The bear, or the man called Himura, approached; his every step was heavy with a silent pressure. Cain lifted his face to stare straight toward the man's eyes. His black hair was somewhat messy, his face was average, and his pair of black eyes radiated warmth like blazing ambers.
The man stood nearly two meters tall, his body a solid embodiment of muscle. It was robust and thick, a testament to his life's work as a blacksmith.
As the man stood before him, Cain caught the tangy scent of carbon wafting through the air. The two stared at each other for a while before the man shifted his gaze sideways toward Senior Luna.
Senior Luna met the man's gaze, and Cain saw the girl's blue eyes sparkle in excitement.
"Uncle Himura, It's been a while."
Himura nodded, his lips parting into a genuine smile, then crouched to meet the girl's eyes. He stared at the girl for a couple of moments, then spoke.
"You are getting taller and prettier just like your mother."
