Celeste stared at him for a few seconds after he spoke.
Her red eyes searched his face, as if trying to figure out whether he was joking or simply insane. When she realized he was completely serious, she crossed her arms over her small chest and turned her head slightly.
"Hmph. Don't be ridiculous," she muttered.
But the faint pink on her cheeks gave her away.
Just then, the door opened.
Liora stepped back into the lounge, holding a folded set of clothes in her arms. She looked between the two of them with a bright smile.
"I'm back," she said cheerfully. "Did you guys have fun while I was gone?"
Celeste immediately stiffened.
"There was nothing to have fun about," she said quickly, a little too quickly.
Elion raised a brow but said nothing. Liora walked over and handed him the clothes.
"Here. Shirt, trousers, and your tunic. I didn't know which boots you preferred, so I just grabbed whatever."
Elion took them with a nod. "Thanks."
