The revelation leaves Robotica speechless as he stares in shock. Frankenstine can only nod in confirmation.
"So we need to find Lady Life and try to recreate her power on a global scale if that even works?" Robotica finally says as he punches the desk he was working at.
"Sadly yes." Frankenstine confirms.
"Who knows so far?"
"Me and a few over scientists."
"Take them to the meeting room I'll get the over leaders." Robotica says as he leaves sub-basement 3.
Within 5 minutes the leaders and 3 scientists including Frankenstine are in the lab meeting room.
"We'll start with the good news. Jole here's an arm." Robotica says handing him the robotic arm he made earlier.
"And the bad news." Jole asks whilst attaching the arm.
"There's no cure unless Lady Life can create one." Cam says from the corner.
The room falls silently before Frankenstine throws a plastic cup at Cam's head whilst shouting "HOW MANY TIMES DO I TELL YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM MY WORK!"
Cam catches the cup and puts it down.
"Stop fighting each other we have bigger fish to fry." Marrow says as he finally speaks up.
"We need a team to go to Lady Life's last location." Robotica says calmly.
"I say we take the strongest of us in case we need to kill them or run into another nasty threat." Mammon says as she punches the table.
"No we need to leave some behind to guard the sanctuary and green light refugees." Jole says as he looks around the room.
"We need to make an elite team then and leave a defense team at base." Robotica says as he starts writing names and scoring them with Marrows help.
Everyone stares for a while before Cam speaks up.
"We gotta keep the no cure under wraps though no one outside of this room knows about it."
Everyone agrees and Robotica finishes writing.
"Alright we have a base idea on who's going and who's staying and its interchangeable if you can find someone to switch with you." Marrow says as he looks at the paper. "Currently on the expedition team we have me, Robotica, Mammon, Frankenstine and him."
"So the rest of us are on defense?" Jole says calmly.
"Precisely"
"One quesssstion. Who issss the one you refer to assss him?" Titana asks
"Classified." Cam replies with a dirty look.
After the teams are locked in everyone goes their separate ways except Titana, Marrow, Frankenstine and Robotica who all stay in the meeting room.
"Alright what are we doing here? Two world class heroes and two villains in a meeting room in silence like we're old friends." Frankenstine says in obvious confusion at the situation.
"Well we all knew something was going on causing us to stay don't we." Marrow says calmly. "And I know you're here Cam."
Cam appears from his invisible state and stares at them from the corner where he's stood.
"Lady life ain't alive or it won't work simple as that." Cam says bluntly.
"Yes and no. She is with Reaper so their probably hiding in one of his ripples to the underworld. We're here about the other Immortals." Marrow says calmly.
"Staminatrix was a lucky kill and Björn's zombie is in hibernation until it senses life which is thanks to me, Titana, and our old exploration group before our base was raided forcing us to move." Robotica says in an equally calm tone.
"The only other Immortal we have to kill is fantastigal because she and Staminatrix were similar cases where they'll take the opportunity to kill whenever possible so they will kill everyone most people and try to keep the moral high ground." Marrow replies.
"We just need to hope the others aren't bit like Björn."
After the confirmation the 5 finally leave splitting up to go separate ways except Frankenstine who goes with Robotica to work on inventions and Titana who slithers behind them. The two scientists work together using their respective areas to attempt building a biomech.
"Robotica do you want me on the missssion." Titana asks as he watches them work.
"No you're needed here to protect with Jole and Cam we'll be fine." Robotica says calmly as he tweaks the leg of the biomech.
Elsewhere Marrow is walking towards Jole who's in the training area trying out his new mechanical arm with James's machetes.
"You enjoying the arm?" Marrow asks as a bone spike grows out of his hand in the blink of an eye stabbing through all the practice dummies in lethal areas.
"It works well sir." Jole says with a chuckle before launching a bonb at the impaled dummies from his robot arm.
"So Jole what was your profession before this whole thing happened."
"I was a tactician for a hero team."
"I thought as much. Which team?"
"The poly."
"Oh damn. Were you part of the poly?"
"Nah I was just there for tactics because their idiots." Jole says making them both laugh.
"You wanna know something cool about Robotica's works." Marrow asks with a warm smile.
"Sure"
Marrow then walks up and presses a hidden button making the arm start playing moan sounds. Jole stares at it in pure shock before trying to make it stop.
"How do I stop it?"
"I wouldn't know." Marrow replies as he leaves whilst laughing.
"YOU'RE A CUNT." Jole shouts after him his robotic arm still playing moan noises.
Back in the lab Robotica and Frankenstine are still working with Titana watching from the side. Eventually Titana speaks up curiously
"Sssso Frankensssstine I undersssstand that Frankensssstine is the sssscientist and not the monster but issssn't there a famous female biochemisssst in literature?"
"In the original novel Frankenstine was a female trying to create the perfect man but made a monster instead." She replies with a smile.
"How interessssting."
"So Frankenstine do you know who this unnamed guy on the mission is?" Robotica asks as he finishes the mask of the biomech suit which is now nearly done.
"Only Marrow knows about him. Some say he's one of the immortals overs say he's Darwin but no one truly knows aside from Marrow because every time he's on a mission only he and Marrow return and he always leaves and arrives in lockdown." Frankenstine says as she helps fit the biomech suit to Robotica's proportions.
"Interesting." Robotica replies as he slips into the biomech suit.
With the new information everyone finally disperses everyone with the same suspicion but no one knowing who is making them have these dangerous suspicions. Now everyone is asking the question "Can they all be trusted?"
