Chapter 2323 - A String of Buddhist Beads

"Excellent wine!" Qin Chuan praised earnestly.

"Good wine needs the right person to drink it. It's wonderful that Mr. Qin likes it," the City Lord of Tongtian City said with a smile.

"You're too kind, City Lord. You're now at the Immortal Emperor realm. Why haven't you chosen to venture into a larger world?" Qin Chuan asked.

"My potential is also limited. Besides, it's not bad here. I don't have such great ambitions. Here, at least I can live peacefully, passing down my legacy generation after generation. I'm very satisfied." The City Lord of Tongtian City poured Qin Chuan another full cup.

That's true. Dominating one's own world is actually the best outcome. After all, there are always people stronger than you, and the path to mastery is endless. If one pursues extremes, one will be constantly busy and restless throughout one's life. By the time one understands this, it's probably only at the end of one's life.

Qin Chuan never actually pursued that ultimate and distant martial arts path. He only wanted to live a better life for himself and those around him.

The reason he was so busy was to find his woman. Many things seemed to be predestined.

Never having imagined reaching this point, and with even greater potential, Qin Chuan was now beyond considering these concerns; his only thought was to reach the Nine Heavens.

Before leaving, Qin Chuan gifted the City Lord of Tongtian City some food and drink, as the Lord had treated him to fine wine, indicating a fondness for

both. Qin Chuan possessed the finest of these items, so catering to his tastes was the best way to build rapport.

With nowhere else to go, Qin Chuan settled in Tongtian City, deciding to stay for a while.

The city's atmosphere was excellent, thanks to the Heavenly Mystery Array, its spiritual energy abundant—the best he had encountered on his journey.

He knew no one here, yet he felt neither lonely nor isolated; on the contrary, he found it quite relaxing. He

spent his days strolling the streets alone, eating whenever he felt hungry, helping those in need, and even engaging in a few fights with local thugs.

Qin Chuan didn't kill anyone, nor did he use any particularly powerful martial arts techniques; he simply used his fists and feet, maintaining a level of strength roughly equal to his opponents.

Only after driving them away would he check on the person who had been bullied.

This was a blind fortune teller, dressed simply but cleanly, with a serene demeanor. Even with Qin Chuan's current cultivation level, he couldn't discern any cultivation level in him.

He was a middle-aged man, neither fat nor thin, with his eyes closed, running a fortune-telling stall in front of him. Several thugs were robbing customers of their money.

Qin Chuan wouldn't normally interfere, but these men went further, punching and kicking him, one even threatening to strike him with an iron rod.

Qin Chuan intervened, but without using his cultivation, just ordinary fists and feet, finally driving the thugs away.

However, Qin Chuan inadvertently sensed something extraordinary about this fortune teller. It might have been an illusion, but Qin Chuan knew it wasn't. He sat down right in front of the blind man.

"What would you like to know, benefactor?" the man asked.

Buddhism? Or Taoism?

Regardless of all that, Qin Chuan smiled and said, "I don't know either, just give me a random reading!"

"Alright, give me your hand, benefactor."

Qin Chuan extended his left hand, and the man held Qin Chuan's hand with both of his, his fingers slowly moving between the bones of Qin Chuan's palm.

Very slowly, the man finally stopped and released Qin Chuan's hand. He was blind, but his heart was not blind; in fact, he could see things in other ways, even more clearly than his eyes.

"Master, did you see anything?" Qin Chuan asked with a smile.

"Everything is predestined. Your fate is noble, benefactor, I cannot predict it accurately," the man said calmly.

"Master, please speak frankly," Qin Chuan said, still smiling.

The man hesitated for a moment before slowly speaking, "Then I will tell you. If what I say does not suit your taste, please do not take it to heart."

"Okay!"

"Your fate is noble, everything is good, but you have a great peach blossom blood calamity," the man said softly.

Qin Chuan was stunned. He wasn't worried, just curious, looking at the man with incomprehension.

Feeling Qin Chuan's gaze, the man sighed and said, "Many of your women have unresolved grudges, and you're caught in the middle, practically a dead end."

Qin Chuan shuddered. He might not have cared before, but now he seemed to realize something. But who?

Chu Shiqingzhu?

No, that definitely wasn't it. Qin Chuan felt it wasn't, but he couldn't be sure. The problem was, he didn't even know who among them was in this situation.

Was the Demon Lord a descendant of the Demonic Sect, or a member of the Nine Heavens Demoness Cloud Palace?

Chu Shiqingzhu and Tantai Huangqing were from the Nine Heavens Mysterious Goddess Palace, and Yu Luoqing seemed to be too. Qin Chuan was uncertain.

Qin Chuan always felt the Demon Lord was one of them, but sometimes the most impossible things become reality.

Qin Chuan didn't know whether to believe it or not. He had thought about this question before, but he always felt he could handle it.

As long as he was strong enough, he could handle it. But now he didn't know if he could handle it, because many things are very complicated.

"Please give me some guidance, Master," Qin Chuan thought for a while and decided to ask the other party for advice.

Qin Chuan was certain this person was no ordinary individual, merely a wanderer in the mortal world. As for his identity, he didn't know, nor did he need to ask, since the man didn't want to say; asking would be pointless.

The man shook his head: "It can't be resolved, I can't resolve it."

Qin Chuan didn't know when he had left the man's place. When he came to his senses, he was already quite far away, but he now held something in his hand:

a string of Buddhist prayer beads. They looked ordinary; he vaguely remembered the man giving them to him, saying that meeting was fate, and since he had nothing better to offer, he gave him these prayer beads.

Qin Chuan didn't think much of it, but then a strange change occurred. The supreme treasure within his body, the Buddha, intervened.

It directly took the prayer beads from Qin Chuan's hand, and then the beads appeared around the Buddha's neck.

Everything happened so fast that Qin Chuan hadn't even reacted; the Buddha had automatically recognized and absorbed them.

The fact that the Buddha itself intervened was enough to show that this thing was absolutely terrifying, but Qin Chuan still didn't know what its use was.

Furthermore, his strength and realm hadn't changed at all. Putting those thoughts aside, Qin Chuan stopped thinking about it. He figured things would work out eventually, and it was too early to be worrying about these things.

He settled down at the place where he'd been drinking with Cang Lan, finding the best, most comfortable one. After all, Qin Chuan didn't know how long he'd be staying—perhaps three to five years.

"Sir, someone's looking for you!" The hotel owner rushed over upon seeing Qin Chuan.

Qin Chuan was taken aback. Someone was looking for him?

"The Lord of Tongtian City?"

Qin Chuan followed the hotel owner upstairs.
