The two men were promptly kicked out of the Centre.
Kenneth glanced back at the large sign written in bold letters. "To think it would be this easy," he muttered to himself.
Lucien, who was standing next to him, looked at him questioningly. "It's not like you expected?" He asked, assuming he meant the process of becoming pairs.
"No, not at all."
"I see."
The two walked towards the exit, leaving the building. The sun was still out, beaming down at them. Kenneth realised that since he'd been here, it had not rained. Not once.
"So what happens from here?"
Lucien shrugged as he looked up at the cloudless sky. "Nothing. It's a pretty straightforward process."
"Hm. How boring."
"Is it? Do you find life boring, Kenneth?"
His brows furrowed, not expecting the question. "That's a random thing to ask."
Lucien chuckled, the sound tickling the back of his head. "It's important to build a good rapport with your pair, and the best way to do that is by getting to know them."
