Chapter 52 - I'm Not Human in Yu-Gi-Oh Chapter 52

Chapter 52: The Noble Dragon

Weevil grumbled as he ran to a rare, vacant machine and began the challenge mode.

The initial puzzle solutions were fairly normal, but as he progressed, they became increasingly... bizarre.

The main issue was the addition of a time limit.

Once the time ran out, failure was declared.

Given Weevil's knowledge and skill level, it was difficult for him to figure out the solutions to complex puzzles within such a short time.

Sure enough, he failed.

Fight harder with each failure—this was Weevil's life motto.

"Summoned Skull, Luster Dragon 2, Hyozanryu..."

"I must get my hands on you."

With a crazed expression, Weevil started the next round.

At that moment.

Panther Lady walked up to a wall near the entrance. On it was a leaderboard for puzzle solutions.

First place was Yu Miao.

After that, since no one else had successfully cleared any puzzles, naturally no one else was ranked.

Next to the leaderboard was a reward pool, with the words "For the capable, by right" written beside it.

Panther Lady thus noticed the card image posters in the reward pool, featuring high-star rarity cards like "Summoned Skull," "Luster Dragon 2," "Hyozanryu," and others.

She even saw a monster card, "Chainsaw Insect," that had 2400 ATK despite being only 4 stars.

Although Chainsaw Insect was a low-star, high-ATK monster—a rare and powerful find—it had a side effect.

When Chainsaw Insect battles, at the end of the Battle Phase, the opponent draws 1 card.

Panther Lady, like most duelists, thought the same way: it's just letting the opponent draw one card; it's no big deal.

With that 2400 high attack power, this drawback was actually acceptable.

"No wonder these duelists are acting like they're on stimulants; even I'm feeling the itch." Panther Lady mused thoughtfully; even she was feeling a bit tempted.

Each of these cards, bought individually, would cost a huge amount of money.

But how much is one game token worth...

What if you succeed?

"This is interesting, really interesting." Panther Lady wandered around the area a few times and finally spotted Yu Miao himself.

Inside the massive arcade, there were brand-new duel machines everywhere.

Only the things in this particular area stood out.

A dance machine?

In Panther Lady's view, a slender, graceful young girl was dancing on the machine, exuding youthfulness. Her waist swayed like willow branches in the wind, her movements elegant yet filled with allure... and her face was very pretty.

"A cute high school girl?" Panther Lady muttered to herself.

And Yu Miao was standing motionless behind this high school girl, his eyes not leaving her.

To put it perhaps a bit crudely, Panther Lady felt Yu Miao looked like a pervert or a lecher from those adult films...

——So this is what Yu Miao likes?

A few big question marks popped up above Leopard Girl's head.

In reality, Yu Miao's mind was entirely focused on the system shop; he wasn't paying any attention to Téa at all.

The level-up rewards had been collected. Apart from Gems, Yu Miao got some card packs of average quality.

The cards opened from the packs were of unclear value; he had already added them to the reward card pool.

Last night's duel with Kaiba, although a draw, didn't have victory as the quest objective, so a new card box had appeared in the shop.

If there was any regret, it was not being able to obtain a "Character-Specific" card pack from Kaiba.

A character-specific card pack might, with dumb luck, yield a Blue-Eyes or something...

On the other hand, this time the card box in the shop had a "Dragon" theme.

Question: In Yu-Gi-Oh!, which race has the largest and most "noble" card pool?

Answer: Dragon!

If memory served, the year Yu Miao transmigrated, the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship winning deck was "Dragon Link"!

The "Swordsoul" deck lost to Dragon Link in the finals.

Counting it up, that meant three WCS champion decks had come from the protagonists of the 6th Yu-Gi-Oh! series.

Trickstar, Salamangreat, Dragon Link.

There was one person whose deck didn't win a championship; Yousei won't name names, especially since his hairstyle was identical to that person's.

This was truly being invincible in the 6th series anime but struggling to get even one championship in reality.

Returning to the topic, Dragon is a massive racial card pool; Yu Miao wasn't sure what was inside this card box either.

The name of this card box was...

[The Noble Dragon]

Well, that was about as helpful as saying nothing at all.

Who doesn't know Dragon is noble?

"Let me see what kind of dragon you are." Yu Miao clicked in; cards of different rarities were neatly sorted.

The three UR cards at the top shimmered with "beautifully moving" rainbow-colored light.

"Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon?"

"Photon Stream of Destruction"

"Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon???"

The information in this card box was huge, especially Mirrorjade...

It startled Yousei into exclaiming: "Branded?"

He searched through the entire card box and couldn't find any other cards related to Branded besides Mirrorjade.

Including Albaz was missing.

At least give him an "Aluber" or something, otherwise how to summon Mirrorjade?

"Waking the Dragon" could bring out Mirrorjade, but Mirrorjade's floating destruction effect required it to be Fusion Summoned...

"Waking the Dragon" Special Summons, it's not a Fusion Summon.

Yu Miao understood; this Mirrorjade was basically just a decorative card.

As for Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon?

This archetype belongs to "Kaito Tenjo," the Number hunter from Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL.

Yu Miao thought about it and realized they actually had common ground.

They were both hunters; using the same Galaxy-Eyes was perfectly reasonable.

So this is how Galaxy-Eyes is supposed to be used!!

Yu Miao started pulling immediately.

[Gems -100]

[Congratulations on obtaining Quick-Play Spell Card "Photon Stream of Destruction" (UR)*1]

Yu Miao showed a satisfied smile. He merely tested the waters and got a UR in one pack; today he was destined to be the luck king.

Pulling one by one didn't match his status anymore.

Yu Miao directly did a 10-pull!!

[Gems -1000]

[Gems -1000]

[Congratulations on obtaining Effect Monster Card "Photon Thrasher" (R)*1]

[Congratulations on obtaining Normal Monster Card "Mokey Mokey" (N)*1]

[Congratulations on obtaining Normal Trap Card "Skull Dice" (R)*1]

"..."

For the sake of pulling cards, Yu Miao's mind was elsewhere, clearly looking like he had fallen into a frenzy.

Immersed in the ocean of dance, Téa sensed something was off. She secretly turned around to peek and saw Yu Miao looking at her.

This strange feeling nearly caused Téa to misstep and trip...

"Are you kidding me? Staring at me with such an intense gaze is so rude." Téa's inner monologue was rich. She secretly thought: "Could it be that my charm while dancing is too great, making Yu Miao unable to help himself?"

Thinking this, a faint blush rose on Téa's cheeks. Not daring to look at him anymore, she continued dancing.

Human self-delusion is the most fatal.

Yu Miao's expression grew more and more ferocious, even starting to grit his teeth.

——Damn it, just give me one Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon.

He wanted to be the "Kaito Tenjo" in the DM world!!
