He immediately concentrated on his spirit space and entered it to check on the refinement percentage of his spirit energy and found the spirit storage is at full capacity.
He was surprised to see that his spirit refinement was at 27.40% which is above the average of 27% which is mostly common for the initial spirit energy refinement.
He was happy to see it as it is better than most of his peers too. He felt immensely proud even though it is only 0.40% more than the average refinement percentage as he had worked hard on it all by himself to create this spirit Refiner rather than using the government issued pre-programed spirit refiner.
He also realized he was feeling tired as the energy needed to refine the spirit energy has a slight drawback, which makes him tired faster than usual, which is also mostly common for the new Tier-1, level-1 integrators like him.
He wanted to refine the spirit energy again, but he didn't want to tire himself for no reason. So, he decided to go to the Adventures Association to get an easy task to increase his money in his account so he can get a good weapon and armor to later go on tougher tasks that would help him to Tier-up faster as only when one fight in a dangerous battle, they level-up faster as per the research that had been conducted for decades.
He washed his body and went to the dining room and had his breakfast with Henry while Sienna had already left for the farm to tend the crops that were sown a month back which had started sprouting.
He immediately left for the Adventures Association and found it was less crowded than yesterday as he had reached it before 8:00 AM, an hour before the association staff came in to start distributing the tasks and to provide the commissions for completed tasks. But the association was already open for the adventurers to look at the tasks that are already open for them to take.
He went directly to a digital board that had the tasks that are currently open for him to take. Since he doesn't have any weapons or armor, he can't take on any combat tasks, but can take on tasks that are related to gathering herbs or odd jobs like helping in renovation or constructions which will not involve combat scenarios.
He had left Jaice in the house as it is not necessary for her to come with him and can be tasked in protecting the house, for now until he is capable of taking tasks that are related to combat which he will need her help with.
He went through the tasks listed slowly and realized there are not many tasks that are related to non-combat while he saw a task that needs helpers in a farm located in the outskirts of the village.
Being a farming village, he thought there would be many tasks involving it in the tasks board, but to his surprise, there were less than 5 tasks for it and he couldn't find any tasks related to herb gathering.
Even the tasks related to farming were also a little combat oriented, to protect the farm from menacing monsters like the red clawed rats, steel claw hens and other monsters that enter the farm destroying the crops in search of food.
When he was contemplating on which task to take, he felt someone coming close to him and turned towards them instinctively and saw it was the receptionist who had helped him in the soul integration procedure 2 days ago.
She still had the professional smile on her face and had black hair that went till her waist. She was a fair skinned woman with slender legs which made her look a little more attractive.
"You are Gideon, right?" She asked after getting close to him to which he nodded with surprise that she remembered his name as she would be handling many kids who are turning 15 to go through the integration procedure.
"I noticed that you still haven't come to get your armor and weapon after the integration procedure. You want to get them?" She asked again which startled him as he didn't know he would be getting a weapon and armor from the adventures association which made her feel a little bad.
"I should have told you about it the other day. It is my bad. The people living in the villages like Kamisk don't know about the privileges they get from the association. By the way, you can call me Nila." She said with her smile toning down a little.
Gideon was surprised not just because of the privilege of getting a weapon, but to sense that Nila is at Tier-2, level-5 which is the highest one can go before hitting the bottleneck to tier-up.
But he regained his composure in a minute and followed her towards the far end of the ground floor where there was a door with a steel tag marking it as 'Armory'.
Nila knocked on the door in a rhythm which felt like a code for him, but didn't ask about it, but entered along with her after he heard the approval from the other side to enter.
He was mesmerized looking at different types of weapons that were arranged neatly on the racks on all sides and the armors that were hanging over the hangers that were at the center of the room.
He knew what weapon he wanted to use and went to the rack that displayed different types and shapes of swords. He has already had a basic training from his school which gives them a good knowledge of which weapon they are better with and he came to know that he is good with a sword, better than other weapons.
He chose a short sword that had a blade of 55 cm long and 6 cm width and a 10 cm wooden handle as it would give him more manoeuvrability as it weighed only 1.8 kg which is good enough for him.
Then, he went to look at the armor and found all the armors in the armory are made of durable fabrics which he has used in school during close combat training classes.
He chose a brown color armor that had a few extra layers of fabric with cotton lining giving him a little extra protection and was also tear resistant which was also suitable and felt like tailor-made for him.
He noticed that the- only drawback in the weapons and armors from the association armory is that these are all basic Tier-1 weapons which will not be useful for him to fight higher tier monsters when he tiers-up in the future and also required maintenance more often than the higher tier weapons and armors.
But, the weapon and armor is what he was lacking and he was happy to get it for free from the adventures association, which is a privilege the newly integrated kids in small villages get, but never knew about.
He was happy and felt gratitude towards Nila for letting him know about it and also patiently waited for him to choose his weapon and armor.
When he went to the armory caretaker to confirm that the sword and armor can be taken by him, he was surprised when the caretaker handed him a box containing a brand new smartphone with a set of wireless air pods which also came under the privileges.
The smartphone he received was more advanced than the one he already had and also has better security from online hackers and device tracking features to find it in case he loses it or misplaces it
Giddeon immediately changed the sim and transferred all the contacts from his old phone to the new one. He also installed all the apps that he used in the old phone and reset it to factory settings, deleting everything from it. He had decided to give it to Henry as his phone was too old and was on the brink of going beyond repair, but he didn't have enough dallans to get a new one.
He also connected the air pods to his new phone and plugged it into his ears so he could get familiar with using them before he can start taking on combat tasks which he can now after procuring the weapon and armor.
He also got a leather sheath that he can strap to his back with a leather belt attached to it, for the sword and also got the packed armor along with a large backpack he can use to keep his clothes and other daily necessities when he goes out for the tasks that might need him to go on a long journey.
He was also given a box containing a small scroll that had a title 'Constitution Enhancement Exercise' which he knew is an exercise that will help him to go stronger, not relying only on tiering up. He never knew he would get this exercise as one of the privileges from the adventures association.
He was glad to get what he wanted and much more from the association. After expressing his thanks to Nila he left in a hurry to go home and read about the Constitution Enhancement Exercise and to start performing it.
