arcane Masters need to resist?"
Odin fell silent upon hearing this. No matter how unwilling he was to admit it, in terms of magical attainment and heritage, the successive Sorcerer Supremes and Kamar-Taj were countless times stronger than him and Asgard.
(Note: This refers solely to magic. According to the timeline and settings of the movie Universe, Odin should have risen around the same time as the first Sorcerer Supreme, Agamotto, in his early years. The basis for this is the history of the Sorcerer Supreme explained by Arcane Master Wong to Stephen Strange and Mordo in the movie Doctor Strange at 53:38 seconds.
And Odin's magic is far inferior to Agamotto, who is known as the 'strongest human mage,' not to mention after Agamotto joined the Vishanti later on.
However, with the energy blessing of the World Tree, Odin's magic should be comparable to Ancient One's, but the latter, with the strong blessing of the Vishanti, might have a slight edge (Odin completely wins in terms of energy projection).
However, this situation continued until the next generation, when Asgard had already fallen completely behind Kamar-Taj. Even Loki, who was the most skilled at magic, was no match for Doctor Strange and was completely toyed with for more than half an hour, powerless.)
So, if the Sorcerer Supreme truly took action this time, it wouldn't be impossible for Midgard to successfully resist the invasion of chaotic energy.
Who would have thought that at this moment, Queen Frigga would add with a complex expression, "What's more, besides the Sorcerer Supreme, doesn't Midgard currently also have a Dimensional God?"
"His mysterious God of Wisdom had already predicted the coming of Ragnarok and the destruction of Asgard several months ago…"
Upon hearing this, Odin's mind immediately conjured the image of the man with the mysterious Chaos Star rune on his forehead, who had confronted him head-on in Greenwich several months prior.
If Queen Frigga hadn't appeared in time then, he and the other party would likely have erupted into an Earth-shattering battle over the ownership of the Reality Stone.
However, the Reality Stone ultimately fell into the other party's hands, which truly made Odin sulk for a long time.
"So I suggest it's best to send Thor to Midgard. Perhaps a solution to the Eye of Fear and the corruption of chaotic energy can be found there…"
Facing Queen Frigga's suggestion, although Odin felt somewhat embarrassed, he was still somewhat moved.
After all, the longer the delay now, the more disadvantageous it would be for Asgard and the Nine Realms.
However, just as Odin was hesitating whether to yield, he heard Heimdall suddenly let out an exclamation.
"My Lord, this is bad! The space Raiders belonging to The Marauders, stationed in Vanaheim, have suddenly launched an attack on Vanaheim…"
