Huo Yuhao was also dumbstruck.
He knew exactly how terrifying Su Yan was—so terrifying that even his Brother Heavenly Dream had hidden in fright.
Why on earth had they bumped into him here?
'Teacher.'
Tang Ya stepped forward at that moment. Bibi Dong was studying the barbecue with Su Yan; she glanced back, saw Tang Ya, and gave a slight nod.

everyone turned to Huo Yuhao, puzzled, wondering what Little Monkey meant.
Su Yan said calmly, 'Come back. I already know.'
Only then did Little Monkey flutter back, still staring curiously at Huo Yuhao's head.
Su Yan waved him over. 'Come here, Huo the Cheater. Take over the grill your teacher set up for you.'
'S-Senior.'
Huo the Cheater edged forward, not daring to look Su Yan in the eye.
Su Yan patted his shoulder and said with perfect seriousness, 'achieving godhood begins with selling grilled fish.'
With that, Su Yan strolled off with Bibi Dong and the others.
Tang Ya patted Huo Yuhao's shoulder. 'Little Yuhao, don't be nervous. Grill plenty of fish—we'll be back to eat later.'
Watching Su Yan's group disappear into the distance, Huo Yuhao's hands were still shaking; he didn't even dare breathe.
An ordinary Titled Douluo was already enough to make him nervous, and Su Yan had single-handedly crushed the entire Shrek Academy.
To every student of Shrek, Su Yan was the definition of terror itself.
Inside Huo the Cheater's Sea of Consciousness,

'How dare you go near that man? He'll spot us!'

'The masked woman is Teacher Xiaoya's Master, so technically my Grandmaster too.'
'What?'
Heavenly Dream had seen everything through Huo Yuhao's eyes and gasped, 'That woman's mental force is terrifying—she's probably a super Douluo. They may already know we're here.'
'But they don't seem hostile. That man doesn't look as fierce as he did this afternoon.'
Once the group was far away, Beibei tiptoed over and whispered, 'That's Dean Wang's grandpa?'
'Why does he look about our age?'
Huo Yuhao blinked. 'Senior BrotherBeibei, do you think that Senior is a Divinity?'
Beibei shook his head. 'No idea, but if he were a Divinity he'd actually be less scary. The terrifying part is that he isn't—yet he can suppress all of Shrek and beat back God King Tang's Divine Thought.'
Those words weren't Beibei's; Mu En had told him earlier while getting a tooth fixed. And it was true: if Su Yan were a Divinity he'd merely be a Divinity, but he wasn't—and still dominated Shrek and chased off God King Tang's thought. That was the real nightmare.
Meanwhile
Su Yan's group wandered the streets. Ma Xiaotao couldn't hold it in. 'Su Yan, look how badly you scared Huo Yuhao and Beibei—they were shaking!'
Su Yan rolled his eyes. 'What's there to fear? Think I'd dig that million-year soul out of his Sea of Consciousness?'
'Stop joking. I study the Analects—I'm civilized. I don't spend my days fighting like you lot.'
…a moonless, windy night, perfect for murder and arson.
Part 1.
Suotuo City.
Outside the Rose Hotel, Chrysanthemum and Ghost Douluo let a sliver of Titled Douluo aura show.
Suddenly
a black and a yellow figure rushed out.
'Humans, what do you want?'
Chrysanthemum and Ghost Douluo stared in shock.
'A Hundred Thousand Year Spirit Beast?'
'Damn it!'
Instantly on high alert, both released their Spirits.
'Wait.'
A voice drifted down from above.
Ling Yuan flew out of an upstairs room and called,
'Elder Chrysanthemum, don't attack. These two are Erhei and San Huang—subordinates Su Yan captured.'
Chrysanthemum and Ghost Douluo froze, staring at Ling Yuan in bewilderment.
What the heck?
Hundred Thousand Year Spirit Beasts as minions?
Ling Yuan turned to Crimson King and Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger. 'Go back inside; these two Titled Douluo are friends of mine.'
Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger glanced at Crimson King, who rumbled,
'No.'
'We have to stay and keep an eye on them.'
Ling Yuan sighed and asked the two Douluo, 'Why have you come so late?'
Though bursting with curiosity, Chrysanthemum Douluo answered,
'Official business.'
'You already know what happened today. Old Ghost and I decided he'll sneak out tonight and castrate that wasteGrandmaster—what do you think, Ling Yuan?'
Ling Yuan blinked.
'So urgent?'
Ghost Douluo said calmly, 'I studied haemostasis and suturing today, and brought anaesthetics. He'll lose his manhood without ever knowing it.'
Chrysanthemum Douluo nodded firmly.
Ling Yuan didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but she had to admire the efficiency of Bibi Dong's trusted pair.
'Fine.'
She asked, 'Do we all go?'
Chrysanthemum Douluo replied, 'No need to dirty your eyes. We'll wait here; let Old Ghost handle it alone.'
Ling Yuan nodded, and Ghost Douluo melted into the night.
Only then did Chrysanthemum Douluo ask, 'What's with those two Spirit Beasts?'
Ling Yuan shrugged. 'Remember the Su Yan you investigated? His Little Monkey dragged them out of Star Dou Great Forest as errand boys.'
She looked at Crimson King and Dark Demonic Evil God Tiger, curious. 'Thought you'd run off, yet you're still here—so loyal?'
'Hmph!'
Crimson King let out a cold snort.
Run? Where to?
'You don't even know where I was caught—right inside my lord's territory. Where could I possibly run?'
Of course,
though the pair had initially been 'persuaded' by Little Monkey's virtue, life was actually pretty good now.
Lying around the hotel room all day with food delivered to their paws—wasn't that more comfortable than life as Spirit Beasts?
There's an old saying: Spirit Beasts are never slaves—unless room and board are included.
