3rd Person POV
Next Day Night
Azazel had just entered Baraqiel's home with a file in hand and Shuri was already seated along with Baraqiel.
"How are you doing Shuri?" Azazel asked while taking the seat opposite to the two of them
"I am fine Azazel, thank you for asking. So, Baraqiel told me you have something important to talk about" she asked to which Azazel nodded and went straight to the point "It's about my son"
Shuri's eyes widened in surprise and asked excitedly "That's great Azazel, why didn't you tell me before? Who's the lucky lady? How old is your son?"she bombarded with questions to which Azazel just scratched his head while thinking about where to start and how explain his situation to Shuri
Baraqiel who has been silent till now spoke up "Suri, be patient and let him talk."
Shuri couldn't understand why such good news was treated like it's a complication to the point of being hard to explain but she trusted her husband and waited for Azazel to explain more about his son.
Azazel, finally taking a deep breath, spoke up "Shuri, What I'm about to tell you is a secret that has been between myself and Baraqiel for a long time." as he slid the file in his hand towards Shuri.
She understood that it was serious from his tone, picked up the file, and started going through it and said "According to this file, you and Baraqiel took this orb from some devil's scientists in the underworld when the Devil Civil War ended, and it's been in your possession for the past 500 years"
Inside the file was a picture of the Black Orb with its summary.
Shuri questioned "What does this Orb have to do with your son, Azazel?" but Azazel didn't reply. He just took out his phone and played the security video of the orb becoming a baby.
Her face went through different expressions as the video played and when it finally ended, her next question was immediate. "When did this happen Azazel?"
Azazel replied "Three years ago but there's more" he said and played the next security video of when Blake woke up from his sleep".
Shuri watched the video in silence and when the video ended, she looked up to Azazel, who understood and spoke up "This happened a year back and I named the child Blake and decided to raise him as my son"
She spoke up with an expression mixed of concern and worry "Please don't tell me, he has been living in an isolated place for the past year"
Azazel nodded and looked down because he felt ashamed about it as a father
Shuri's concern grew even more when Azazel confirmed. Children at such young age shouldn't be isolated, they have to explore and get to see new things in the outside world and have contact with others of their own age
Even though her family is hidden, she takes Akeno out regularly during her grocery shopping.
Children need to see the outside world otherwise they might develop some type of negative behavior but she knew that if Baraqiel knew about this and still allowed it, there must be a bigger reason behind such a decision. So, she didn't lash out at the two of them and asked in a quiet tone trying her best to control her emotions "Why make such a decision to isolate a child, Azazel?"
Azazel reply was immediate "It's because of his power level" but Shuri didn't say anything and waited for him to explain more about it
Azazel continued "Shuri, you know about the different power levels and the order in which it ascends from the bottom in our supernatural world, right?"
Shuri nodded and said "The lowest being normal Humans and the highest being is Great Red Dragon who resides in the dimensional gap, and there are many classes In-between the two"
Azazel nodded and continued "That's where our concern and problem lies. You see, when Blake woke up, he had the power level of a Low-God-Class being, which is just one step above Sirzecs Lucifer who was born as an ultimate class being, who is a Super Devil now!"
He took a breath and continued "If Blake steps out of my lab, the powerful existence of this world will be able to sense him."
"So what are you doing about it? You can't just hide him in your lab forever" She questioned in a demanding tone
Azazel nodded "I know, that why I have been working on an artifact to mask his power level but it will take time to complete it"
"Honey, take care of Akeno tomorrow. I'll visit Blake with Azazel" she told Baraqiel who knew that it was more like an order
Azazel cuts in "Shuri, before that you have to understand the fact that Blake's power level is much stronger than myself and Baraqiel. Baraqiel wanted to bring you and Akeno to visit Blake but I wanted to make sure you understand this fact before visiting him"
Shuri didn't wait and spoke up immediately "Has he hurt you or Baraqiel?"
Azazel was taken back by her immediate question and shook his head "No, he hasn't"
She raised another question "Has his power gone out of control?" and for this question, Baraqiel spoke up before Azazel could "Actually, he hasn't used or shown any of his abilities. He only uses his wings to move around and other that that he has been behaving like a normal human child since he opened his eyes and I can personally tell that he is a good kid"
Shuri nodded and said "There is nothing else to discuss. Tomorrow I am meeting him, understand?" her tone made both their spines shiver and they quicken nodded their heads
Shuri's smile returned and she was excited to meet Blake, she said good night to Azazel and went to sleep while Azazel looked at his friend and spoke
"Man, she looked scary for a second there" and Baraqiel just nodded and gave a piece of advice to his friend "For future reference, never do something that will anger her Azazel"
Azazel took his friend's words to heart and said left, back to his Lab.
Next Day
It was early morning and Azazel was standing at Baraqiel's door
*Knock*Knock* The door was opened by his friend Baraqiel, who actually looked tired.
Curious, Azazel asked "Why do you look so tired?"
"I didn't get any sleep last night because Shuri was excited to meet Blake, so she spent the whole night asking questions about him" Baraqiel said in a tired tone
Azazel didn't know what to say because Baraqiel was a supernatural being and skipping a single night's sleep wouldn't make him look like this, which raised the question of how Shuri talked to him, but such thoughts were dangerous because Baraqiel's warning about Shuri was still fresh in his mind.
So, Azazel just nodded and entered the house, only to be welcomed by a tall stack of boxs that was almost reaching his height
Azazel asked "What's with the box?"
Baraqiel who was behind him replied while rubbing his eyes "Ingredients"
"What Ingredients?" Azazel asked and Baraqiel spoke while trying to control his yawning
"I told her Blake likes to eat and so she got these…" but his sentence was interrupted by Shuri who came with an excited smile on her face
"Ah, Azazel. You're finally here. Let's go, it's already late and we're taking this boxes with us" she said to which poor Azazel could only nod and carried the boxes.
