Gideon continued doing what he had planned from that day on.
Everyday, after he woke up, he went out in his track pants and a T-shirt for a jog for an hour. After returning, he would go to the garden to do push ups, pull ups, squats, planks, dead lifts and crunches before breakfast.
After breakfast, he would wait till Henry and Sienna leave to the farm and go to the garden to practice basic sword techniques and perform the Constitution Enhancement Exercise.
He never stopped refining his Spirit Energy throughout the day. He stopped it only when he was sleeping as he wanted it to become an automatic process in his daily life for him to start refining as soon as he wakes up until he goes back to sleep.
Henry and Sienna were supportive to him when they noticed a sudden change in his daily activities focusing on exercises increasing his strength. They prepared better food for him that contains more proteins and Spirit Energy as they realized he was doing this to increase his fighting power altogether.
A week passed soon and he was able to notice a slight improvement in his sword fighting techniques and he also completed the 16th step in the Constitution Enhancement Exercise and was in the middle of 17th step.
He went to the Yours Truly Blacksmith shop along with Henry to get his armor that was ready after the tiny upgrade done by the owner of the shop.
When he received his armor and checked it, he was surprised to see a piece of cloth extending from the neck that can cover his nose and mouth. Also a hoodie was attached to it. This would allow only his eyes to be in the open while his entire body would be under the protection of the armor.
There were iron plates attached to several places that covered his chest, back, manhood, ankles, knee joints and his arms and biceps leaving only a few parts of armor not being reinforced by the iron plates.
The iron plates were thin and not very heavy which would not reduce his speed in any way. The original weight of this cloth armor was 1.3 kg, but now with the addition of the iron plates, it weighed about 6.9 kg which is easy for any Soul Integrated individual to carry.
Along with that, as Samsung informed him last week, there was a lot of embroidery done in the armor. The initial brown cloth armor was now dyed black with golden embroidery done all over the armor and the borders, giving it a decent look while also having better defence than the regular cloth armor.
Gideon liked the upgrade done for the armor, mostly the embroidery and the new vibe of it. He was very thankful to Samsung for doing this for only 300 dallans which was paid in advance by Henry without his knowledge, preventing his hard earned and saved 457 dallans to be spent too soon.
Gideon went to the changing room located at the corner of the front shop to change into his armor. He checked it and found it a perfect fit for him, almost sticking to his body, but was also comfortable for him and didn't hinder his movements.
Since it was a perfect fit, he could also wear his casual clothes over it so he can just remove it when going out of the defence wall and doesn't have to use the public changing room near the wall, if he wanted to, but he decided against it as it would be hard to hide the hoodie that was newly attached to his armor.
He packed the armor in the large backpack and left the shop after showing his deep gratitude to Samsung for upgrading his armor. It might not be a better armor, but now, it provided better protection than that of the old armor.
He went back home as he didn't want to go to the Adventures Association after 11:00 AM to choose a task as it would delay him more to get back, probably he wouldn't be able to get back to the defence wall before dark.
He continued his sword practice and Constitution Enhancement Exercise the whole day just like he had done the previous days, which increased his endurance to pain and fatigue slightly.
Now he could continue doing all the 3 together for 11 minutes before needing to take rest which itself shows he is improving slowly in terms of strength, stamina and endurance.
At first when he started performing the Constitution Enhancement, reaching the 10th step would take him a minute, but now, after performing it continuously for a week and reaching the 17th step, he was able to reach the 17th step within a minute which itself is a great improvement in his eyes.
In the evening, after Henry and Sienna returned, he spoke with them for a few minutes before Sienna went to prepare dinner.
Since Sienna was more worried about him than Henry who was pouring his confidence on him, he wanted to discuss with Sienna more than Henry and wanted to let them know he was going to take on a task tomorrow.
On the contrary to his expectations, Sienna agreed with a smile which reminded him of his personal bodyguard, Raam, who would be accompanying him on the hunting tasks he would be taking. This made her feel relieved as a Tier-2, level-5 individual, who is stuck in the first bottleneck of Tiers, would be present to protect Gideon all the time.
He was grateful for Raam and Nila for agreeing to this as he had a slight impression that they may be a couple in secret as they looked very close, like Henry and Sienna. In arguing, mocking, playing tricks and by the end of the day agreeing to whatever the woman says, even if he do not agree to it. All this made him slightly think they might be a couple who hadn't publicly announced their relationship, yet.
Besides, Raam had to reluctantly agree to get a voluntary early retirement from the Adventures Association to act as a personal bodyguard to Gideon just because it was Nila's idea where no sane high Tier individual would agree to become a personal bodyguard for a child from a lower class farming family.
The next day, he woke up at 5:00 AM, went for his jogging, completed his morning exercise in the garden and had his breakfast before leaving for the Adventures Association by 9:00 AM.
To his surprise, he saw Raam standing at the front door of the house, his right arm raised in a fist as if he was about to knock the door if it wasn't opened all of a sudden, surprising him and making him stand still.
"Umm ... Good morning Mr. Raam. Didn't know you would come here today." Gideon said with a smile which made Raam lower his arm that was still hanging in a knocking posture with an awkward chuckle.
"Yeah. I came here so I can take you to the Adventures Association to select your next task." Raam said after a second. "Besides, you can just call me Raam. No need for formalities." He continued without a pause to which Gideon just nodded.
He locked the door behind him and left with Raam who came in a black and silver RMB motorbike, while Jaice flew behind them.
Raam drove the motorbike slowly at 40 kmph. He didn't want to scare the kid who was already gripping his shoulder tightly from the second he started the motorbike.
They reached the association building within 5 minutes which made Gideon sigh openly in relief when he got down at the entrance, as this was the 1st time he came in a motorbike. Though he had sat in cars before, they were fully covered and the wind didn't push you back like when you ride a bike, which made him feel scared and worried about his life.
Raam just smiled looking at Gideon's relieved sigh as he knew this kid doesn't even had ridden a bicycle prior to today which would have helped him to get a solid base about the two-wheeler he would have to learn to ride in the future after he gets to Tier-2.
In this world, age doesn't make a kid become legal, but the Tier as after fighting the monsters for a long time and granting 15 year old kids to get Soul Integrated, they changed their view on age setting.
They had changed it to the power setting where any person who reaches Tier-2, no worries how young they are, they are legally considered as an adult. If one couldn't reach Tier-2, only then the age setting would be used and they would be considered an adult after reaching the age of 22.
"Gideon, you just being a newly Soul Integrated kid, has a lot to learn." Raam said with a smile before he went to park the motorbike in the parking area of the building.
