Raya, currently in her "room-service size" form, let out a huff of smoke that hit a mirror-leaf and reflected back at her. She snapped at her own reflection, her scales clinking like coins. "I need another sleep," her voice grumbled in my head, dripping with draconic sarcasm. "This place is gaudy. It's like a dragon's hoard, but without the actual gold. It's tacky, Master. Tacky and over-lit."
Sir Jin let out a low, grinding groan. He didn't speak, but the sound was the tectonic equivalent of a facepalm. Even Sir Alex was frowning, his massive Titan brow furrowed as he stared at a mirror-flower. The flower was a perfect replica of a lily, but its petals were razor-sharp glass that reflected his golden eyes back at him a thousand times over.
"It's not just a mirror effect, Joff," I said, stopping to look at my own reflection in a nearby tree trunk.
