Chapter 113 - Chapter 112 Task Completed

Yabemia looked at the Rou Jia Mo on the table with a conflicted expression. The ultimate experience brought by that bite of Rou Jia Mo was like a kitten's paw scratching at her heart. That kind of deliciousness was completely different from Yang Zhou Fried Rice. If she could only have one bite, what a pity it would be.

"Sister Mia, your little bunny is showing!" Amy pointed to Yabemia's chest.

Yabemia paused for a moment, glanced down, and blushed instantly. She quickly turned around and buttoned her shirt back up, her face flushed, and turned back with her head down, not daring to look at Mai Ge.

Mai Ge, on the other hand, remained calm. Having seen all sorts of ups and downs, he naturally wouldn't care about such things. Yabemia was still a young girl and an employee of the restaurant.

"Sister Mia, don't you already know how to retract your tail away?" In that case, you can retract it after you finish eating the Rou Jia Mo. Anyway, we all think that tail is very cute." Amy suggested after taking a bite of fried rice.

"If you still want to eat, I think that's a good idea." Mai Ge nodded. There were only the three of them in the restaurant.

Looking into Mai Ge and Amy's sincere eyes, Yabemia hesitated for a moment, then nodded, picked up the two chairs from the floor, grabbed the Rou Jia Mo from the table, let out a soft breath, and took another big bite.

The delicious flavor spread in her mouth, transforming into a violent surge of heat that swept through her. Yabemia's tail, which she had just retracted, suddenly shot out again. However, having learned from her first experience, she restrained herself this time, refraining from letting out a dragon's roar. Although her chest heaved slightly, there was no more of a clothing explosion.

The golden dragon tail swayed merrily behind her. She quickly finished the two Rou Jia Mo, looked at the empty bag in her hand, and licked her red lips with her pink tongue, still feeling a little unsatisfied.

"Sister Mia, wasn't it super delicious?" Amy asked with a touch of pride.

"Mmm, Boss Mai's Rou Jia Mo is super delicious!" Yabemia nodded sincerely. Before entering the restaurant, she had never eaten such delicious food, and couldn't even believe that such delicious food really existed. "And, I feel like my strength has increased after eating it; it seems to have a special effect on me."

"Then you can eat more in the future." Mai Ge smiled and took a bite of his Rou Jia Mo. Now, it's not just Amy praising it, but both of them are praising it, which feels pretty good.

After lunch and a short rest, Mai Ge opened the door on time when it was time to open.

Although Yabemia's transformation is still out of control, she can retract her tail if she concentrates for about a minute, so it doesn't have a big impact on her life, and she's not that worried.

Moreover, after transforming, her strength was enhanced again, which made Mai Ge somewhat envious. Her small body seemed to contain infinite power, and she didn't feel tired at all when going back and forth between the kitchen and the restaurant hundreds of times a day.

"Goodbye, Boss Mai and Amy." After cleaning up the restaurant that evening, Yabemia smiled at Mai Ge and Amy, who were about to wash the dishes. Today's smile was worth more than the previous year. It turns out that work can be so pleasant.

"Goodbye, Sister Mia." Amy waved her little hand, hugging the Ugly Duckling with a slightly sleepy expression.

"Be careful on the road." Mai Ge said with a smile.

"Okay." Yabemia nodded earnestly, turned, and went out.

Mai Ge put the last few plates in the dishwasher. Having someone help made things much easier. Although he had been cooking all day, but he didn't feel tired at all. It was clear that those tasks were more tiring than cooking in the kitchen all day.

"Congratulations, host! You have completed the task of selling 1000 Rou Jia Mo within ten days. The tofu pudding recipe has been unlocked. Please enter the Chef God Trial Ground within twenty four hours to learn it." Just then, the system's voice rang out.

"Finally, the task is complete. It really wasn't easy." Mai Ge looked at the glittering experience pack in his mind. It seemed he would have to prepare to spend several months in the Chef God Trial Ground tonight. Sweet and savory flavors were practically two separate dishes.

Carrying the sleepy Amy and Ugly Duckling upstairs, after washing up and watching the two little ones fall asleep peacefully, Mai Ge gently lay back down on the bed. He glanced at the time; it was already ten o'clock at night. He slowly closed his eyes and entered the Chef God Trial Ground again.

Besides savory and sweet tofu pudding, the experience pack unexpectedly included a spicy tofu pudding option, but it was grayed out and couldn't be clicked, meaning he couldn't learn it yet.

"Salty or sweet, now that I'm the boss, I should definitely try to attract all the customers and make as much money as possible." Mai Ge smiled, having already made up his mind.

As for whether it will spark a debate between sweet and savory in another world, that's not something he needs to consider. He's not like that chubby boss, a staunch supporter of the sweet side, who would sell a restaurant that had multiplied its revenue several times over to open a bar just because it sells savory tofu pudding.

A grinding machine, cylindrical in shape and about the size of a rice cooker, has been added to the stove. Next to it is a wooden bucket and a brown earthenware jar. On the ground next to it are two large sacks of soybeans, gypsum, various seasonings, and various side dishes that can be added according to personal taste. Everything he needed was there.

"This should be the simplest dish. I should be able to get out of here sooner." Mai Ge muttered to himself, recalling his past reviews of those tofu pudding shops. His expression turned somewhat strange; things weren't as simple as he'd imagined.

The soaking time for the soybeans was skipped. He watched as the soybeans were ground into a fine soy milk in the grinder, then poured into a wooden bucket covered with several layers of gauze for filtering. The filtered soy milk was then poured into an iron pot and brought to a boil over high heat.

Dissolve the gypsum and pour it into a large earthenware jar. Then pour the boiled soy milk into the jar. As time goes by, a magical scene appears: the originally thin soy milk begins to solidify slowly and turns into tender white tofu pudding.

"Making tofu pudding is really simple." Mai Ge raised an eyebrow, surprised that he succeeded on his first try.

"The tofu pudding is too yellow and too firm. It's not up to standard!" the system's voice announced.

"It does seem a little…" Mai Ge leaned closer to examine it carefully. It was indeed slightly yellowish. It seemed that although the process was somewhat foolproof, it wasn't as simple as he had imagined.

Days passed on the wall. Mai Ge went through hundreds and thousands of practice attempts, only to start over again after each rejection from the system.

"System, should this be okay?" Mai Ge gently placed the two bowls of tofu pudding down.

The bowl of tender white tofu pudding on the left is topped with golden-red sugar syrup, making it crystal clear; the bowl of white and bright tofu pudding on the right is drizzled with orange-red and translucent gravy, and sprinkled with minced garlic, shredded pickled vegetables, wood ear mushrooms, and scallions, making it brightly colored.
