Raya let out a snorting laugh through both heads, gave a cocky tilt of her wings, and vroomed into the sky. They were heading North. Viking, my favorite brooding, blood-drinking drama king, was apparently already packed and ready to go. The guy lives for my sass and a good existential crisis, so I wasn't surprised he said yes. But since the North is geographically inconvenienced (seriously, no teleportation? Get it together, Novella), Raya was the only way to make this a "tomorrow" problem instead of a "next month" problem.
I watched them disappear, then turned back to the silent, looming Titans.
"Well, Alex," I said, dusting off my hands. "It's just us and the creepy mirror-stalker for the next twenty-four hours. Hope you're ready for some quality bonding time, because I have a feeling the Wraith is about to send us a very 'Welcome to the Neighborhood' gift."
I looked at the shards of the silver mirror on the ground, the word WELCOME still staring at me like a threat.
