The next day arrived peacefully, without incident or threat.
Both Moon and Selene had rested sufficiently to remove the accumulated mental and physical fatigue from their harrowing ordeal. The sleep had been deep and healing.
During their stay, they'd been attacked by nobody at all. More significantly, during their rotating watch shifts throughout the night, both had realised something important: the Savi had placed warriors in positions around their dwelling, quietly guarding them while they rested.
This observation led them to an important conclusion, there was certainly danger in this area. If the Savi people were genuinely friendly and felt the need to post protective guards, it meant threats existed to their guests' safety. Whether it was from hostile factions within the Savi society itself or from dangerous monsters in the surrounding wilderness remained unclear.
